All their food is delish. But the customer service sucked. The girl at the register has no skills whatsoever and the food took almost 30 minutes to get to us and there was only us and an older couple there.

The Baja Grill Fish Tacos are a screamin deal at $ 7.20. They’re fresh. They’re fish. They’re yummalish! It is recommended that we all eat two servings of fish a week. This is a painless way to get that job done. The restaurant is clean and the employees are friendly enough. Good salsa bar with at least eight kinds to choose from.

Worst customer service. They messed up our Togo order and when we got home we called to inquire about it and they denied it ever being wrong and that we even ordered it. They argued with us on our order over the phone. Also while we were there to pick up our food the cashier girl continually went back and forth from the cash wrap to sitting down at a table with her boyfriend while helping us! Never coming here again you have lost our business and we are telling everyone to never come here again. La Salsa renamed La Salsucks.

My husband and I came here after years of a hiatus. In fact, we had never been the entire time we were together. The last time I had gone was about a year before I met him. I always thought it was just ok. Nothing spectacular, but if someone really wanted it I would be happy to go along with them. My husband hated La Salsa. He had been here as a vegetarian, and he doesn’t like beans, so that limits the menu for a person. He got a gift card for La Salsa at work, and we went back, just to use up the gift card. I got the fish taco platter and my husband got the chicken burrito«Ranchero» style, which is basically with enchilada sauce. The girl who took our order was really nice and pleasant, the entire staff was polite to us, and they didn’t stop working the entire time we were there. They were either cooking(though it was pretty dead), ringing someone up, wiping down tables, sweeping, etc. It made me feel safe that my food was in the hands of people who kept the place so tidy. Our food came out, and I must say, my fish tacos were a lot better than I remembered them being! I mean, it’s still a few steps above fast food and a few steps below«fine dining», but it was still really good! WAY better than a lot of other stuff I could get for that price. The fish was cooked well, I loved the cilantro cream that came on them… yum! AND they have a fresh, delicious salsa bar. I’m not sure if this is a regular thing, but they gave us free chip refills, too. My husband really liked his burrito. He was excited to find that he enjoyed this place again to throw it in to our regular circle of the«I don’t feel like cooking» nights.

The food is here amazing! If you are from or are familiar with Texas, this place reminds me of Taco Cabana. Even as a native San Antonioan, who grew up with Taco Cabana, La Salsa is ten times better and is just as cheap. The restaurant is very clean, which is always a plus in my book. The salsa bar is pretty good too, and most things you order come with complementary chips. I also love that when you order any quesadilla you get free guacamole, pico de gallo, and sour cream. Nearly every place in Tucson will charge you extra for that. The pinto beans are also really yummy and come with the kids meal. In fact, the kids meal is enough food that even my wife gets full on it. Overall, this place is way better than los betos or nicos. Only downside is that it isn’t open 24⁄7 like other fast food Mexican places in Tucson.

I had the chicken burrito-$ 6. Friendly staff, quick service, clean bathrooms! They even gave me a little bag of tortilla chips for free. I quote the terminator: «I’ll be back».

In my head, I always remembered that La Salsa had decent, quick Mexican food. I have no idea when that culinary experience occurred, but the meal in my head no longer exists at La Salsa. Their menu is extremely limited and basically consists of some reheated meat, rice, beans, and cheese rolled in to the tortilla style of your choosing. The salsa’s were all very bland and in general it was a very under whelming experience. It was fast, and it wasn’t covered in unhealthy greases and oils, but that is about all the positive I experienced.

Decent food and good salsa selection. Better than a lot of taco shops around town. Good choice for a quick lunch.

omg I love La Salsa. I had lunch here with my bestie and both of our Mom’s a few weeks ago. The food was as perfect as I remembered. My mom had the taco salad w/chicken, my bestie & mom had shrimp tacos, I had the chicken taco combo plate with black beans. It was all so tasty and made to order… and nothing felt heavy or greasy.

Been going here for a long time and it’s always been pretty decent, depending on what you order. This time we went and I made the mistake of saying that I wish they had better salsa to go along with the good food. Instead of taking 5 minutes for our order it took 30 minutes(and it wasn’t busy), the food was burnt and I am now suffering the consequences of something ‘added’ to my food that has made me sick. I just cannot believe that the people that work there would do something purposely to the food they serve to make someone sick. I used to work in fast food when I was younger and we would have never done anything like that, no matter what opinions the customers says or thinks. I have spoken to several people who no longer go to La Salsa because of similar experiences. You’re experience may be different and I hope it is, but I am no longer going to spend my money there.

Have the chipotle shrimp salad and stop by the salsa bar to add mango salsa! One of the few chain restaurants that I frequent in Tucson. Crowded at lunch time and parking is ridiculously tight, but worth it.

This is a great little west coast chain. Its the perfect place to grab a quick fish taco lunch or dinner. Great salsa bar. This location has friendly employees and is always quick and efficient. I like to sit outside with my pooch on the patio.

I was served a burrito with a long hair in it, notified the staff and the burrito was replaced with a luke warm burrito(likely the same burrito re-rolled in a new tortilla… otherwise it would have been as hot as the burrito i was originally served was), for this reason i will not return.

Clean restaurant, tasty food, friendly employees. It’s not bad. I like the salsa bar. I might eat there again when I’m in the area.

Years ago, La Salsa was on regular rotation for lunch with my coworkers. Were it not for peer pressure I would never have returned after my first visit. I kept trying to fit in, ordering bland burritos, enduring uninspired salads, and at the lowest point wondering, «who the hell puts enchilada sauce on nachos?!» Then one day, I found them: the Baja Fish Tacos. Grilled mahi with shredded cabbage and a sauce whose recipe, given to me by an employee, embodies the diluted palate of this strip mall cuisine: ranch dressing + green salsa. No, it does not taste like Mexican food. But it really is super yummy.

A chain restaurant with a unique approach, but mediocre execution. There are a ridiculous amount of salsas that you can try over here. To be quite honest, they are all very well done. However, a lot of them don’t lend themselves to chips and salsa. Meanwhile, the ones that do go well with the burritos are just the same old stuff you can find elsewhere in Tucson. I suppose if you like to have more salsas than you are willing to try you should check this place out. While la salsa es muy bien, the other food is kind of plain tasting to me. I think it is a little bit over priced for the burritos and other stuff. Also, I get a little bit confused when I come here because they have so much stuff, and a lot of it just doesn’t sound appealing on paper. So, I stick to the normal carne asada burrito, and that isn’t very special at all. Unfortunately, the salsa’s don’t make it unique either. Service here is good but sometimes the salsa isn’t refilled. If you ask the employees they will come do it, but its a pain to ask. Food is hot and fresh, you can watch them make it so there is no mystery behind what you are getting. The steak nachos are actually very well done, and for $ 8 i think this is the real steal. My significant other and I usually share this and we are quite full afterwards. Actually, the nachos here are like brewpub style, but maybe better quality. I’ve had nachos from Claim Jumper and BJ’s for over $ 10, and this stuff compares very favorably. Sick of chipotle burritos? Well, I’m not sure this is the right place to come to. However, if you want some decent BJs or Claim Jumper style nachos without tipper a waiter, this might be a good place to check out.

Went here today for a quick lunch. We had the Steak Burrito — which was so huge and loaded with cheese, guacamole, beans, rice, and pico de gallo– and the Fire-Roasted Bowl? I forget what its called but its a bowl with rice, veggies, beans, and Chicken(or steak, your choice). They have the traditional sauce bar where you can choose between a variety of different salsas and guacamoles. the Habanero salsa was mucho spicy(LOVEIT!).

La Salsa Rocks! If you haven’t eaten at here yet, you are missing out on one of the best kept secrets in Tucson. Hands down, this restaurant(along with Sweet Tomatoes) is at the top of my list. Delicious, fresh, fairly-priced, tons of choices, magnificent salsa bar, and friendly and quick service. My personal favorite is the California burrito. But! the nachos are the best I’ve ever eaten. The Baja fish tacos are absolutely superb and the Chipotle Shrimp Salad is divine. So many wonderful choices you’ll need to return often to try them all! Highly recommended.
