Im Colombian, and when I start missing something and dont feel like cooking I definitely go to this place. Their food is authentic in taste and the place is cozy. If you are looking to try something new and delicious! I recommend my favorite juice in the whole wide world, Lulo(I always get it with milk, which is very common in Colombia, but if you are not up for it go with Lulo in water) My husband is american and he loves it also, he often gets the Carne Criolla. If you want to try something traditional and you like big plates, get the bandeja paisa. Anyway! Good luck and I hope you enjoy it.

The food here was ok. The one thing that I didnt like is that the menu stated that they served«fresh juice» however the pineapple juice that I ordered came from a can. The chicken that I ordered was good however believe it was a bit over priced for the quality.

The people at Cilantro’s are very friendly and polite. They go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied. They also love to answer questions about their food, and the food is delicious. The plates are just packed with food. They have a variety of fish, chicken, and beef dishes. You are bound to like something on their menu. The service is excellent, they have definitely created a family friendly atmosphere, and the food is just tasty. Definitely worth checking out.

my wife and i ate at the rita ranch location before it closed. food itself was decent, and would have been 2 stars, but… with such poor organization and service in disarray, i had to give them the dreaded single star. a couple with a baby left as we were going in, and were furious, stating to never go there. warned us not to go in, as it took them 30 minutes to seat them and another 20 minutes for drinks to come out. it was saturday night and slightly busy, but so is every other self-respecting restaurant. i had the chicken with chimichurri sauce on the side. slightly dry but ok, edible. chimichurri was on the greasy side, too much oil and not enough flavor. plantains were fried too long and were dry, and it was not seasoned well. you could tell they didn’t season the friend plantains when it was hot, so the salt did not stick to it. basic culinary 101 type stuff. not my wife’s favorite restaurant to say the least, which explains why i have not been back since then. the service bears mention because it is some of the slowest i have ever experienced. friendly enough, but you have to wait a long time for every single little thing: drinks, water, side condiment, what have you. and no one pays attention to your needs at all, if you need more water or a refill on your beverage. they never checked in with us, you have to try to get a server’s attention and wave them over, which is not easy mind you. we ended up having 3 different people serving us because the service was so sporadic. basically unacceptable. with service so poor and the food not good enough to rescue the place, the restaurant does not merit a repeat visit.

My ex is Colombian & always on the lookout for Colombian restaurants, so of course we had to check it out. I gave it 4 stars for the food, but the service wasn’t great.(I think we were just unlucky & got a young kid who was filling in for someone). We were seated immediately but waited at our table almost 20 min before we finally had to grab a passing waitress & let them know we were still waiting. While waiting for our food, another waitress passed by & asked if we’d had our soup yet. We said we didn’t order soup, to which she replied that it comes with every meal complimentary. Our meals were delicious, very authentic Colombian food, especially loved the empanadas, which were exactly like the ones we had in Colombia.

This restaurant was one of the worse I have ever been to. Entering the restaurant it had a comfortable atmosphere. From the time we ordered our food until we actually got it was about 40 mins(there were literally 3 other tables). I ordered salmon and upon receiving it, I noticed it was raw. I showed the server who kinda hmmm and haaa over it. Their resolution to my problem was to offer us dessert. I feel ripped off because we had to pay for a meal that was inedible. I will never go back there. I am completely mortified that a restaurant would run like that.

This was a great find in Rita Ranch. We were greeted by the owner who offered us a taste of her fish stew made with all kinds of fish and coconut milk. A real interesting mix of ingredients, but tasty. We started off our Colombian journey with empanadas. Unlike the Peruvian type I’m used to, these were smaller and made with a different type of dough. The inside was filled with shredded beef and peppers and were served with a fresh made salsa that was very good and refreshing. Mr. L and I shared their asada plate with salad, soup, roasted potatoes and meat. I loved their chimichurri. It was a fresh mix of herbs, garlic, lemon juice and oil and it added a nice touch to the tender steak. Our huge plate of food only cost about $ 12. You can’t beat it for something that was not only healthy but tons of food! The owner was super nice and talked to us for awhile about her journey from Colombia to Tucson. The restaurant itself was clean and had flat screen TVs.
