The Philly cheesesteak was okay. Defiantly have had better. I don’t like that they don’t deliver to my area. Just barely missed the cut off.

So I’m out here on business trying to find a good place to eat. So I Unilocal this sandwich shop and to be honest with you the pictures look good so I figured I’d give it a shot. The people Were Very Very Friendly, I told him it was my first time there and what did they suggest she said their biggest seller was the Philly cheese so I thought I’d give it a shot. And to my surprise the sandwich is very very good I wasn’t too crazy about the potato salad needed a little bit of pepper but other than that the sandwich was really great I would most definitely be here again.

YUM! I ordered a New Orleans sandwich and it was delicious. Definitely captured a Cajun taste. Atmosphere is nice and the lighting made the place look nicer. This was my first time here and the lady taking the order was nice and I will definitely be back again. If you come, try the New Orleans! Pretty much all sandwiches are under $ 10!

Quick service, friendly help. Plenty of clean seating. When food came it was super hot and delicious. The Philadelphia was excellent.

The sandwiches are really surprisingly good. Really good. Prices are a bit high, but customer service is the real issue here. The staff is mostly pretentious hipsters who could care less about customer service. This is a shame because the food is so good. I would come more often but you have to be emotionally ready to be ignored and overpay for the good food. Please retrain staff or hire more friendly people.

Amazing food. I had the Hoboken and it was tremendous. I have had sandwiches of sorts, but for me what set this one apart from the rest was the bread the sandwich is made with! It was light and airy and soft enough to take a bite of the sandwhich that you didn’t have to rip apart like a female lion on a hunt for dinner for her cubs. I came when there were only 3 other people inside, I mention this becuase I can’t be certain how fast lunch service is served when full. I also dined in at 215pm and was served by 2:25 and had the sandwhich scarfed down by 2:30pm. The owner came out and talked to me and the patrons inside… he genuinely cares about their feedback. I recommend this sandwhich gem! Check them out you won’t be dissatisfied!

Nice selection of sandwiches. Menu is a little confusing for a newbie. Good sandwich(I got the Portland). A few quibbles — the roll was under-baked, and the diet RC had a metallic taste. I got a sandwich and a soda and it was almost $ 12. Seems a bit high. I’m sure if I lived closer I find more to like than dislike here…

Melt is a very nice sandwich shop with a great selection of sandwiches from which to choose. My initial reaction was to give Melt a 4-star review but, upon reflection, I decided to back it down to a 3-star and here is why: As I reflected on my lunch I realized that paying $ 8 for a relatively small, albeit very tasty, sandwich with no sides left me quite unfulfilled after an hour or two. I chose to have the Los Angeles which is a pastrami and swiss on rye(I chose to leave out the 1000 island dressing). Couple the lack of sides with the non-descript décor and I was left feeling that Melt is a quality sandwich shop but I’m not sure I would choose to go back unless suggested by someone else.

Wow! Hands down the best sandwich place I’ve been to. Beats beyond bread by far! Thank you. If you want to support local business this is a very good location to put your money towards than food chain!

I really hate giving poor reviews to local businesses but I was disappointed here. All around. Owner seemed miserable, uninterested, impatient. Food was uninspired, skimpy, bland. I left feeling empty and sad.

I’ve been here twice, and it’s always empty. I’ve only had their Philly sandwich. When they call the place Melt. they mean it. They’re served really, really hot. As far as the flavor I have to say it was ok. It’s really average.

Went here for the first time a few weeks ago. Needless to say I won’t be going back. Quick 3 reasons 1. Rude, arrogant ownership. I tried asking him for suggestions and he wouldn’t even acknowledge me. No smiles, no thank you. Just an awkward experience from start to finish. 2. Complete ripoff. I paid around $ 11 for a sandwich and drink. The sandwich was a abomination(the«Tucson», which is turkey, green chile and Swiss). I’ve seen thicker pancakes than these things. There was probably 2 pieces of turkey and a tablespoon of chile. 3. There are better options nearby for less money. Save yourself some cash and some sanity, go to Baggins down the street. Even jimmy johns is better. Note to ownership: if you think you can survive in this market with rude service and subpar quality you are only kidding yourself.

Meh. I’ve wanted to eat here for over a year, but always forget about it. Finally my friend suggested it. I walked in and it’s just kind of depressing. Dark, empty. Counter staff seems unorganized and really not that friendly. Food was average, nothing special. My other girlfriends weren’t into it either. Won’t be back.

All of the sandwiches here are pretty good! My only gripe is that they closed by the time I got out of work, so I only got to try them on the rare occasion I could make it in time.

Skimpy sandwiches and attitude on both visits. The cookies are good though. The bread is also good.

I had the Tucson sub which had Swiss cheese, green chilies and turkey. It was so good! The only drawback of the place was it was really muggy to sit and enjoy the sandwich. I will def be going back though!

The thing is… Tucson has absolutely SLAMMING sandwich shops right now. Many spots have have been killing it for over 20 yrs. Well… Melt is a sandwich shop. It’s good. Not much wrong w the place. Probably would do well in a lesser city. Or even INTHIS city in the 70’s. but today we need more. Tucson… is waaaaaay on the map in the culinary world. One must do something incredible to brand their restaurant in this town. It’s just impossible to consider MELT As a competitor. …

For those who don’t know, it’s a scientific fact, like the Chupacabra or the existence of aliens, that sandwiches taste infinitely better when someone else makes them. Due to this fact, when I choose to spend my hard earned money at a sandwich joint, I fully expect my mind to be blown in such a way, that I end up writing a ridiculous Unilocal review about it. If it’s average, I trash it, because I could have easily saved my money and made the damn sammie myself. Luckily for me, Melt did not disappoint. Their sandwich options are vast, cliché-ly named after various cities in the United States, be it a hot or cold option. Today I tested the New Orleans, which consisted of Cajun spices, steak, green chiles, and provolone. It was really, really quite good. The most important aspect of the sandwich was respected, and that was bread integrity. The inside of the Italian roll was pillowy soft, yet crispy on the outside, and withstood the filling of the sandwich like a champ. There is nothing worse than a hoagie or a hot dog bun breaking apart as you eat it. This never happened. Simply put, I will go back to Melt, try out their various offerings and continue to report back. This sandwich place will get my business…

I can’t count how many times I’ve driven past Melt, and it turns out this was a mistake. Melt’s perplexing array of sandwiches named after cities don’t sound like anything special. Wrong again. I tried the New Orleans(cajun spices, roast beef, provolone, peppers), with mustard and mayonnaise(at the recommendation of the cashier, when I was baffled by the question of what else I wanted on it). I was blown away by the amazing flavor. It was spicy without being too spicy — it made me sweat. The peppers were perfect, the roast beef was radical, and the cajun spice really delivered. I can’t wait to try the next sandwich.

It’s always fun to try new places and especially a sandwich shop. It’s a good location on a corner and is very visible. When I first walked in I encountered a mysterious odor. Sewer gas? hmmm. Very slight but enough to be noticed. But not enough to make me leave. The place was very full with customers. The back part of the restaurant is quite dark but up close to the windows and entrance it’s bright and cheery. It’s easy to figure out what to try by scanning the huge menu poster by the order counter though I have to say it doesn’t really cater to non-meat eaters. I sure wish they would add more choices in that area. The server was very nice and we got called to pick up our food pretty quickly. I ordered the ½ cold sandwich with corn chowder soup special for $ 7. I got the San Diego which was tuna salad on sourdough. I hate being a Debbie Downer but that bread was really sour tasting. I suspect it was San Francisco brand. I would not order it again and I love sourdough bread. On the tuna salad sandwich front, Choice Greens still wins for me hands down. Not only tastier but better presentation and more generous. I think I should go back one more time and try to find a veggie melt sandwich. Many people were eating melts and seeming to be enjoying them. Their cold sandwiches, eh, I think I will pass on those from now on.
