H2O Discotec

H2O had a cool atmosphere and lots of awesome decorations. The theme is blue, and the countertops have water flowing through them. There is a main bar/​dance area downstairs, and a lounge/​second bar upstairs. Also, possibly because the club is relatively new, it was cleaner and more well-​maintained than most other dance clubs that I have been in. The bartenders were nice and respectful.
The biggest drawback, however, was that there were not many people inside. It was almost awkward because no one was really dancing other than the workers that H2O hired to dance amongst the crowd (which was awkward). My friends and I stayed in there for at most 30 minutes and then left to check out other bars and clubs.
For girls, there is a cover charge of $ 5 but you get a wrist band and can come back in the same night. I might consider going back — I really hope that H2O gets better business. It would be a really cool club to dance in… if there are people to dance with.
Bottom line: If you’re into quieter dance clubs with awesome decorations/​atmosphere, I suggest you go to H2O, buy a drink, and head upstairs to the lounge. If you’re looking for a club to dance the night away, look elsewhere with better attractions and more customers.

Awesome place! Great atmosphere. After having traveled extensively and visited clubs in party cities like Dubai and Ibiza, this club really holds its own! Me and my friends visited downtown Tucson and really wanted a place we could dance but also have some good cocktails. The bartender was great and made us a muddled berry mix exclusively for us which was delicious! The lighting is all cued to the music and they had a super fun DJ with a great mix of edm and pop music. The upstairs is an outdoors lounge area with beautiful décor and great views of all downtown! Overall, great service, bartenders and staff were super friendly and attentive. More of an international exclusive feel, unlike most run-​down sports bars or beer bars in Tucson. Definitely looking forward to going back!

Amazing place! Such a transformation! It’s like a little piece of Vegas in Tucson! The lights and sounds attack your senses (in a good way) and the atmosphere is very fun! I’ve been here several times, and the staff is very hospitable! And I know many women that go that feel very safe there, especially compared to some of the bars in the area!

In a quest to find some place to dance while intoxicated other than Hotel Congress, H2O was found! Upon walking in on a Friday night around 9, the place was nearly empty. I was disappointed to say the least, but while chatting with the cute bartender in a space suit (yes, the staff wear space jumpsuits or sometimes neon space bathing suits) we were reassured that it would get busy in about an hour. Right he was! This place became packed shortly after 10 or so and I got to dance the night away! They have some awesome DJs that play great club music. I always seem to meet some fun people while I’m there too. I have gone on both Friday and Saturday nights and both times there was no cover charge. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the drinks are a little pricey and the bathroom stalls in the ladies room have see-​through-​like doors (I’m sorry, I don’t want to see someone going potty nor do I want anyone seeing me, but with a couple of drinks in me I tend to not care anymore). If you are looking for a good place to dance on the weekend, this is it!

It was hard to give a star value based on our experience which varied but I decided that «meh, i’e experienced better» is a good way to describe it. We tried going one night but realized we weren’t dressed appropriately and weren’t in the mood to pay cover so we made a plan to come back another night. We went back a few weeks later, on a Friday or Saturday, and arrived to no line but a cover. When asked the guy claimed that there were 40 – 50 people inside. We paid the cover and walked in to… an almost empty room. The space inside IS very nice and the servers and bartenders were friendly. However, as a «club» it was a pretty poor experience. There were very few people there and those that were there were probably just as disappointed as we were (especially the ⁷⁰⁄₈₀ year old dude posted by the bar waiting to ogle the young girls… except there were none). We left after a drink and let the guy outside know that lying wasn’t very nice (the count when we entered was maybe 25 and when we left, something like 14, total).

I can’t believe the incredible transformation of this place! I liked it when it was sapphire but this place looks like an upscale club you would see in Vegas. I love how it feels like you are in aquarium as soon as you walk in. Their house drinks are yummy, but they are on the weak side. I’m sad I won’t be in the area when they open the next two floors. I bet the roof top will be phenomenal!

One minute you are standing in downtown Tucson, the next you are stepping into a Vegas caliber club. I would definitely recommend H2O for a night out with the girls or if you are looking for a classy place to dance and have fun.

Everything about this club is over-​the-​top fantastic — from the beautiful girls to the killer sound system to the jacuzzi-​topped bars, this club is like nothing else in Arizona (or probably anywhere). Every surface, from the floors to the walls to ceiling to even the bathrooms gleam, glow, flash and bubble with light and water effects. Unreal!
Can’t wait for the outdoor skydeck to open! Then my rating will jump to 5 Stars for sure.

Upscale and glitteriffic! Vegas feel right in Tucson. Customer service was TOP NOTCH. Drinks in a timely manner and the energy of the staff is very apparent. They love where they work!!! Next time I’m home I will certainly be back. This place is one of a kind!

Came home and went to the opening night. Needless to say I had a blast and I was very impressed. I have lived in Scottsdale & Southern California & this club definitely competes with the best in both. Will definitely come back here when I am in town. Which is saying a lot because I got over club congress and 4^th. Definitely trumps both.

Awesome club environment and music. The textured walls reflect the lights that fluctuate with the DJ. The liquid filled bar tops and a few walls add a unique element to the experience. This place is like nothing else in Tucson. Excited to see it here!
