I got a baguette and some almond croissants here. The place was crowded with customers and kind of disorganized but cheerful(Help shouting«Who’s next?» from behind the counter.) Prices were reasonable and the baked goods just dandy. Especially the croissants. These were substantial, super-flaky, and chock-full of almond-y deliciousness. Cash only, be warned.

This place used to be a «staple» bakery to visit in my childhood till recently. Over the years it became difficult to visit often when we moved so far away, but my mom and I would make the long trip early morning just to get the delicious goodies here. However, I am disappointed to say that I don’t think we will be motivated to visit anymore, because the customer service has been terrible one too many times! Unfortunately from one bad apple. We usually try to be very fair and give three strikes before we make a decision to call it quits on a place because maybe someone has had a bad day… and I am saddened to say that the one person here can ruin such a wonderful experience for us. Beware to anyone that goes here and experiences the young lady who throws attitude, hopefully she won’t ruin your experience because her attitude is so nasty! She apparently can’t handle it if you decide to make modifications to your order, she can’t bare to hold her thoughts in either, and freaks out by claiming she can’t decide which box to put in the baked goods if you keep having to make modifications. Then on another instance, still throwing attitude about something else and when you try to ask for the complimentary baggie for the breads, she gives you a hard time, pretends like she doesn’t know what you’re talking about and gives a plastic bag instead to spite you because we somehow disrespected her by wanting to change something in our order. If she continues to keep that up, the bakery will lose loyal customers!

They make breads equal to or better than any of the bakeries I’ve been to in Europe. I can’t even pick a favorite. It would be like picking which one of your children that you love the best. If there is a better bakery in Tucson, I have yet to find it. NOTE: They do not accept debit or credit cards. They take cash and local checks only. They are very inexpensive. You can walk out of the store with a bushel basket of goodies for less than $ 20.00

Horrible. Very far away from a real French bakery(bread was very chewy) and far away too from a French pastry(most of their pastries are American pastries…)

La Baguette Parisienne is as close to perfection as a bakery can be; open every morning, NO credit/debit cards and efficient workers, + if you forget your $$, you can pay them later. The pecan sticky buns(Saturday & Sunday only) are to die for, not to mention the large dinner rolls!

Great baked sweets and breads. I tried the brioche rolls once and they are absolutely the best for sandwiches, burgers, etc. The rolls are just a tad sweet and hold up to any condiment you may use without getting soggy or falling apart. There’s usually a line on Saturday mornings, but with three people working the counter it usually goes pretty fast. Very friendly staff. Bring your cash because they don’t take plastic.

I’ve been going to La Baguette off and on for at least 10 years now. I live between Vail and Sonoita, so it’s a decent trek… but well worth it if I am in the area! I would like to try more of the(non-sweet) bread items, as I usually just get a selection of desserts to take home and share. But I do know firsthand that their baguettes and dinner rolls are delicious! Some highlights that come to mind: The adorable Marzipan fruits are fun and make great accents on a dessert tray if you are entertaining, the Mille-Feuille(which I can’t pronounce to save my life) is always yummy, and the Apfel Kuchen is available year round(I think) but a particular favorite of mine around the holidays. I had a cinnamon roll(with walnuts and icing on top) the other day for the first time. Wow! Very tender and fluffy, great flavor. Not too«heavy» like some others I’ve tried. I honestly can’t remember the names of everything we’ve tried over the years, but it’s been consistently good. Some things were«just good» and some were«REALLY good». But I’ve never really been disappointed. The prices are VERY reasonable. However, as others have mentioned, they only accept cash or local checks… so that can be kind of annoying at times. I generally use my debit card 99% of the time and have to make a special effort to have cash if I plan a trip to La Baguette. But it’s definitely not a deal-breaker.

This place should get ten stars. It’s awesome. Seriously. They have shelves and shelves of amazing bread and a million(well, a lot) of amazing treats to choose from. Their coffee cakes are perfection. The fruit croissants are like crack. They don’t accept credit, so you’ll need cash, but not a lot. Their prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality of their baked goods. You’ll often see a winding line that comes out the door, but believe me when I tell you that it’s completely worth it to stand in that line!

Love love love this bakery! The only place I know of in Tucson that sells authentic freshly made french goodies. Lots of traditional loaves of bread, yummy rolls and baguettes of course in addition to cakes, cookies and pastries. The prices on breads are very reasonable — I’d say cheaper than what you would get in a grocery store and the quality is so much better. The danishes and pastries are a little more pricey, but still cheaper than you’d find at a Starbucks. I recently had a pretzel croissant there that was really unique and tasty! Get there early or place a special order if you need something specific because they do run out of items and make sure to bring cash or local check. There is sometimes a line but they move quick and the staff is super nice. Although their goodies have no preservatives and therefore don’t last long they do sell day old options but the door for super cheap!

This is the closest place I can find that comes close to the NY bakeries I grew up with. They had a wide selection of fresh baked bread, so good it doesn’t even need butter. I love their pastries and they have a decent selection of yummy cookies. They also offer danishes and bakes as well as some pies and other sorts of sweets that I have yet to try.

Awesome and Very Cool Bakery. Love the smell of all the fresh baked goods and breads being made. Great variety of goodies and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Only negative is that it’s not on my side of town but I highly recommend checking this place out.

Delicious croissants and treats hidden away in this cute French bakery. My favorite is the almond-filled croissant and chocolate-filled croissant is a close second. I’ve not tried the breads, but they seem very popular. These ladies are fast-paced and also cash only! Get there early because once the good stuff is gone, it’s gone!

such a great find! amazing breads that are really inexpensive. they only take cash(or local check) so come prepared. the desserts are a little pricey but they are amazing. the almond/chocolate crescents are so good and their shortbread cookies are my absolute favorite. the tray of brownies they sell are perfect to take to parties. Be prepared for a line out the door. be friendly, patient, and enjoy the yummy treats!

Been going to this bakery since 94, now I live out of town but make it a point to stop by while in town. Brings me back to the bakeries in France

Yes Please! La Baguette has been in the same spot for 20 years and there’s good reason for that. Often times you will see a line out the door and you may have to wait a minute but it’s well worth it. My favorites are the scones and the chocolate croissants. I contemplated docking them a star for not getting that baked goodness in my mouth faster but that just wouldn’t be fair. Go here!

Packed lines out the door every weekend. A true testament, So happy with their breakfast Danish’s. Not so happy that they only take cash.

4.5…Best bakery for bread in Tucson. Delicious hard rolls, baguette, hot dog and hamburger buns. and the sandwich bread called square loaf. Long line and it moves fast. Cash or check only. I have not tried any of the pastries, but people say they are very fine. The once a week trip I make from quite a distance is absolutely worth it. Sprouts is next door, so a combined shopping trip is convenient.

I love this place. Everything is mouth watering and is baked fresh daily. They have a great selection of breads, danishes, cakes, pies and so much more. If you’re in the neighborhood you must stop in. You won’t regret it.
