The place I normally get my hair done was booked thru Christmas, but I was in dire need of a haircut, so I conducted a thorough Unilocal search and decided upon Elements, and I am so glad I did! Upon sitting down at Sonya’s station, she asked if I wanted anything to drink, to which I was about to respond no — until she said moscato… umm heck YES! I was planning on getting about 4 inches cut off(cue the anxiety attack) so any bit of help easing my nerves, I needed! She colored my hair, I sat under the dryer, then she washed my hair and I also received a very relaxing head massage-after that, a glass of moscato, & talking to Sonya, I was a lot less nervous about my shorter ‘do. When all was said and done, I left loving my cut & highlights! And it’s been almost a week, and I’m STILL loving it. I will definitely be coming back here.

Looking for a new salon since I moved to Tucson, I thought I’d give Elements a try. Reviews were mixed, so I went in fingers crossed. I’m picky(aren’t we all?) so when Sonya asked what I wanted, I told her. She GOTIT! The cut and color are both perfect! I thought so when I walked out of the salon, and when I washed my hair the next day(moment of truth, right?). I styled it, and … still perfect! Happy dance, I will be calling back in 3 weeks to make my next appt. BTW, Laura at front desk was very nice on phone for same-day appt, and even nicer in person. 4 stars bcuz I need to try other services for comprehensive rating.

I love my hair! Its shiny and edgy and cute and I look amazing. I’m addicted to getting my hair cut and styled now. I’ve been there twice in the past 2 months. I especially like Julie. She’s a hair genius. Book an appointment with her and mention that I sent you. They have nails and massages and probably botox there too, but I only know about the hair styling. which I love.

I bought a groupon for here and my massage and blow out were both very awesome. The massage was so relaxing(even though they were renovating and I could hear the construction). That says a lot about the massage! Also, they did a very good job on my blow out. Overall, I liked it but I gave it 4 stars because I was in during a renovation and that wasn’t ideal.

I had a great experience at Elements! There are not a lot of places that I can go in Tucson to get my hair done. Let’s face it, most white people do not know how to do black hair. It’s a fact, I’m ok with it, I do mine myself. But with the advent of keratin, Brazilian blowouts etc I figured I’d give a Tucson salon another chance. I did the Living Social deal for their keratin treatment and I gotta tell ya, I frigging loved it. I was not overwhelmed by the lobby, I didn’t think it was extraordinarily beautiful or extravagant but I’m kind of fancy chick so it takes a lot to impress me… I was impressed with my stylist. He was SUPER nice, knew what he was doing and assured me that my hair was not going to fall out in clumps as a result of his negligence. I was not sure about that last part once the fumes hit me from the keratin treatment but by then the glass of wine that I was offered there started to hit me and I was like, whatever, it’s all good!!! I honestly think I may have said that out loud, several times… Anyhoo, other than my stylist not getting my hair as 100% straight as I wanted it, he was afraid to burn me, he did a good job. I wasn’t super pleased when Ieft there. Ok, I was freakng out when I left there. I thought that my hair had set and I would’t get it as straight as I wanted and I’d just blown money that could have been spent on shes. But when I got home, flat ironed the crap out of my hair and BLADOW-amazing luxurious locks. Next time I will let Anthony know, sometimes being beautiful is gonna have to hurt a little and yes, there will be a next time. I can totally see myself going back and continuing the keratin treatments. It is day 5 and I absolutely love my hair. It hasn’t looked this healthy and shiny in years! Thank you Elements Salon & Spas.

I was so excited to get a Living Social deal for a massage here only to be completely let down by the customer service. I had to reschedule due to an emergency and since it was less than 24 hrs, they redeemed my voucher. Umm, wtf? Completely rude when I called and explained the situation, as well.

Saved my LIFE! Well .sort of. I was visiting from out of town and got my hair completely entangled in a cheap round brush that I was using for the first time. After panicking and working on it to no avail, I thought it was going to have to be cut out. I called and was so grateful that a stylist answered who knew what to do! I drove over there with the brush attached to the top of my head, and he picked it out and made me feel less idiotic about the whole thing, and didn’t even charge me!(I left a tip. .I would have paid whatever he asked at that point!). I can’t thank him enough!

I have a small home business and not a lot of money, so when I saw the Groupon offer for Elements Salon, I was really happy — especially since I live nearby. The Groupon was for three services. I chose highlights, haircut and a massage. I went in on one day for my highlights and haircut and scheduled the massage for two days later. My stylist was Alexis. Now, I’ve been getting my hair highlighted every few months for many years, and had just a little growth. All she had to do was match the color and get rid of the roots. She blew through the foils quickly; too quickly I thought. Then the haircut. I had a lot of hair cut off and that part was okay; she styled it for me and I left, leaving her a $ 15 tip. When I got home, though, and really looked at my hair in my mirror, I saw that the highlights started ½ to ¾″ away from my scalp, showing a LOT of the darker roots, and the highlights were really wide. It looked awful, not at all natural. I also noticed that the sides and back of my hair had a strong orange tint that I hadn’t seen at the salon. My husband noticed it too, and asked me why I’d changed my color to red! I called that same night and left a message saying that I wasn’t happy with the highlights, and Alexis called me back the next day. She said that it would be easy to fix. I had scheduled my massage for the following day, and she said that she’d fix the color right after that. When I came in for my appointment, Alexis was sitting at the desk and barely acknowledged me. I went for my massage and I have to say… it was wonderful. I was all relaxed for my hair-fix, and Alexis took me right back. She told me that she was sorry I had to come back, it did look«brassy,» and it was because of the bleach she used. She told me that she had used a different bleach on all of her clients that day and«noticed that something was going on» as the day progressed and her other clients had the same result. I also asked her if she could get the highlights closer to the scalp so the darker roots wouldn’t show so much, and she said that was also because of the bleach she’d used, that her normal bleach«moved» closer to the scalp and took care of that. I asked her if she was using the«good» bleach this time, and she said yes. She flew through the foils again, going super-quickly, and after I was washed, she asked what I thought. I really couldn’t tell because my hair was sopping wet, and by that time she was being really impatient and asking people loudly to tell her next client that she’d be «another ten minutes.» She asked if I wanted product in my hair, I said I didn’t need it. She asked if I wanted her to style my hair, and I said I didn’t want to keep her any longer — it was obvious I was being shown the door. Again she asked me if I was happy, and I said, «I think the color looks better but I still have ½″ of roots showing.» Her response was that if I wanted it to look natural, she’d have to” weave every strand and the Groupon didn’t cover that.” Hmmm… I wish I’d been told that beforehand. I wouldn’t have risked getting the color done at that time and would have chosen a facial or pedicure instead. Like I said, I’ve been getting my hair highlighted for years. I have NEVER had to return for a fix, or had as amateurish a result as this. So… now I get to go to a skilled colorist elsewhere who can fix this mess, to the tune of about $ 95. When it comes to your hair, DON’T go to Elements. You might consider it if you want a massage. I loved my massage, and that is the only positive thing I can say about it.

I was so excited to go to Elements Salon because of the great reviews I read online. Unfortunately after actually going there I will never refer anyone or return to Elements Salon. If you are looking for a good, quality hair stylist who knows what they are doing — don’t go here! The highlights were nothing like I asked for(I even showed her pictures of what I wanted) and the highlights are about ½ in to an inch AWAY from my roots. It looks like my hair has grown out(after 1 day?) and I have had multiple people ask me why my hair looks this way. Also my forehead had hair dye all over it. It took almost a full week for it to completely go away and I had to style my hair completely different just to cover most of it. It almost looked like it had been finger painted on. And yet the manager stands by her«trained» stylist… really? I didn’t know«trained» stylists got hair dye all over their customers head. During the appointment the stylist was telling me about previous«crazy» customers she had and was cursing using the F word quite a bit. I’m sorry, but how professional is that? I’m not against colorful language, but in a place of business I don’t think it has any place. I called to speak with a manager a few hours after I left the salon. I didn’t hear back from her for a few days and at that point I was out of town.(The reason for getting my hair done — I was attending a wedding.) The voicemail that I received from the manager was very long and drawn out. It was filled with«ums» throughout and it ran about 4 – 5 minutes if not longer. Not very professional. Without ever talking to me the manager explained things that I already knew about my hair to me, as if I was a child. She has no clue what the real issue is and is only going off of what the stylist told her.(Which isn’t true because the stylist never even understood what was going on!) I was unable to call the manager back until a few days later, and upon calling back and speaking to the receptionist I was told to leave a message. That was on 08⁄11. I have yet to hear back from her. In the voicemail I was offered a «great discount» if I returned to get my hair done again. I’d much prefer them to fix my hair for free, as a good salon should. At this point though, I doubt I’d even return for that. Very unfortunate.

I went in to Elements with a Groupon — one of the best choices I have made! I had Alexis do my hair, she did a cut, highlights and lowlights. They are very nice there, Alexis is amazing! She did the best color and cut I have ever had, to the point where people will stop me and ask who did my hair. My mom went in and had a massage and Nicole did her color, again perfect results. I am going back as a paying customer in a few weeks and would highly recommend this Salon as a great place to go!

Not to be confused with the«Elements in Balance» Salon on North 4th Avenue, this Elements is on the other side of the freeway on West Grant Rd. I was one of the lucky few to score a great Groupon to check out this place. I had a wonderful facial which lasted an hour… and she used a local organic skincare line for the entire process. I also had a massage with Michelle«Mochi» and consider it HUGE praise to say it is one of the best massages I’ve ever received in my entire life. If you are in need of serious relaxation then pay her a visit. She only does massages a few times a week and only a few massages in the day, in order to give the best ones at all times. Seriously top notch and her massages alone are worth the drive.
