I called Legacy for a day of appointment. Artie accommodated me and gave me directions to the salon. The salon is a hidden oasis. It has a very relaxing atmosphere. While I waited, Artie offered me a glass of wine. Wowzers… that’s never happened at a hair salon before. Artie’s consultation was on point. He listened to what I wanted, showed me damaged portion of my hair and then discussed my options. He then washed my hair and let a peppermint conditioner sit. He took his time on the cut, making sure everything was perfect. I barely noticed how long I’d been there since Artie is a great conversationalist and also has a great voice. I was very happy with the end result and received a number of compliments on the cut. I would go to Artie again in a heartbeat!

Finally, I found a hairstylist in Tucson. Artie listened to me and proceeded to give me exactly the haircut I asked for. He also sang me a song he wrote, which was surprisingly good. I think he has a backup career as a rockstar if he tired of the hair business.

Legacy, formerly Sunday’s, is the only place in town where I will get my hair cut. Artie is a master of hair as well as witty, intelligent, and friendly. Every visit is a pleasure and my hair always looks fabulous. He takes his time and makes sure every strand is perfect. I even sent my husband to Artie for a haircut(NB: my husband has had the same Clark Kent-esque haircut since he was 4 years old). Though his hair looked exactly the same to me, he declared that it was the coolest haircut ever.

I love this salon! From the décor to the super talented Artie(who fixed my horrible home chop 5 years ago and he has been cutting my hair ever since) to Ingrid! She gives the most amazing facials with an all natural skincare line. Well worth the drive into town(I live on the North side) to discover this little gem tucked away in the Mid Valley Athletic Club.

I absolutely love Legacy Salon and Spa. I have been going there since it was Sunday’s at the Spa. Artie is an artist and has talked me into a fabulous very red asymmetrical cut that I adore! I get compliments from complete strangers all the time. In addition I just had my first facial with Ingrid the new aesthetician and it was a relaxing joy. I have very sensitive skin and so am very cautious when it comes to trusting others not to turn me into a blotchy mess. Ingrid used her sensitive line and talked me through everything she was doing. I don’t think I’ve been that relaxed in a long time and my skin is positively glowing!!! I highly recommend both Artie and Ingrid as fabulous at what they do and wonderful fun people!!!

I was recommended by Brow Lady up in Scottsdale to find Sunday when I moved to Tucson a couple months ago. I have been going to Sunday’s every month to get my eyebrows done and have not once been disappointed. Her work is incredibly consistent, which is hard to find especially with eyebrow waxing. If you are planning on going, call and make an appointment before heading to Mid-Valley because she is usually booked for at least a week.

If you have ever been to Images Salon, Sunday has opened her own place. Sunday’s at the Spa is a wonderful place. It is the incarnation of Sunday herself. The theme is colorful with a distinctly 1940’s flair. There is always fresh water with sliced orange or cucumber for anyone waiting which is served in beautiful tin ice tea glasses. While you are waiting for Sunday, you can also check out her collection of 1940 – 1950’s memorabilia. It is truly adorable. The salon is roomy and Artie gave me the best haircut & color I have had in years. Artie is so much fun. Sunday assures me that Artie is from Scotland. I never discovered his true accent, since he spent my entire haircut doing impressions. It was priceless. We had such a good time, that I almost forgot that I was in the salon. Sunday takes care of all the waxing and nail services. She is amazing at waxing. Often times, I have left other salons crying because it hurt so much. When I see Sunday, I barely feel anything. Sunday even takes care of the waxing that«we don’t talk about.» The sunshine in the spa is Sunday. She has a spirit that surpasses many of the people I know. I am glad she has her own place again, where her soul shines brightly. Sunday’s can be a bit difficult to find the first time. She is on the second floor of the Mid Valley Athletic Club. Just off Broadway and Tucson Blvds.
