Ordered sub. Took a while as they were out of the meat I ordered. To be fair, they called me but I was already up that without my phone. Good Ingredients but the sub meat, and veges were warm. Warm lettuce and meats are not what I bargained for. Hence 2 stars. Also they had very few customers and at least 6 people working the line… Sloooooow

This is a real deal butcher indeed. Go there for the meat, for sure. Quality is definitely high and priced right. Some might call it «spendy», but you’re paying for good quality and personalized service. I can’t speak to the awesomeness of the so-called Ugly Steak, as I have yet to try those, but the choice filet is certainly delicious. This isn’t just a meat market either, they’ve got fish and poultry in addition to the«exotic» meat section. Did I mention there’s a deli too? This place gets busy, so you can order a sammie while you’re waiting for your order to get prepped and packaged.

Went there today .I would of given them 5 stars but none of the service guys were wearing gloves, but grabbed all that great meat with their bare hands. My wife kinda freaked, but I being of somewhat of a different sort, really don’t care, hell I’m throwing it on a blazingly hot grill. However I heard some of the other customers complain, so do yourself a favor get some plastics and keep them on… As a side note they have the best herring and sour cream… absolutely incredible

Y’all get pretty excited about flap meat(ugly steaks). At least $ 2/lb higher than anywhere else I’ve seen flap meat for sale. Not sure why. I don’t see what all the fuss is about. I didn’t think the meat looked all that fresh, and when I got home, it sure didn’t smell all that fresh, especially the Sheboygan brats. Both meat orders were 30−40% more than the requested weight. Weight isn’t on the package, so if you’re not watching the scale, you don’t know how much you got until you’ve already paid, so that’s a little sketchy. Brats were so full of fat they collapsed on themselves with just pan frying. Poaching in beer, butter and onions didn’t help. Dry, mealy and full of air pockets. I’m originally from northern WI and these aren’t even close to to Usinger’s or Klement’s and are light years away from the holy grail of brat goodness, Louie’s Finer Meats in Cumberland, WI. Ugly steaks were pretty good, but not worth the price premium over the same flap meat at Costco. Counter service was fast and friendly though. I got a roast beef sandwich that was pretty good. Not overly generous on the meat portion, though. I guess if I was paying for it by the pound, it would have been as big as my head. A long way to drive for OK meat that’s danged pricey. I did have to cook all the meat the day I bought it; it was only a 12 – 18 hours from going off and I didn’t want to risk it. Can’t recommend the brats at all. But if you want Camel Burgers, this is your spot!

The ugly steaks might be the best steak I have ever had and I’ve ate quite a bit. Good people, reasonable prices. Potatoes are awesome also.

This place rocks! My little burger joint had its slicer go down and with a few days to get it fixed, I had asked the crew at Dickman’s to slice my cheese for my burgers. They helped me out, sliced 3 blocks of cheese and kept me in business on a busy Saturday! Customer service is top notch as I watched the employees buzz around and satisfy all of their needs. Shop local… this place deserves it because they are dedicated to giving the community great service. THANKS!

I bought the a couple of ugly steaks … $ 14.29 for 2 … rather spendy. They are funky but cook up and are easy to eat. Cut very easily. I do think they are better than one solid chunk of meat. The Staff is wonderful. Super friendly and super fun. This is a meat market meets Huge deli. Some very different food choices. I can see planning a party and buying a range of meat to grill in a taste testing feast. Cool place.

Came here literally only because I was persuaded by the Unilocal reviews. I had no real reason to go to a meat market. But I did on search for some ground beef, given the rave reviews that it was«the best beef ever.» Let me tell you something… BESTBEEFEVER!!! I’m not even kidding! Bought 10 lbs for such a great price I was blown away. Made a 2-lb. meatloaf the first night and my hubs almost fell out of his chair at the first bite. Didn’t believe me that it wasn’t a new recipe. Same old recipe I’ve been making for the entire 10 years of our relationship, hubs. Only difference = THEMEAT! This beef is the real deal, folks! I mean, I wish I could say more but that’s the only food item I’d purchased that day. The store is a little small, but I liked that they also had a deli and some other food options, a little shop area with prepared foods then, of course, meal galore! Next time I’ll take hubs with me so we can pick out something a little more exotic. But seriously and for real… try the beef!

Searched for a full year for a great steak then someone told me to try Dickman’s ‘ugly steak’. Finally, my search is over!

The quality of the products they sell is definitely 5-star. This is a real full-service butcher, so if you don’t see what you need in the case, odds are they can cut it for you. I appreciate that they are a Traeger dealer. It’s good to know that if something fails(which it never has on my Traeger), I’m just a few blocks away from the parts to fix it. Good source of mesquite hardwood charcoal too.

I love this place! I work in the same plaza and we always come here for sandwiches. They’re always very quick, super friendly, and the sandwiches never disappoint. They are always very busy too, which speaks a lot about how great their food is. My family also enjoys their ugly steaks. Relatively cheap sandwiches for the meat and cheese quality. Thanks guys!

To be honest… this place has a small selection of good meats compared to most other meat shops around town… all of their«prime» meats did not look that great… the T-bones had the filet part of it removed… they only had 1 kind of bratwurst… and a few sausages… the freezer section was pretty good but I don’t like buying already frozen meat… they had sandwhiches available but it was boars head which can be bought at numerous places around town… all in all this place as nothing really that sets it apart from the rest… if your really looking for Prime meats I would suggest AJ’s fine foods… They are a little expensive but that’s what you should expect when getting prime meats…

This place is wonderful! They made me some chicken breakfast sausage last week. It was very tasty and I will be back to order more in the future. All of the staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a terrific frozen meat case with every kind of game and meat you can imagine. My husband and I will be returning when we are looking for something exotic. They offer two steaks and two twice baked potatoes for $ 15; what a deal! That is on our to-do list. They make sandwiches too. At some point we will have to try their Ruben. We have heard good things about their sandwiches.

This review is for their hamburger – yes their hamburger. WHICHISTHEBESTHAMBURGER I’VEEVERHADINMYLIFE!!! Well, let’s add a few more exclamation points for more emphasis: !!! I will update my review when I try out their other items, maybe even their sandwiches. So my wife’s friend told us about this hamburger, which you have to buy at least 10 lbs. frozen, which they break up into 1 lbs. packages. It runs $ 2.99/lbs. Now when you look at hamburger sales at your favorite grocer or even what it costs at Sam’s Club or Costco, you know this is priced competitively. But none – and I mean NONE – of the aforementioned grocers’ hamburger is even in the same class as this meat. Their hamburger is made from sirloin chuck and steak ends. This 75−80% lean ground beef is the most tender, juiciest, and flavorful ground beef I have ever sunk my teeth into. It was so good, I had grilled burgers four nights in a row! And looked forward to it every time. And was never disappointed ever. There was not one speck of chewy gristle in any bite. The meat is so tender. You want a real«steak burger?» Make a burger out of this meat. I never need to go to any of my favorite burger places in Tucson ever again. Seriously. My grilled burgers were at least as good, if not better than, the likes of Zinburger, Smashburger, etc. etc. This is the same meat that Sullivan’s Eatery and Creamery uses for their famed hamburgers. You want a great burger? Start with great ground beef. There’s no other way around it. Nice butcher shop with small seating for their deli. I’m a fan.

The ugly steaks are out of this world! We grill ours with a little salt and pepper and top them with chimichurri. Phenomenal! If you like to indulge occasionally, try the twice baked potatoes! Will definitely always come to this shop for our steaks:)

While visiting friends and relatives in the area, we were all invited to an outdoor barbecue. On the way, our friends stopped at Dickman’s to buy a few of their their well known«ugly steaks,» while we picked up other items at another store. We realized that we were short on a few barbecue essentials and went back to Dickman’s to see if they had corn on the cob and other vegetables suitable for grilling. If I recall correctly, it was Dave who helped us out. He was friendly, helpful, and made us feel as if we were royalty. He asked us if there was anything specific we were looking for, and we mentioned that that we were looking for corn on the cob for the barbecue. As it turns out, Dickman’s also carries a full line of perfectly fresh organic produce. Dave recommended their sweet corn on the cob for only 99¢ an ear. We also purchased tomatoes, squash, zucchini bell peppers and onions. they also had fresh jumbo shrimp. Thanks to Dickman’s, I had one of the best barbecued meals I have ever had, and a steak that would give most steakhouses in NYC a run for their money.
