Chef Chic

Admittedly, maybe I’m slightly biased since we have the same name; Chef Wendy is incredible. She created, delivered and served food for approximately 30 of my closest friends and family. I loved working with a chef, versus a traditional caterer. I was able to describe the menu I envisioned and she executed. I’m pretty sure she’s up for any challenge. Throughout the planning process, she was patient with my changes and questions. She was always responsive, but she is extremely busy. Don’t get frustrated or worried if she does not respond immediately, she always responds. She is a true professional and I feel so lucky that I got to work with her. It’s impressive to see a chef take over a kitchen. I haven’t even got to the food… amazing! Everyone complimented and I am still eating leftovers, by choice, two weeks later! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Chef Wendy.

I’m not known for my quests into the culinary arts. In fact, just putting a few measly scraps on the table each day is a for realz big deal for me. (Ok, there’s no food at my house most days. I can’t lie). My husband sometimes feels like he’s been abandoned on a deserted kitchen island. Poor guy.
So when the holidays roll around, and I really need to get with the program, I call in back-​up. Specifically, one Chef Chic, the talented Ms. Wendy Gauthier.
It’s not because we have the same exact birthday — month, day and year. Or that we’re both from the Fairfax County part of Alexandria, VA, or that that we went to the same junior high and high school. Or that we were in band together… (keep those band camp comments to yourself). Nope, it’s absolutely NONE of that. It’s because Wendy is awesome. She’s CIA (Culinary Institute of America) educated, and she makes house calls.
She prepared a deep fried turkey for my family this past Thanksgiving, and dropped it off at our home, just in time for us to add sides and enjoy! She can make any kind of food, for any kind of diet. She’ll cater, bake, grill, fry, fodue… She even offers prepared meals you can pick-​up for busy week night eats… you name it, she’s game. If you’re like me, you’ll keep her number on speed dial.
