Hair Architects

Ok, so this is for my partner. She is not a Unilocaler, I know… looser ;), anyway I am taking it upon myself to write a review on her behalf, based on her experience.
First off, we went to another place called split endz, I am not going to call out the stylist because she cut my hair and did fantastic. Maybe color isn’t her thing?! Because my partner got her hair cut too, and that was super cool, but the color is a whole other story. It was wretched! My partner is full grey and the stylist suggested some black low lights. Well holy crap was it awful! Like she took a magic marker and just did blotches on her hair in jet black. Terrible!
This is where Santiago at hair architects comes to play. He is a hair Doctor and color expert. Let’s just say he’s a doctor of hair fabulousness! He looked at my partners wretched hair job and knew exactly what he needed to do to make her hair great again! He made all that black, blotchy nastiness disappear and she came out looking like 10 million bucks!
Let’s just say yesterday my partner was in tears and today she has a mega watt smile!
I highly recommend Santiago based on the expert, save the day job he did on my partners hair. He was life saver all the way around!

I visited today for my first time. I can see why Jon was voted the BEST SALON in Tucson, AZ. Two years in a row. NOTHING BUT AWESOME, AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!! Jon the owner did my hair he is a VERY KIND, AND A WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE!!! My hair was so damaged and a mess from a another Salon, I walked out of there with a brand new style, color and my hair was shiny. This was the BEST EXPERIENCE EVER IN A SALON!!! This person knows hair!!!

Highly recommend Hair Architects to anyone looking for a great basic haircut. Friendly atmosphere and terrific haircut for the price. If you’re tired of getting the same old terrible haircut from someone who doesn’t listen very well, you should go visit Jon and the rest of the staff at Hair Architects. All the reviews on here are spot on!

My wife and I are here on business and desperately needed hair cuts and color. They took us in with an hour notice and turned us into beauties again. Our stylists were amazing! We will be back during our stay in Tucson! Thank you so very much!

Awesome awesome. I was a walk-​in, and they accepted me with grace and enthusiasm. Great haircut, cool people, and the owners dog was friendly but not overly friendly. Said hi and moved on. Would definitely go again.

Courtney at Hair Architects has been doing my hair for the past year and I have been very happy with it. I have blonde (dyed) hair and like to keep it bright and Courtney does a wonderful job each time and makes sure that I like it. She is very sweet and professional. The salon’s prices are very reasonable compared to other salons in the area. I highly recommend Courtney. You won’t be disappointed!

Upon walking in, I found the place to be very clean. Service was exceptional. the owner did an amazing job. He really knew what he was doing! For a great price, I got a speedy and professional haircut and color. I highly recommend this place to anyone. I love my new hair !

I just moved here from Southern California and I was freaking out about leaving my amazing Hairdresser.
I saw Ashley Ellis’s ad on Facebook and was instantly drawn to her. I talked to her, setup a consultation and was really nervous.
I was pleased with my consultation and setup an appointment.
I was really apprehensive because I had been seeing my Hairdresser in Cali for years, but Ashley made me feel at ease and she did her magic and I love my result.
I am a fiery redhead with an amazing cut and Ashley is my new Hairdresser. Official stamp of approval from this picky lady!
She is awesome with kids too!

After a couple of unfortunate experiences with another stylist in town, I decided to visit Jon after reading the reviews for this location and his former location in Portland. I have found him to be great. Pays attention to what you want and is great doing pixie cuts (I can’t speak to anything else).
One thing that is MAJORLY important to me is that my stylist remembers both who I am and who I’ve referred. One friend had a terrible customer service experience following a bad hair experience from a stylist and salon I was very loyal to– I don’t think it would have gone down that way if they actually kept track. This stylist also didn’t put two and two together that my husband was married to ME until his third or fourth visit. Really weird.
Jon remembers me and the things we talk about, and while I haven’t had the opportunity to refer friends yet (but strangers have asked about my hair!), I know he’ll know they’re my friends!
Another great thing about this place is that the price is right. I’ve got that short hair and it grows QUICKLY. It can really add up. It’s not luxury, but it’s a nice, clean, comfortable place. Making a new appointment right now, actually! :)

I used a Unilocal voucher for my first visit here, I figured I couldn’t go wrong with this deal. I am so glad I did! My hair is amazing! The owner, Jon, was my stylist and took the time to really evaluate my hair and needs. He then asked for my opinion too. He completely transformed my unhealthy bleached hair into fabulous warm tones and a fantastic cut. He listened to me when I told him I was a bit «hair style challenged» and gave me a cut and color that is easy to manage and won’t require a lot of maintenance. Jon was very personable and charming. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation. So nice to be treated with warmth and respect. This is my new forever salon. Oh… an added bonus… he offered me a glass of wine! What a relaxing experience! Still going and still loving the place! My cuts keep getting better and my 4 year old likes getting his cuts here, too.
And I just found out today that another stylist I liked from another place in town is now working here. Welcome Ruben! We’d stopped seeing him because where he was was so busy and there were delays and things were always a bit rushed (and it was a bit of a trek since the place was across town from our house). Plus, one time I’d tried to see him I was told by someone he was on vacation — and he was there when we showed up for an appt with someone else (could have been an oversight/​mistake, but I’ve always wondered and it didn’t make me anxious to return there, despite liking Ruben). Anyway, I’m happy to see that Ruben’s closer and joined Jon at his new place!

I recently moved to the area and hadn’t had a cut in a few months. I am very particular about who cuts my hair. My last stylist I had, I wasn’t too fond of because she didn’t listen to what I wanted. However, Jon did and does listen! I, honestly, am usually never happy at first glance with my hair cuts. I fell in love with my hair cut! I can’t wait to go back to Jon. Wonderful staff! Everyone is friendly. And the set-​up of the salon is amazing inside.

After reading the reviews today, I called to make an appointment. I was amazed to get an appointment the same day with Jon.
I showed up a little early & he was ready for me. I showed him a picture (the same one I have showed 5 other stylist here in Tucson)… I was totally amazed when I left with the color & cut I have been trying to get for about a year now.
When Ieft, I stopped by to see a friend… She has an appointment with Jon tomorrow!

I was in Tucson for the month and was in desperate need of a cut/​color, found this place on Unilocal,and I gotta say, John Rocks! My color is great, I tried some criss cross color hat thing that he recommended, I was a little weary, but probably one of the best colors I’ve had in my life. Seriously, I will definitely be driving from Phoenix to get my hair done here. Great value, too!

This salon is really, really good.
I needed to highlight my natural color, so I booked an appointment with Jon. He was so accommodating and got me in ASAP, which is always a plus!
As far as color goes, he definitely knows his stuff. He opted to use a highlighting cap in lieu of foils, and I really love the soft, polished look it gave me.
He used loreal products, and after a great cut and pristine blow-​out, my hair looks excellent.
Added plus, each stylist has his/​her own room. so you can have a private conversation and your taste of music playing.
I would definitely recommend Jon, this salon is really, really good!
