We stopped by on a Sunday and split a dip sandwich with sweet potato fries, a rare find in Tucson. It was quite and we watched the NASCAR race on nice size TVs while music played in the background. The staff were friendly and the beer was cold. Can’t ask for much more!

This type of bar usually isn’t my type of scene, but my husband loves places like this. It has a very fun and laid back atmosphere and the bartender was very generous with her drinks. Everyone knew everyone else there(except us of course) and I really enjoyed getting to watch all the interaction. They had a live band while we were there and they played some good tunes. I liked that the band was outside so I could sit inside and still listen but I didn’t get my ears blasted while trying to have a conversation with anyone. This was just a really nice place to relax, share some stories with friends, and drink a nice cold brew. I can’t really speak for the food, but it looked and smelled pretty good. I would definitely return here for a good time.

Green lights, green and yellow bathrooms and Guinness… I guess that makes a place a Irish Pub… NOT! Pros: It has live music and the waitress was nice Cons: Nothing about this place reminded me of an Irish Pub. There is décor that could be but that’s where it ends. The place is very, very small with a huge bar with not a lot of beer choice(I asked for 3 different beers that they didnt have). Wont be going there again.

Irish Pub is exactly what you expect it to be. A no pre-tense local bar, where drinks and food are affordable and service is good. Only reason I don’t give 5 stars is lack of actual Irish food, but otherwise I’ve always left satisfied.

I’ve been going here forever – well, since mid 90’s. It has seen it’s ups and downs, and so, i have been back again after a bad point in July. I’m upping to 3 stars from 1. i have been back there 3 times in the past month, and honestly, they have improved a lot. I’ve had appetizers(they added a big pretzel), burgers(real meat instead of the old frozen pre-made patties), chicken strips(home made now), and everything seems fresher. Talking to one of the cooks and he was telling us that they have revamped a lot recently– moving from pre-made to a more fresh menu. It seems to work for now and they have made progress. It may not be fancy restaurant and all, but the food is a far advance from previous and at a competitive price for what they serve. They even made homemade corn dogs on special occasions– worth it.

We went there two Fridays ago to try their fish fry. Band was playing on the patio but inside wasn’t terribly packed there were plenty of tables to choose from. The two of us picked a table and waited, and waited. I’m a patient person but what really pissed me off was when a group of 5 come in ten minutes later sit down next to us and the waitress takes their drink order first, and tells us «she’ll be back». Didn’t wait long enough to find out because we left and are not coming back!

To sum it up: — Decent beer and food prices — Service was attentive and friendly — Irish dip was dry; benefited from some bbq sauce

Went there tonight to watch our friends band play. Got there around 6 and the place was already pretty full. Service was mediocre and not on the friendly side despite our efforts to lighten up the mood. Spent quite a bit on food and drinks(definitely more than it was worth)!! While listening to the band(who were very good) my 13 year old daughter wanted some dessert. She ran next door and got a frozen yogurt and brought it back to the patio where we were seated. A few minutes later the owner approached her(not me or her father), wagged her finger in her face, told her what she was doing was illegal, and made her go in the parking lot and finish her cup of yogurt. NOW — 1st of all — it isn’t illegal to consume a cup of yogurt(as we all know)! 2nd of all — If it was against company policy or even health code for that matter then there are much better ways to approach the situation. Like speaking to the parents perhaps??? I will never go back there — not worth the poor service or lack of respect to the patrons.

Located in a strip mall in a quiet and residential part of town. Came for a family dinner. Fish and chips was good. Sandwiches were not so much. Loved the waffle fries though. You can’t go wrong with beer. Not bad, but not my favorite place in Tucson. I don’t think I would come back. Not the best service and prices either.

The Irish Pub’s not the Auld Dubliner, thank your lucky leprechauns, but its hearty food and attentive service are exactly what’s needed at this nexus which attracts Foothills snowbirds, ranchers and their dogs, trust fund kids, and Catalina Highway bikers. Although I don’t visit frequently, Julie the amazing warrior princess server remembers what we both drink and is attentive and genuinely friendly. From outside, I watched her serve an elderly woman diner inside who was alone and observed the diner’s almost-teary demeanor turn to smiles. Enough of the maudlin… the sandwiches are enormous and a kickin’ value at around $ 6(French dip and sweet potato fries are a happy pair). Friday nights Johnny and the Rockets play inoffensive, eardrum-friendly retro rock on the patio. The Pub loses a star for the cardboard clovers and Lucky Charms décor, but I’ve never been disappointed here.

Meh. Meh, meh, meh. Honestly, I could almost leave the review at that. Wanted to check this place out since I have seriously been missing my old local pubs and Irish Pub is the only bar close to our house(time to move). First of all. The only thing remotely Irish about this place is that they serve Guinness, Bass and Smithy. Beyond that meager nod it’s a bar that looks like it left up it’s St Patty’s day decorations WAY past their prime. Husband and I went at 6:00 on a Friday and the place was busy, but not packed. We got a table and decided to try dinner. We DONOT drink Bud or the like so our choices were limited. The beer was fine and the service was average. The husband ordered their Friday fish and said it was okay. I got the turkey sandwich that came of white bread(didn’t know anyone did that anymore) and had onions. Now, if you are going to go through the bother of including lettuce and tomatoes on the menu include the FREAKINGONIONS if you put them on there. I also asked for mustard, no mayo and got a dry sandwich. Overall it wasn’t a BAD experience, it was just meh. Next time we don’t want to go somewhere farther from home we’ll just swing by the store, buy some beer and make pizza at home. At least we’ll get good food without spending as much.

Great fish fry on Friday’s. Full menu of «bar food» sandwiches and burgers … all good. Friendly service with an outdoor«smoking allowed» area. We eat there often and leave satisfied.

Wow August I could not disagree with you more. I read your review and took the family to try it out. We long for a good Irish pub like the one’s we use to go to in NY. The food is anything but excellent. The prices were on the low side but the food did not come close to being worth it. I paid $ 9 for cold, over cooked sweet potato fries and the Mason burger that had 4 thin sliced mushrooms a random piece of bacon that did not belong on the burger and a costco hamburger. My wife had the Irish dip with the saltiest au jus sauce we have ever tasted. It didn’t appear to be authentic au jus sauce either. My wife also asked for melted cheese on her fires. This came out after the entire dinner was finished and it had nacho cheese sauce on it. My brother in law tried the ultimate nachos and they were stale and flavorless. On a good note the wait staff was very nice. We were looking forward to an authentic Irish Pub like when we lived in NY but got a bar that served cheap bad bar food. We new we were in for it when an Irish bar had a poster of Killians Red on it. The pub’s website talks about having a covered climate controlled outdoor area with a large area for smokers. Well I guess that was right since the whole outside area was there for smokers. It also said that it has an upscale atmosphere! It might be one step above a dive but that would not classify it as upscale. Overall the place gets one star for a very nice respectful wait staff. You could probably add another star if you were just there to drink and a third if you want to smoke.
