CAN YOU PLEASE EXTEND YOUR HOURS??? At least for delivery. I’m so tired of having to order sub standard food from Silver Mine. Especially when it always takes an hour to get it.

I normally don’t post reviews, but this place is the greatest. It’s currently storming pretty badly, but I called when the rain let up and asked if they would deliver. Not a problem! He ran over in the rain, found me in my office on my office floor since the receptionist left and wasn’t there to direct him to me, and then he apologized that the bag was a tiny bit wet. Way above and beyond. Not to mention the amazingly fast timing. I walk there sometimes and they’re so friendly. Everyone greets you when you walk in and everyone wishes you a great day when you leave. The sandwiches are usually done by the time I’ve finished paying for it, and always delicious. This Jimmy Johns is definitely the best. Just wanted to share my experiences with this place! Great job.

Jimmy John’s sandwiches are always very, very good and pretty close to delicious. But this particular review isn’t about the food necessarily, because I’ve never eaten at this location. I’ve purchased food from here, though, for the homeless individuals who are frequently on the corner a few feet away. They’re always there when we’re leaving 47 Scott, and if someone asks me for food instead of money, I’m happy to oblige. This Jimmy John’s is in a great location for that.
The service is fast and friendly. The «free smells» that Jimmy John’s advertises don’t disappoint in this location, either. They’re mouthwatering even though I just finished eating dinner not ten minutes ago. One day we’ll actually eat here, but I suspect it’s not different from any other location in town.
My husband does work downtown, and he says their deliveries are super fast and efficient, and they do a great job with bigger catered events.
All in all, this is a great Jimmy John’s, and it serves many downtown yummy sandwich needs!

Fastest ever! I ordered the BLT and at 8in I didn’t think I’d finish it but it was just too good to leave anything behind.

Jimmy John’s: ground level, just above the Subway…
If one had to view the corporate, fast-​food sandwich joints in terms of quality and placed them accordingly to geographic terms, Subway would appropriately be placed below ground. Sub-​par is Subway. Extending this line of logic, one would then place Jimmy John’s right on ground level: not disgusting enough to have to bury the food but not good enough to exalt it in the heavens.
As the 85 701 zip code suggests, this location is right smack in the middle of downtown Tucson. Ironically, it’s steps away from a Subway location. I wonder if the staffs of these two establishments ever have gang wars on the streets of Congress. That would be cool to watch as I’m eating an average sandwich that I could probably have made at home.
So let’s get to the food. I cannot really say more than that it was okay. On my first and only visit thus far, I opted for the «Big John,» a simple roast beef with mayo, lettuce and tomatoes. The quality of the meat, the most important ingredient in sandwiches next to bread, can best be described as better than Subway’s. The rest of the ingredients seemed fresh and of decent quality as well. As there was nothing else in it, all of this put together cumulatively made for an average sandwich.
Like many places downtown, there is not much seating on premise. In fact, at around the noon hour on a weekday, not one table was available. So actually, I sadly wouldn’t have witnessed any kind of Subway vs. Jimmy John’s gang war unfold on Congress. Thankfully, the service was lightening quick, as I barely filled up my cup with Coke when my order was called.
So off I went to eat a picnic lunch at the nearby park with the Pancho Villa statue. Yep, I actually sat at a table just underneath his shadow, close enough to have thrown my roast beef sandwich at him. Okay, going back to the actual review. I consider myself a fairly big sandwich/​deli fan. Seeing that I’ll be stuck in the downtown area for the foreseeable future, I will most likely, and willingly, make a return visit to Jimmy John’s. Needless to say, I probably will not order the roast beef again. The last time I went, I was actually eying their version of the Italian sub.
Boy, how do I wish I could write a review of a sandwich shop in the downtown area that would place it high above both Hell’s neighbor (Subway) and its earthly cousin. I’m sure it was look down, perched in the clouds, and spit upon Jared. Did I mention that I don’t like Subway much?
