Love it! For authentic Chinese food, This is the place. They have great service.(I don’t do the buffet.) I just order from the Chinese menu. The food is fresh, delicious, dine in or take out. The staff is friendly, they will answer your questions and make recommendations. My favorite. Five plus stars! I love the XO fried rice and the Typhoon green beans with shrimp cakes. Yummy.

I had been here for lunch a few years ago and remembered it a little better than it was. The place was pretty empty and smelled strange. I did enjoyed the egg drop soup but the entrees in the buffet were mostly greasy, unidentifiable, and not what I remember. The waitress was nice and attentive. I would not recommend coming here.

Excellent Chinese food. The duck is superb. The lettuce wraps delicious. Eggplant stuffed with shrimp, yum. Chinese bbq rib appetizers, so good. Lots of seating, ample parking, just off the I-10 at St. Mary’s, close to the U of A campus. Bear Down Wildcats!

Worst food ever !! On my first visit I ended up near the lunch time buffet, they don’t refill and what was left was cold and the server never checked on me. The second visit was right when they first open. Once again the food was cold and once again the server never checked on us. We had to get her attention several times to get our drinks refilled. Will not go back

Everything was so good. Fresh, hot and very quick. I enjoyed everything! The walnut shrimp was amazing. I’ll definitely be back. We live on the far East side of Tucson, but Dragon View was worth the trip. Thank you!

While home in Tucson, I decided to take my mother to dinner. We decided on Chinese. I was happy to see Dragon’s View was still around. Let me put it this way. The first time I ate here, was years before social media. I’ve always spoken highly of this restaurant because it wasn’t the typical over-warmed buffet. It’s still a sit down restaurant but they’ve added a small buffet. And in my opinion, you can always tell the quality of any particular restaurant based on the clientele. My mother and I were the only gringos as far as we could see. So far so good. It was a busy night. The parking lot was full and there were a few very large parties. However we were seated right away. But it took a long time to get our beverages, as it did at another table seated after us. We were patient and enjoyed our conversation in the meanwhile. The most glaring flaw in the service, was our waitresses’ inability to describe the Satay sauce on one of the entrees we were considering. Another person came along and answered our questions. But again, the wait for the entrees was long. The bottom line is this. Dragon’s View isn’t as classy as it use to be. It’s still very clean and well maintained. And once you get your food, it is excellent. The service just needs some improvement.

Buffet is a good value, but dinner on a Sunday was under staffed. Some of the dishes were good and others were tasteless. Ordered seafood called 3 delights and was not worth the 18 bucks. Best dish was a curry noodle. Waitress also forgot to bring request for chili in oil. Also we had a party of 7 and half of the orders were brought out 15min after the first plates arrived. I think they need to work on the staff issues. Will only do lunch buffet for now on.

A few months ago I’d have given their duck fried rice a 5 star rating. Today, it made me sick! When they are good, they are very very good, and when they are bad… So, I’ve had the fried rice as an entrée 5 times. Twice it was phenomenally good. Really memorable! Then twice it was mediocre. And today… Well, it was horrid. I threw it away. I wonder if there’s one great cook in the kitchen sometimes, and a not so great one other days. I wish I could know in Advance. The problem is, you take your chances here. I won’t be taking many more chances after today.

The food was horrid not to mention the food took so long it’s no wonder the wontons tasted stale. The service was friendly but so slow it still couldn’t make up for the time and flavor. The worst part was having to pay nearly $ 50 after waiting that long. It was nearly an hours wait from ordering to service. Never again.

I wrote this review for the meal with my friends on the last day of 2013 because the waitress even asked my friend for more tips and her words were so rude which almost made her cried. Moreover their service was just so-so. I cant even hold my anger right now. So I will never and ever go to there even for a big free meal. I would also not recommend you guys to be humiliated right in front of those old women.

This was the place to go for Chinese dinner banquets and parties for a long time. These days, the restaurant requires some renovation and afraid to mention some help training their servers to be a bit more friendly. Otherwise, some of the dishes are superb and simply you can’t get such good authentic Hong Kong style Chinese food in Tucson like here.

After my sister’s graduation from PMI, we swung by what has to be my favorite Chinese restaurant in Tucson. There were 6 of us, and we had outstanding service from the servers at Dragon’s View. Everyone ordered something a little bit different and we loved the food, as always. The salty calamari is phenomenal! I know this is an appetizer, but I think I could eat this by itself! Same can be said for the dragon puffs(crab puffs) — they were to die for. I ordered the sesame chicken as it was delicious. The chicken was so juicy and fresh, yum! Our table also had the general tso chicken, everyone shared and it was great, too. There were two vegetarians with us – they have a wonderful vegetarian friendly page in the menu that hit the spot for them. My father ordered the Phoenix and really liked it. He said the eatable bowl was probably something you shouldn’t eat(a bit hard) but the display when the food came out was great. Overall, we loved the experience! Can’t wait to come back here again.

My husband and I were downtown to attend a wedding. It was cold and the rain had hit, so we thought of a place to eat. Luckily, he remembered this restaurant from when he was a little boy and lived on the east side. Neither of us were disappointed. We walked in and were the only white couple in the house, which is a sign of great authentic food. I was not feeling particularly daring, but was seriously considering ordering one of the three duck dishes. I ended up choosing chicken ho fun. I have had beef ho fun before, but had not had ho fun as nicely as was served here. My husband ordered egg foo yong, a childhood favorite. While it was different from the foo yong he normally eats, he also loved it. The next time we are on this side of town, I have a feeling that we will be coming here. It is a great way to warm up on a stormy night.

The food is good, especially when you are hungry. But won’t come here to get everything compare to authentic Chinese cuisine. Their foods are fresh and cooked decently. The location is kinda twisted.

My minced duck lettuce wraps were pretty good. My bbq pork fried rice and shrimp lo mein lacked flavor. They didn’t taste bad but they didn’t really taste like much at all. The pork in my fried rice didn’t taste bbq at all. The lo mein didn’t have that sear on the noodles or slight smokey flavor that good lo mein get from hitting a super hot wok. The menu did have some dishes listed on it that sound good enough for me to go back and give them another shot though.

We went here for dinner the other night and were very surprised with great food. We arrived early boy 4:30 and I think we caught them off guard. The service was a bit slow but the food made up for it. We will defiantly go back. Next time We will try their Lunch Buffet.

Great food, one of the best in Tucson! BUT I’m talking about traditional Cantonese Cuisine. I really don’t know anything about orange chicken, sesame chicken or sweet & sour whatever. I don’t eat those Americanized garbage.

This place is tasty! We came for dinner, and we ordered a nice selection of entrees that we all shared. Nothing was OMG delicious, but nothing was bad either. Everything was good. I hear that the menu that’s in Chinese has some amazing items… From looking around the room at what was on the tables of people speaking Chinese, I would say that this is more than a rumor. I plan on going when it’s a bit slower to get my hands on some of these other dishes. I have heard some mixed reviews on the lunch buffet, but overall I hear very good things. I am totally going again.

Horrible. Disgusting. Disappointment. Borderline Life Scarring. We had 3 people this night(2 Asians and 1 Mexican)-I’m only mentioning our ethnicity because it help sets the tone for when we were seated. They have multiple flat screen TVs hanging from the ceiling. Pretty cool right?! Except that if you are seating by the epileptic inducing TV that flickers every half second. They have a great choice of music too! I’m use to hearing some old school Chinese music while dining at Chinese Restaurants, maybe even some classical music. Dragon’s View likes to put a twist on their environment. If the flickering TV doesn’t do it for you, they have the Friday the 13th theme song going on, African music, and… wait for it… the X-Files them song playing. I was sure that Scully and Mulder were going to come in and start looking for Aliens. Arrived at 6:15pm. Promptly seated by the host. There were 2 other tables when we arrived. The gentleman sat us at a table that was preset for 2 people. He brought a chair over from the adjacent table. The table we were sat at had 2 napkins and 2 forks. The host proceeds to remove 1 of the forks and leaves the napkin behind. Goes to retrieve more silverware. Brings over 1 more napkin and 2 pairs of chopsticks, while leaving the original fork on the table. –Great assumption that the 2 Asians would prefer to use a chopstick over a fork. They had a army of dining menus, but decided to bring over 2 «American» menus and 1 «Chinese» menu. **BEFORE** you start thinking I’m making up my own terminology for this review, I AMNOT! This is how the host referred to the menus. He apologized for giving us a «Chinese» menu and brought over another«American» menu. My friend wanted Iced Green Tea. He received a water down fountain green tea drink. This is when you know that you picked out a great dining establishment. Calamari: Under-cooked and chewy.(Probably the most appetizing dish) Combination Cantonese Chow Mein — The noodles were a little thicker than what I would prefer. Overloaded with veggies. Had probably 3 pieces of shrimp(which were overcooked), the tail-ends of BBQPK which still had a good amount of fat on it. Pork Ribs– Over-seasoned and tough. The meat was probably frozen and then reheated to order. VERYCHEWY! If I knew I had to chew this much, I would’ve brought my blender to break it down. Beef in spicy boiled water– This was unique. The soup that the beef was brought out in was peculiar. Very random veggies mixed in. I feel like, they just put in leftover veggies from the bins they have in the back to make the dish look fuller. The meat was bland. There is a unique flavor to the dish. Not pleasant. It was our waitress’ first day. She was delightful. Nothing wrong with her service. I wish I could forget this experience. I just wanted to leave. I guess there is a reason why this Restaurant is hidden from public view. Give it a shot if you think you’ll have a better experience. But I highly recommend taking your business else where.

Whoever took the glamor food shots on their website, I congratulate you! I’d wanted to visit this restaurant for years. But I must say, my experience was less than memorable. I went for lunch and found the place full of families and business meetings. Nice local feel. I appreciated that. After I was told to take a seat, any seat, I found a spot and took a look at the bar. Everything on the two small stations and one large station looked fresh enough. I went for the rice first. I was surprised that it was left open and exposed, which would surely dry out the rice. It did. I took small, one to two bite samples of many things: the bean sprouts, the teriyaki chicken, the broccoli(leaving behind the chicken), a piece of a sushi roll, the batter-less shrimp, the baked salmon, the lo mein, the spicy chicken and a piece of pork. In the end, I was so glad I took one bite of everything because it would have been a waste otherwise. I was quite fond of the bean sprouts and the broccoli. But I found that everything else was either over cooked, too-too sweet or just not fresh at all. The piece of sushi hurt my heart. Literally hurt my heart when I bit into it. It was flavorless and the rice was beginning to harden. The service is nice, and this place fills out, but I wasn’t impressed with the quality. Good quantity and excellent selection, but the quality was off.
