I give 2 stars not because of the Management Company HSL, it’s because of our Manager Laurie at Sycamore Creek. HSL gets ZERO Stars. Lori Irwin has done her best to make my stay here, almost six years awesome, she is great asset to the company and the company is very lucky to have her. Unfortunately HSL Management only worries about collecting money and have high occupancy and that’s horrible. The owner claims he is family oriented but yet I would say over 90% of the employees have never met Mr. Huberto Lopez. Owners need to remember, you can’t run a great business if you don’t have people to work for you and word of mouth goes a long way, way more than your paying for advertising. Good people should be rewarded and not fired!

This is by far the worst company to rent from. Not only does the entire staff — all the way to the top supervisors in the corporate office, lack any kinda of communication skills, but the customer service is horrible. I rented an apartment from the Scottsdale Carbillo complex and it was by far the worst mistake I’ve made for housing decisions. I went off of cost and location and learned my lesson. I had continuous problems while there, including parking, air conditioning breaking, mold in both bathrooms, and a property manager who can’t manage to return a single phone call. No one in the office knows how to take a message and communicate anything, and on top of that every single employee is unprofessional and rude beyond belief! After moving out, I am being charged inaccurate fines due to false documentation and/or an error in the date I moved out. I tried contacting the corporate office several times to get assistance on all of the above issues without any responses, phone calls, or care. There’s a reason why I am now paying the $ 1600 fee to break the lease ! If that doesn’t tell you how horrible this place is(that someone would rather pay that amount of $ then deal with the issues) I’m not sure what will! Stay far far away from this company!!!

I’ve lived at Ridgepointe 3 years and it has sucked the whole time. The latest incident: we paid our rent for March 2012 three months in advance via cashier’s check. We received an eviction notice on our door today because our March rent«wasn’t paid.» They actually just forgot to cash our check… Being threatened with legal action and imminent eviction because Bertha the Property Manager can’t do her job correctly isn’t the right way to do business. Even worse, neither Ridgepointe nor HSL will offer anything to remedy their egregious mistake. Also, someone got murdered with a machete last summer in the complex. And my car was broken into on Christmas and surprise surprise Ridgepointe couldn’t care less. Scary neighborhood, paper thin walls, don’t care at all about tenants, and best of all– pay your rent early then be threatened with eviction! Don’t move to HSL Properties, period.
