Nice«express lunch» deals and they do mean express. Our server was nice, it helps to know what you want right away(minimal think time), the food arrives quick, the plates are cleared just after your last bite. Good for workdays. I got the 10″ pizza and salad for $ 10.95, and you can choose any pizza and any salad on the menu, which is better than just plain cheese with a house salad. The caesar salad is a good-sized salad. The pizza itself is the classic wood-fired style. I’ve never really had a terrible pizza, the only downside to the chicken parm pizza is the amount of grease. The cheese and sauce were oily and the cook must have forgotten to remove the excess oil from the fried chicken. Would’ve been nice to have it accompanied with a stack of napkins. But taste-wise, a good pizza that wasn’t overcooked.

The place is too small. Had to sit outside … with advance reservations. Food was mediocre. Burgers ordered medium were dry and well done. Kids’ mac and cheese had little cheese and fairly tasteless. Service was good.

Recently opened(came here a week after they opened), so yes, I will pardon minor details and less than smooth transitions. They do have some great lunch specials but none of which our server had mentioned to us. We sat in the outdoor bar top and noticed the flip board after we had ordered. The service was mediocre and even after the bartender asked if it was our first time in didn’t help us much with the menu or suggestions — he should really give us a quick overview of the menu. I think he is also a manager and/or owner(trust me I know these things). We sat in front of what seems like a pickup and server station so we were able to see a lot of their operational aspects. The food was ok. Good for brunch. The best part was the sauce for the calamari. The calamari itself was bland but with the sauce, it was delicious.

Humble pie is a poor man’s Scordatos, except for the same price. The place seems like it would fit in more downtown, it is very loud and they pack you in like sardines. The chairs are uncomfortable and it is way too dark. The chop salad is flavorless and the only difference I can tell between the salami and the lettuce is by the texture. Their pasta is not homemade and their sauces taste canned. We ordered two different pizzas and both were flimsy even though I specifically asked for extra crispy. Both pies came with very little toppings and were limp when you picked them up. Final complaint, the crust was loaded with cornmeal on the bottom and that was what I tasted most.

Not impressed. Decided to give it a try and don’t think I will go back. We went at 3pm sat. There were a few tables empty. Ordered fries(which were good). A bottle of mascots for $ 22 which was worst I have had.(No by the glass on that). We then got their«special» pizza and a fig and prosciutto. Took about 45 mins to get pizza and the fig and prosciutto was not good. Prosciutto was like jerky on it and had awful smell. I get a similar one at North across the way which is awesome. My husband speciality was not good either. 2 top tables are very small and barely fits anything. It’s more like fast food set up to me. Unfortunately that’s it for me. There are great other options in same center.

My chicken Parmesan pizza was sliced carelessly, charred on top and undercooked on the bottom. the toppings were uneven — a quarter of the pizza had only cheese and sauce and a quarter of it had only sauce. Falora, Vero Amore, and Pizzeria Bianco are all much better options.

I may decide to give Humble Pie a second chance in a few months when they’ve had time to work through their system glitches. The majority of this dining experience was average until the side of uncalled-for rudeness. My friends and I met for drinks and dinner on an early Sunday evening. We asked to be seated outside because we thought the sunset would be nice. The outdoor heaters worked too well for our taste. The heat was sweltering and we asked to sit inside instead. The staff was incredibly accommodating. On to the server saga… Our first server came over. A young woman. She took our drink order. One of my friends started with water. My other friend and I each ordered a glass of the wine: The Seeker. How could I resist a Harry Potter wine? We were off to a great start. A few minutes later, a second male server came over and hovered awkwardly at the table for a moment. He finally broached the subject, which was that they were out of our wine choice. Not any kind of issue for us. The world’s not going to end, so I ordered a Domino and my friend ordered a Living Room. When our drinks were served a few reasonable minutes later, we now had both the original female and second male server helping us. We ordered some appetizers. The sauce on the margherita pizza was too sweet for us, but the spiced cheesy bread was very good. The tempura fried green beans with mustard aioli was the hit, though. They were yummy. After the food was delivered and we had been eating, a different male server came over to inform us that he would be taking over. My friend who initially ordered water, asked if she could get a glass of the wine Living Room. This third male server brought her wine over a few minutes later. One glass. At this point we had experienced three different sets of servers checking on us more than once. These check-ins were in addition to separate deliveries of a plate or beverage. I lost count of the number of times our conversation was interrupted. I realize that our decision to move from outside to inside could have thrown off their server station map, but adjusting through three different server phases is just too much confusion. Proven when we received our bill. One of my friends was treating, but she thought the total looked a bit off. I looked over and saw that the two orders of The Seeker were still on our bill. An innocent mistake easily remedied by the right server. Unfortunately, the third male server did not handle this situation well. When my friend pointed out that we still had the two orders of The Seeker on our bill, he seemed confused. Understandably so. My friend tried to clarify that they were out of that wine, and his response was to make a comment along the lines of «So you ordered just three glasses of wine even though I brought out a couple?» What? Did I just hear him speak to my friend in a completely presumptuous and insulting manner? We are all middle-aged and later teachers. We’re not trying to dine and dash on you. We’re merely politely pointing out that somewhere in your system, someone forgot to take off the two glasses of wine. That you don’t even have in stock! Thankfully, my friend answered him by confirming that we had ordered a total of three glasses of wine. He walked away and we stared in disbelief at each other. Someone must have clued him in because he adjusted the bill and added the«friends and family» discount. No apology. On their website Humble Pie invites customers to experience«polished yet unpretentious service.» I think they have some work to do before they actually deliver on that promise.

I have been to this place two times for happy hour and really enjoyed it. They have a great happy hour menu with a wonderful selection of food and drink choices at great prices. I had the red sangria to drink and it was very fruity and delicious and not too tart! I’ve had their pretzel which is paired with a spicy mustard that’s delicious(just don’t eat too much of it or you might clear your nasal passages!) the fries are good too, their tempura green beans are super yummy and a unique appetizer that I’ve never tasted anywhere else and I had their pepperoni pizza which was delicious too… I can’t wait to try some of their other pizza combinations! They have a great patio that is perfect to sit at and soak up some of the Arizona sun. I will definitely continue to hit this place for happy hour! Delicious drinks and eats!

Went on a Monday for lunch. Service was quick and pleasant and the food arrived quickly and correctly. Flavorful pies and a nice change from the typical junk that passed for pizza most places. Wider selection of toppings than Sauce and pretty similar overall feel. Prices are great and the lunch special is hard to beat. Would be nice to have done more draft beer choices but they do have Dragoon and Four Peaks. Will definitely go again.

I like the setting and idea but that only took me so far. Very oily pizza followed by a large bill and rotten service. Should have eaten some place else on Christmas Eve.

Worth going to as the décor is really sharp and has plenty of outdoor dining. Ordered pepperoni pie with a side of pesto and soup. Definitely good, just not exceptional.

this place definitely has potential. Great space with fun views from the outside seating(people watching) or inside(watching the brick fire oven and pizza dough tossing). large wine selection and the pizza menu is a full 2 pages — one side is all white pizza options and the other red sauce options. They do also have a few salads and other things, but pizza is definitely the largest on the menu(not surprisingly). My friend got their sausage pizza(red sauce) and really enjoyed it. The sauce was a little sweet but not too acidic — very nice. I got their macaroni and cheese. It was very tasty with a nice blend of cheeses. There was almost too much panchetta in it… which I know, most people will think I’m crazy for ever saying something has too much bacon. But I like mac and cheese for itself and this dish, I felt, was a little overwhelmed by the meat. We also got their mozzarella bites to start — yum! hot, not too thick of coating on them, and nicely seasoned. the service was good. the waitress was friendly, quick to get our order and bring food, and even offered a box up for the left over pizza without us having to ask. they have a lunch club where you eat 5 and the 6th one is free, so I could see business people liking this as a less pricey option for lunch in the La Encantada area.

Lunch today, first visit. Seating is great, we sat outside which was very nice. Server was prompt with drinks, ordering, etc. We ordered 2 starters: bruschetta and tempura green beans. Plus a Humble Pie signature sausage pizza. It took a *long* time for our food to arrive, though the place was only ½ full. Instead of the«starters» arriving promptly(how long can it take to make a bruschetta?) the pizza arrived first with the bruschetta, no beans. I asked the waitress to please take the beans off our order, too late. She returned shortly with the beans and they were gratis. Very nice, but would have rather had the beans while waiting for my pizza. The bruschetta good, made from standard sourdough. The tempura beans were surprisingly addictive — I couldn’t stop eating them. The pizza had a very generous serving of sausage on it, which had a good flavor and texture, though very mild. The roasted fennel was in small cubes. The crust(most important of all) was very thin in the middle, and thick around the edges. It had a good texture, but the center got soggy immediately. Overall I’d say our experience was«meh». It’s a place to go for a good selection of reasonably priced pizzas(considering the location), but our meal was not memorable. The couple at the table next to us were raving(positively) about the cocktails. They have a nice Happy Hour, 11 – 3 for drinks, 11 – 6 for food. I’d like to go back some afternoon at 3pm and tip back a few of their cocktails and appetizers. My hope is that they will work the kinks out of their service in the next few months — Tucson really does need another top-notch pizza place, and I am hoping the Humble Pie can fill the niche.

Will never be back. Went for an early dinner with my mom; the service was terrible, our waitress was passive, and was just overall uninterested in giving any service whatsoever… besides setting things down bluntly and just walking away. The food was definitely just mediocre; we ordered the«locally grown vegetable» pizza which had mushy vegetables and what I guess we’re «locally grown» green olives… and lots of them. Overall this place needs a nice big serving of humble pie.

First time here, and it was pretty good. I would say that most of the reviews I’ve read so far are accurate. The pizza needs a little more oomph, but I like the service and the décor and of course the eighties music. I like the open concept but when it’s chilly, shut the front door! It was of cold! Overall, give it a try. We were pleased.

Literally A-OK. I came here with my family for lunch and got to sample a few of their pizzas and salads. We ordered 3 lunch expresses which is actually a pretty good deal. ~$ 11 for a 10″ thin crust pizza and half salad/soup. You can choose any pizza and salad/soup in their menu. Their regular pizzas are 12″ for about $ 11 – 16 and salads are ~$ 7 – 10. Its served daily from 11−3pm. We ordered 3 lunch specials and 2 drinks which came out to be $ 42 before tip. What we ordered~ –Chopped Salad –Wedge Salad –Caesar Salad –Grilled Chicken Pesto Pizza: Kind of plain, not much taste and absolutely NO pesto taste to it at all! I barely even saw any pesto on my pizza, if any. The onions were burnt to a crisp and were unrecognizable. –Meat Lovers Pizza: Pretty average. Has sausage, pepperoni, the works, but I honestly did not enjoy how salty the meat was. –Shrimp Pizza: Different, but out of the 3 was my favorite. There were about 3 small/med sized shrimp per slice of pizza. There was a strong shrimp seafood flavor to it. The salads were pretty boring and regular. Nothing fantastic or special about them. Im pretty sure I could make the ones we ordered the same or better at home. The pizza flavors and tastes were okay. The middle of the pizza was extremely thin crust where it was flimsy and toppings would easily fall off. But the outer crusts were a little thicker like a traditional pizza. Nothing really stood out food wise here for me. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t memorable for me. As for the restaurant itself, it is located between Frost and Blanco at La Encantada Mall. It is cute and trendy, but it is very small! Only about 13 tables inside, 7 tables outside, and bar area which you can eat at if you decide. I can imagine the small space could be a problem for large parties or if they start to get very busy in the future. Environment: 5⁄5 Food: 3⁄5 Price: 3⁄5 Service: 3⁄5

Nice edition to Encantada mall. The space itself has a nice décor and full bar, however it’s a small space which they compensate for by cramming a bunch of tables together cafeteria style. The pizza was solid– the crust is perfect, thin on the bottom, crispy puffed outer crust. We had the SOP which was a good flavor combination of onions/red bell peppers/sausage. The iceberg lettuce salad tasted fresh. The most disappointing thing, which I almost gave this place three stars for, was the«doughnut holes”– it sounded amazing with cinnamon & caramel topping, but I would definitely not call them doughnut holes. It was pile of crispy little pieces of fried dough that we wished we could return, and I’m not hard to please with desserts. They only have one other dessert option of a chocolate chip pizza cookie which we’ll try next time. Service was good. They have a good selection of beers/wines/cocktails with drink discounts every day from 11am to 6pm. There’s a different special deal every night– we’ll probably check out the Thursday date night deal– appetizer, 2 salads, and a pizza for 24.95

I came with my friend on a Saturday night. They were busy, but not slammed, as we were seated right away. However it took forever for someone to come take our drink orders. Which is kinda how the whole night went: slow, scattered, and somewhat frantic even though there was no need to be. For example after our drink orders but before we received our food, a random waiter asked us if we would like dessert. I think this place is new, and to be honest it showed. With better service I’d give it four stars. For an appetizer we got the French Fries which were amazing, they were crispy and delicious but not too greasy. For pizza, my friend got the veggie add chicken with gluten free crust. The menu was weird because it said no substitutions but then it ended up being fine(except super pricey). It ended up being 19 $ and my pizza which was the prosciutto and fig, was 16 $. They were good, but not great. Certainly not worth almost 20 $. My pizza in particular was a disappointment as it was mostly crust. Also it was freezing because they kept the roll ups open, and it has to be in the 40s. Overall, I’d say it was good, not great. Not worth the 30 $ I shelled out
