I am wheel-ey in love with everything about Cyclopsicle! The far out flavors of icey goodness, being served from a pimped out trike, makes the They Might Be Giants fan in me want to scream Cyclopisicle Rock from the roof tops. It was one of the first reviews I read prior to moving to AZ, and it was tops of my list of Unilocaly places I most deeply desire to seek out as soon as I land. I’m a HUGE fan of the logo. It’s over the top cute. Combine the logo, off the chart flavor combos and throw in an adult tricycle chock full of popsicles… now this is my idea of a forward thinking genious. Apparantly, Gus, used to be a florist, so that is apparantly how he got his finesse and flair in his style. I was dying to try the peanut butter bananna and raspberry chocolate… alas, they were sold out. Side bar: these are his three dollar offerings. I was also lemming for the pineapple jalapeño, and as luck would have it, it was not sold out! Score for two bucks. Sweet fresh chunks of pineapple mingle with fresh jalapeño… sweet heat(yes, it gets a little spicy), totally neat! His menu varies daily and it written on a chalk board… also on my radar is his mango pop covered in chipotle chocolate and the cantaloupe with mint. He is trying out the location outside of the main library during the week. I got to sample it at The shelter’s food tuck roundup last week. However, I have a secret confession, I like to see his ideas, then I hop over to pinterest and try to find«copycat» recipes. However, super secret confession, I am yet to actually make one… perhaps, I shall leave it to the master!

Tried the pineapple jalapeño and the hibiscus ginger. The pineapple was great but the hibiscus was AMAZING!!! My husband got that one and I nibbled at it since he was driving. I wished I had gotten two more of just that kind. So yummy!!!

Well I finally got to try out Cyclopsicle at the latest Food Truck Roundup. I had pretty high hopes after reading some of the other Unilocal reviews, I wanted to love Cyclopsicle. I hate to disagree but I just wasn’t that impressed. I was looking forward to some amazing fruit based popsicles… but from the get go none of the menu choice for the day sounded that great to me. I went with the Peanut Butter and Banana popsicle and was underwhelmed. What was really unusual was biting into the center and finding a large pocket of brown sugar, which all be it delicious, would have been better if the sugar was integrated more thoroughly into the popsicle. I may give them another try because the man who runs the stand is very nice and I have read glowing reviews but that’s just not enough to get him more than 2 stars for this experience.

I finally got to try Cyclopsicle(love the name btw) at the Food Truck Round Up tonight. I have to say I was freezing and wasn’t really in the mood for a popsicle but I was so determined to try one of these that I put that aside. I tried the pineapple jalapeño and loved it! Super fresh and refreshing with some heat at the end but not overpowering at all. I personally would’ve liked more heat but that’s just me. I can see myself hunting down this guy for many, many more during the miserable summer months!

Once again I treated myself to Cyclopsicle! The pops that I tried today was the pineapple-jalapeño and the cantaloupe w/mint. I have to say that I really enjoyed it this time because it was really warm outside. So let me tell you about the pineapple pop, it was very spicy, but oh so good! First I tasted the fresh pineapple then I got the kick from the raw jalapeño! It was such a delicious combination of flavors! Now for the cantaloupe w/mint, it was very refreshing! You can really tell that he uses fresh fruit. And you can also see the ribbons of mint throughout the pop, but I didn’t get much of the mint flavor. It was still good nonetheless.

All I’m saying is Chipotle-Chocolate covered mango pop. OK, I’ll say a little more. YUMMY!!! There’s other flavor’s and I’m sure they’re good too. Oops, I almost forgot the most important thing customer service. I was interested in Gus’ bike because I was thinking of buying a 3wheel soon. We talked about his bike and how he customized it. There’s a photo of Gus and his bike somewhere. Not to worry I’ll see him next week at the food truck roundup & hopefully there’ll be a small crack in the crowd where I can take they’re pic. I bet the bike has a name. ..
