This trail is pretty flat, and you get to pass by an old stone house that mysteriously sits in silence — -secluded and surrounded by the beauty of the dessert. It takes about 10 minutes from town to get here. Head west on Speedway Blvd, and turn south onto Camino de Oeste. Take the dirt road all the way until it ends in a parking lot. The trail follows a wash, and continues to criss-cross the wash and goes along it. If you end up getting lost, you can look for the wash to regain your bearings. Be sure to start hiking out of here, towards the parking lot before the sun goes down, because you can easily get caught in the dark. You can definitely feel the temperature change when the sun goes behind the mountains. Oh, and I definitely lost cell phone reception during the hike. Be sure to bring plenty of water, comfy hiking shoes and sunscreen. Enjoy!

One of my favorite Tucson trails! Ten minute drive in traffic from downtown and the thousands of saguaros are truly inspirational. (Too bad there’s no cell tower service so I can’t check in on Unilocal when I visit.)

I love to hike and am surprised that no one has reviewed the David YetmanTrail. Soif you want a decent hike check this one out. Take Speedway out west as if you were going to the Sonora Desert Museum and you will see the trailhead on your left. It is quite beautiful scene driving to the David Yetman Trail. I had been recommended to go hiking here for quite a few months now. However, keep in mind that this trail has a logic loose rocks which makes from some rough footing. Also when you get going into the trail the scenic views are okay but not top notch. It was a lovely hike and I am glad we came here a few days ago. I look forward to going to it again. There is a map at the beginning and I recommend the website to help plan out your hike. I will definitely come again! However I still think Ventana is my go to hike. Enjoy!
