This is NOT the quality I expect from a Marriott hotel. My husband and I have been making repetitive trips to Tucson over the past few months and as such have stayed in a variety of hotels in the area, ranging from Best Western and up. This is, by far, THEWORST hotel we have stayed at yet. The funny thing is that my husband booked it to redeem himself for booking us at a Best Western last weekend. That Best Western is a 5 star hotel compared to this. The décor in this place is atrocious. It seriously looks like the 70’s threw up. Red carpets, each wall in the room is a different mismatched color, and then a random teal chair. Seriously, their designer epically failed their color theory class. Our bathroom smells like urine, the door frame is half eaten by rust, and the fixtures are right out the 70’s The breakfast is disgusting. I don’t want my eggs shaped like a McDonald’s style patty, thank you very much, and I’d appreciate more than eggs and bacon for the hot plate options. You have two juice options, orange and apple, and one option for tea, black(seriously, how hard is it to order even ONE option of herb tea??). The coffee appeared like watered down yuck. The cut fruit was very obviously not fresh. We scheduled two nights, but we’re checking out as I finish this review. No way are we staying another night. Seriously, this place should be a motel 6, NOT a Marriott.

Well, everyone is definitely correct on this one. For starters, assuming you are driving through and just need a place to crash, that is inexpensive and has a breakfast, than this place fits the bill. However, definitely not a Marriott standards type of place. Small, musty and a little suspect on the cleanliness. I wouldn’t stay with my family for certain. But, again, for 7500 Marriott points I was able to get some shut eye.

As a Marriott Rewards member for many years this was NOT what we were expecting. This seemed like an old La Quinta trying to be turned into a Marriott. Would not recommend this hotel.

I really wish that we would have read the reviews on here before booking this hotel. We just booked through Travelocity and my husband thought fairfield was supposed to be a nice hotel! Well that is not the case. We got here 4 hours after booking and paying for the hotel online. The guy at the desk went to charge us again and my husband said he already paid. So the guy just stood there tapping on a key board then just looking around the room, while my husband, myself, my teenage sister, and our 17 month old son sat in the waiting area at midnight. He let us just sit there for a good 20 plus minutes, while he didn’t really do anything. I understand technical malfunctions, if that were the problem fine, but the guy just stood there looking around rather than trying to solve the problem. I had walked in after their initial conversation and I honestly thought they were waiting for something to load on the guys computer the way he was looking around. Finally it got resolved and we got our keys. I asked for a crib, we have done this at multiple hotels now and always get simular cribs with fresh linens to put on the crib. I was given a dirty very well used pack n play. There is no way my son is sleeping in that thing, he will sleep in a bed tonight. Then we finally get up to our room, it is June and the ac had not been turned on. The room was so hot, just want you want to walk into when all you want to do is crash into bed. Moving around the room found multiple cleanliness factors we weren’t happy with. Mainly stains on the duvet cover and dirty bathroom, you know the two things you need a hotel for. So after 12 hours of driving we were not welcomed to a hotel we were happy with. We will not be using fairfield in the future. One bad visit gives them all a bad name in my book. I hate giving bad reviews and if it was just one or two of these things I would ignore it. But we got to this hotel less than an hour and a half ago and I’ve been continually disappointed!

Having stayed at many Fairfields over the years, this one is definitely one of the oldest ones I’ve stayed in. It desperately needs an upgrade to look like the rest of the chain. Everything about this particular one seems very old. Service was good, though, and I got an okay night’s sleep. At least the room was clean!

Agree with Jeff P. This is not to Marriott standards. Could have easily stayed at Red Roof next door or any number of less expensive options right nearby. We chose this because we are loyal to Marriott brand and because of proximity to I-10 passing thru Tucson on a trip west. Lots of sketchy folks wandering around the streets too. Should have checked Unilocal before booking.

This is not what a Marriott suppose to be. Maybe a Motel 6, but not a Marriott. Old ran down room décor, soft beds and the room AC didn’t work. I had to have housekeeping change the sheets because they were stained and gross! This Fairfield Inn needs a lot of TLC to bring it up to a Marriott standard.

It was 95 degrees outside and about the same in the room since this hotel keeps the air off in all rooms. I checked back out and drove 2 blocks to the Holiday Inn that had normal air running in all rooms

Very clean! Stopped in after a long day of driving while traveling cross country. Everything was great! Way better than one of the neighboring hotels we originally attempted to stay at.

Not up to usual standards for a Marriott property. Facility is older but updated with normal Faifield furnishings. In general the room and building were rather tired. Ceiling in the bathroom had been patched(kind of) but the paint didn’t match, leaving it two toned. The window blind had holes. The exercise facility was a treadmill, an elliptical and 2 ten pound dumb bells. No need to set your alarm, the 6 am train whistle will get you up in plenty of time. The Fairfield by the airport is a better choice
