Went for breakfast. Been here a few times. Like their pork chops with eggs, hash browns and toast. Very thin pork chops. The simple meals are good and reasonably priced. I say plain. For example their eggs Benedict is real bad. Do not know what it really is. It is just bad. The sauce is a … an unknown thick liquid. Has a beige color. Almost like gravy but not? Service is good. This place is not fancy. Clean and simple. I do enjoy it.

Great simple food. Standard diner. Better on the egg dishes. Pancakes aren’t anything noteworthy. I had the green chili omelette and liked it!

Standard greasy spoon place. Nothing on the menu really stands out to set it apart from others. Price is nice and cheap and they fill up coffee right when you need it. Solid greasy spoon place.

Small seating area, but if you play your cards right there’s no waiting. Selection is on the smaller side, but that’s ok for a little diner place — too much selection makes it that much harder for people to choose. Wait staff was friendly, food was fine, but the coffee was excellent! Probably the best diner coffer I had in Tucson. Reasonably priced, too.

Great little place. Service was on point and the food was good. Cute small hole in the wall restaurant.

3 stars not 4 because of the facility. The food here seemed a little better than the other Jerry Bobs in Tucson, but the facility was hot, lots of damage to floors and walls. Perfect wait staff and food(which I know can go up and down for a localized chain) Lots of regulars and a low cost menu with various specials every day. Read the white board or ask the waitress. Very affordable and perfect for families or couples. NOt much room for large groups at this location. NOT Fancy, just a local breakfast place that does good. Very casual and almost divey. My daughter took me for Father’s Day and we got in before the rush. Not much place to wait if you didn’t get a seat. They really should have invested in a new building by buying one of the closed restaurants in the area or expand this location. At least maintain it, I make these statements because the staff seemed to try hard to please with service and good food in a tough and worn down place. Tamale and Eggs were great.

I had the average 2 eggs with bacon and hash browns. It was good, with good, friendly service. I thought it was a little over priced for a basic breakfast. Robert’s is a buck and a half less for the exact same breakfast AND Robert’s bread is home made, Jerry Bob’s was clearly not. Overall, it wasn’t bad, but I think I would probably only go back in a pinch.

I like the vibe here better than some of the other breakfast places I’ve reviewed. The food was clean, fresh and fast at a very good price. Only surprise was that they charged me a buck plus for a side of salsa for my eggs. No problem I just won’t order it next time. Nothing fancy. Nothing unusual. Just good.

Stopped by to have lunch as I have none numerous times before. The Chicken Fried Steak was just about inedible, what a disappointment over what it once was! I mentioned this to the young lady waiting on our table. She was definitely concerned about my comment about the texture of the meat used in the steak. She promptly ordered another but it was the same low quality to which she apologized. The atmosphere was also a disappointment even for a semi fast food restaurant. The floor tiles were stained and really looked disgusting. Will probably just change back to the Jerry Bob’s on Valencia. The Chicken Fried Steaks are far better quality.

This review is for breakfast. Jerry Bob’s is a basic diner with a standard diner menu, standard diner service, and pretty much average food. On the down side, the building itself is a bit worn and the coffee, as usual for diners, no better than hot water. On the upside, the tables were well spaced, the wait staff efficient but over-rushed, and most of the food was tasty. I call out the scrambed eggs and sausage particularly. Forget the home fries — cold and uninspired. They did serve us totally burnt toast, which they replaced upon request, but how could the cook and the waitress both fail to see the blackened bread or smell the charred odor? Actually, I might come back if I stayed at a nearby hotel and didn’t feel like driving. Jerry Bob’s wasn’t bad — it just wasn’t good.

The short stack of pancakes with 2 eggs with cheese and 2 strip of bacon is phenomenal!!! The prices are great and they offer military discount.

Nice! Perpetual coffee refills, a good medium to dark roast. A dish of half-n-half arrives with the coffee, you don’t have to ask for it. That’s nothing, there’s 2 kinds of hot sauce(including Verde).on the table, extinguishing the boring need to ask and wait for them as in most other breakfast places. But what I liked best was the«build your own breakfast» of any 4 items for $ 5-something. I chose:(1) coffee,(2) two eggs,(3) hash browns and toast, and(4) sausage patty. Pairing-up hash browns And toast as one selection, was an act of Jerry Bob genius. Yes, at $ 2.09 per cup, the overall price of a meal goes down if you make it one of the four items rather than have it separately. Ladyfriend had tomatoes as one of her items, and got a nice 4 or 5 good-sized slices and was just about thrilled. I’m not one of those awful folks who go to these places just to chat endlessly with the poor waitresses, and if I was, I’d be disappointed here, for they’re just too busy for chit chat, yet maintain a good esprit de corp. This is SO much better service then I was used to getting at the late, defunct Denny’s on Speedway, and quieter by far than the jarring, hectic ambience at Jerry-Bob’s on Speedway at Pantano. This may be MY breakfast spot for awhile, and hope you try it, too!

Though we have a Jerry Bob’s near our house, my husband and I decided to try this location due to all the positive reviews. The space itself is very small and basic. That building definitely has some age. The service was good. Our server was neither rude nor friendly. She was definitely focused on getting her tables served since it was so packed. I got the supreme waffle with a side of scrambled eggs and bacon. My husband got the eggs benedict with a side of hash browns. My food was hot and plentiful. I asked for strawberries and whipped cream on my waffles and boy did I get them. I couldn’t even see my waffle under all that deliciousness. That’s how I like it though. My husband loved his eggs benedict. The eggs were poached perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was flawless. To top it all off, the food came out in under 5 minutes. No joke, they are super fast. All in all, this Jerry Bob’s offers your standard breakfast fare at cheap prices. The food is hot and cooked to order and the service, though not super friendly, is fast and efficient.

Good for breakfast! Definitely check this place out instead of all the iHop or whatever other chain breakfast place. Food came out fast and hot.

Found this place thanks to Unilocal and prefer locals over Ihop. Food came out very fast. If you get coffee, the waitresses constantly fill your cup up without even asking which was awesome. Before I knew it, I think I had almost 4 cups because they filled it so fast. Great food and well priced. Try it and see what you think, you shouldn’t be disappointed.

I would use all the ink in Unilocal pen to compliment this establishment. This is a perfect example of price balance, speedy /accurate /polite service, hard working cooks, cleaner silverware than Sam Witches and Such, and good food. The special for under $ 3 M-F is 2 eggs with your choice of hashbrowns and toast or a list of other sides. I’ve tried this with grits, hashbrowns, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, white toast, and bacon — all are absolutely perfectly cooked and served to you in less than 5 minutes. These are the fastest cooks I’ve seen. The waitresses are fast and polite, not overbearing. This brings me to a delicate situation: I ALWAYSTIPTHEMMORETHAN40% AND I RECOMMENDYOUDOTO. Allow me to explain: I happily tip just over 20% at Sullivans and Flemmings, even with a bottle of Symmetry by Rodney Strong, when the service is good. I tip over 20% when the service is good at any restaurant. If I tip 20% here, the waitress get 60 cents = no bueno. She runs around for a heck of a lot more than that.(In fact, I donate 60 cents every day to a child in another country that I don’t even know). So, I usually tip between 50 — 100% of the check here, and I implore you — if they give you good service, consider it please. Back to the review… A+++ on Ebay, thumbs up from Siskel and Ebert and 5 Stars on Unilocal.Check them out if you haven’t, impossible to top for breakfast.

Finally a hole in the wall that cooks REAL food! Not like the Country Biscuit where everything was out of a can! The French Toast is a must have!

I decided to go to Jerry Bob’s because it was within walking distance. There were only about 5 other tables of people, should have been my first clue that no one wants to eat here. I give it two stars because the service was good. My food was very bland! The worst part was that they have a cart with plastic tubs near the front door which they use for the dirty dishes. The obviously grumpy young men that were clearing the tables were literally throwing the plates and silverware into the tubs. It was extremely loud! Terribly bland food and ear drum destroying noise, I won’t be back. I should have driven to Brawley’s, Frank’s or Bread and Butter Café.

This is my kind of breakfast. Simple, cheap, fast. On your average day, I don’t even eat breakfast. But when I do, I like a proper breakfast full of protein and I have relatively simple tastes. Eggs of some sort, maybe an omelet with some veggies inside. Toast, preferably sourdough. Maybe some sort of hot sauce for the omelet. And finally, a nice tall glass of Orange juice. This place does it right, in that old-fashioned greasy spoon kinda way. The service is friendly and fast. The atmosphere is simple and practical. Jerry Bob’s is great for all ages, and despite the fact that its a chain, maintains its family-owned feel with treats like homemade pies. Everything about it is exactly what I want for breakfast. P. S. If you can’t eat in a place like this, then you’re officially a stuck-up snob and I don’t like you. The End.

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday. She was in the mood for pancakes and I was just in the mood for food. One thing I really like about Jerry Bob’s is that they give you the option to get your breakfast with pancakes or biscuits and gravy or hashbrowns and toast. You have options. Other than that, the menu is pretty straightforward diner food. My wife opted for sausage and eggs with pancakes. I spotted the special sign and ordered the breakfast burrito with ham. My wife enjoyed hers, The breakfast burrito was stuffed with ham, eggs, hashbrowns and cheese and came with a side of salsa. It was large and tasty. We got our food fast, it was hot, everything tasted good and the price was right. Can’t ask for much else in a breakfast place.
