We just purchased a car at Lexus at the auto mall. Ramon Chavarria meet us on a very hot day in the parking lot and helped us thru all our questions and unusual request to accommodate myself and my fiancé, who is paralyzed. Ramon allowed Frank to do what he needed to to get in and out of the car.
Ramon was very professional, and with no pressure worked to get us the deal we were comfortable with.

This place is over the top in every single respect. Sales team is professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Service is a thoroughly enjoyable experience that includes hot coffee, fresh pastry and a full cadre of refreshing beverages. I am on my 5^th Lexus and will return again and again.

Wow. My purchase took a year. Jonathan Triplett greeted me on lot. Warned him I was not even going to test drive that day. I was just on data gathering. He spent a good hour just answering questions about Lexus in general, the cars, and general leasing questions. Several months later Jonathan Triplett once again greeted me in lot and we test drove a couple cars. Several months later I brought my wife with me and once again Jonathan Triplett greeted and wife tried the same models. Several months later I called Jonathan to make an appointment to get a car as he had earned the commission from me as he took notes or something to remember details I had given him. The buyer gave me several thousand more than I was expecting for the trade in (he gave actual fair trade value!). The business manager (want fries with that person) took «no» as answer 1^st time on every question (wife pushed more than business manager). I was told upfront by Jonathan that theirs is a no haggle dealership and discovered thats true as they were fair from the start. I even had to ask Jonathan Triplett for some of his cards to hand out as he didnt push them at all on me. I may have finally found my repeat dealer after several cars and years. Wife likes the fact that you get a dozen roses with each purchase.

I bought a pre owned certified Lexus gx 6 months ago… Lets just say my car has been in the shop 5 different times. The moment I drove my car off the lot the rubber around the outside of my windows flew off. Then my breaks started squeaking so loudly I was embarrassed to drive my new car. Finding out later that my certified Lexus didnt have Lexus Breaks! Then my car just stopped working while I was driving my two young childen. Yes, stopped working! Thank goodness for Monterey Lexus who saved the day and helped me get through the horrible experience. Two months later my car wont start. I popped the hood and behold my battery is cracked!!! I had just had my car serviced the week before… I am now having to get my car towed out of pocket because they don’t consider cracked battery maintenance. Basically this dealership slapped a certified sign on a pos car. I cant wait to sell it!!! Point of my review, don’t trust this dealership!!!

So I was in the market looking for a car. Just something to treat myself and accomplish one of my life goals; buying a car all by myself without mom or dad’s help. I knew for the longest time in life I have always wanted the 2015 Lexus IS F-​Sport, seeing it all the time just had me staring at red lights!
I decided to venture to my nearest Lexus Dealer which was here. My first visit was just to scope out the place and see what selections they had. I looked between the amazing Lexus RC to Lexus ES however there she was the 2015 Lexus IS I’ve always wanted with the exact color that haunted me in my dreams (white with red interior). I spent a good half hour just looking around then another customer came out, stopped, looked at me and said «That is one sexy car and it’s going to be mine!» then drove off. I chuckled and said «Actually…» I walked to the front desk and asked to speak with a salesman. (Which I liked since you are not hassled by salesman once you step foot on the lot)
I was referred to Kris. Who came out and greeted me and gave me a walk through of the car. Then asked about what I did and when was I planning to buy. I told him relatively soon, sometime this month for say I’m just looking around for now. His attitude however changed, he then looked at me like if I was not serious anymore and said these words «Why don’t you come back when you’re ready and here’s my card.» I was surprisingly shocked. I’m not sure if it’s because I looked young and possibly a «kid» just messing around looking at cars for the fun of it, in which I left for the day pretty irritated by how I’ve just been judged.
The following week after I came back, now that I have days off and time to spare, to do the long process of paper work and talking I knew that comes with buying a new car. This time I asked for a different salesman. In which Todd kindly assisted me. After going through the whole inspection of the car (which was still there) and test driving, I told him let’s run numbers. That’s what we did, he was very kind and helpful, answering questions I’ve had and most importantly treating me like a normal person, not a kid just there to waste his time. We finally, got the ball rolling and I’ve mentioned I was referred to this dealership by George (a former salesman who sold many cars to one of my best friends and had great reviews). I was informed by Todd that George would not be in by noon, however he could assist me with everything for now.
The process was long as expected but Todd, made sure I wasn’t forgotten and showed me to the break room which was a nice homey area to relax and have some snacks. Due to me working night shift at the time, I was drained. So I decided to get a little shut eye. Todd still periodically checked in on me as we waited for the service consultant who I was referred to at Jaguar since Pam was not in at Lexus. After being helped and having some great laughs with the Service Consultant (I believe his name was Jim) I then came back to Lexus to Todd’s table. Awaiting me there were roses which I thought was Todd’s to take home to his family because he informed me had to leave early and would hand me over to George who was now there. But nope it was for me, so I joked around about it here and there seeing that Todd did had some humor.
In the show room was the Lexus IS all washed, inspected and clean. I was given a walk around by Cody and educated about the features the vehicle came with. Who Cody was very active and had talkative energy; Definitely a nice guy! Todd and I did notice a black mark on the front bumper, which Todd called the service agent, without hesitation, to come take a look, in result, he was able to buff out. Afterwards George came by with his super energetic and charismatic self and took over with my answers about the car. He was super helpful and I swear talking with the guy for 10 – 15 minutes I felt like I known this guy for years! Definitely a really good salesman trait! We joked, laughed, and took pictures and selfies with the car! Now I knew why my friend referred me to him, he was quite a character!
Overall that wraps up my experience with this dealership. It started off rough but ended really well. The staff I dealt with at purchase of the car were all incredible and welcomed me to the Lexus family with open arms. They even called me a few days after for a courtesy check to see how I was doing. They also remembered I worked night shift and was happy to leave a voicemail, since they knew I was sleeping. That really shows they listen and know their customers. If you are in the market to buy a car, here is one recommended place. I hope you get the same experience I’ve had with the staff I’ve mentioned in this review.

If anyone ever want to buy a lexus and want the best customer service experience, you have to go see my sales guy «Jonathan Triplett «at Tucson Lexus By the way, Unilocalers, no one ever ask me to do this review. The opinion below is my own and absolutely impartial !!
I happen to run across a low mileage used RX I wanted to buy and due to the fact I was out of state from CA, I had to rely solely on Jonathan to help complete all the transaction from payments to inspection of the car for me. Please note I am not a easy buyer to please and yet Jonathan was patient, accommodating and made the entire process seamless .
Jonathan was absolutely amazing and I would not hesitate to recommend all my friends to see Jonathan for any of their car purchase needs !
Finally, I want to add the vehicle I purchase was not a 100K or even a 30K Car. Yet the dealer treated me with the utmost care and attention. The dealer’s Finance manager Pam Schantz was equally as impressive as Jonathan. Pam was very patient and did all paperwork over the phone .

Just bought a used Prius at Lexus of Tucson at the Automall, and the experience was superior. We worked with George Karahalios, who was professional, knowledgeable, and wanted nothing more than for us to be completely comfortable with our purchase and for it to be right for us. We had been working with another dealership, who ultimately paled in comparison to the service that Lexus of Tucson at the Automall provided. We got a great car at a great price, and can feel good about the quality of the cars at this dealership. They are invested in what they sell, no doubt. They also value their customers. We were disappointed that the car only came with one key after the sale was completed, and George called me later the same day to let me know that they would make a new key (expensive smart key) for us free of charge. This dealership wants to keep their customers long after they have signed on the dotted line. Thank you, Lexus of Tucson at the Automall!

Last month my 15 year old Volvo blew the head gasket and would have cost more to fix than it was worth. I was left carless. I knew that my next car would need to be a mid size SUV. I shopped it out. I test drove every SUV in every make at every dealership in Tucson. Had some interesting experiences that I could write a book about. My son called the Lexus dealership to see what they had available used and new. The owner Craig Whitman called me to find out what I was interested in and sent a salesman in one of the cars of interest to pick me up. What a great experience. George Karahalios listened to what my needs were with no pressure. I went back 3 times to look at the Lexus NX 200t and knew that was the car that filled my needs. Because I wanted a car that was white with light colored interior I had to wait for the shipment from Japan. Lexus gave me a loaner car to drive for those 3 weeks.
My car arrived day before yesterday, I was excited but a little scared of all the technology in the car. Cody Rivera the Technology and delivery specialist spent almost 2 hours taking me through the car and explaining how everything worked.
Every person that I came in contact with at Lexus and the other dealerships that the Whitman’s own in Royal Cars treated me the same, with kindness and respect. Now I know why my mom will only drive a Lexus.

Billy Vickery is a standup service advisor. He’s a straight shooter who is honest and doesn’t try to sell you on service you don’t need. He has made my experience at this Lexus service department very pleasurable. I highly recommend contacting him for any service needs. You won’t be disappointed.

After 4 years of frustration at a Lexus dealer in the Phoenix market– I went out of town.
I’m very dealership loyal and tend to buy quite a few cars. Been in the valley 4.5 years and bought 4 cars already.
Lexus of Tucson at the Automall was great, professional and responsive when the local PHX Lexus dealership was NOT.
Jerry Holbrook is a long term salesperson at the dealership and was very professional. I have zero problems, we made the deal over the phone, it was so simple.
I went halfway to Tucson to pick up my car, they offered to deliver it to my front door, but I didn’t mind meeting them halfway!

We recently purchased two new RX350s from Lexus of Tucson — At the Auto Mall. We traded in an RX400h and a LS. Prior to purchasing we contacted the dealership in Phoenix and two dealerships in the Los Angeles area.
Mark Kollar contacted us and asked for our business. Our cars had been serviced at this location for the last 7 years. Our servicing experience (Gene and Bob) has always been terrific. Because pricing was competitive, we elected to purchase our cars from this dealership.
The sales experience was as rewarding as our servicing experience. Mark was professional, approachable and answered every question we had. I never felt pressured at all.
Jonathan oriented us to our new vehicles. He was so knowledgable genuinely excited to share the features of the car. He talked to our level of technical expertise — and gave us just what we needed.
I definitely would recommend the dealership, Mark as a sales representative and the entire support team.

We are in the market for a new car. This weekend we visited Mercedes and BMW. A friend suggested that we take a look at the GS or LS. We arrived tonight at 545pm. We spent approximately 20 minutes in the showroom looking at cars and not a single sales person approached us. We went to the receptionist and asked to see someone in sales. After 10 minutes of waiting, we left. I guess they were not interested in selling anymore cars for the month. Tonight, they lost a potential customer.

We have bought 3 vehicles from this dealer and I can say that this dealership is fantastic! Their sales department is professional and friendly, and their service department is top notch. Whenever we take our cars in for service, there is a courtesy vehicle available at any time, and they always wash our car, even if we just happen to stop by. All their service personnel are wonderful as well, from the first person to greet you, until your service is finished. They are second to none in my honest opinion.

Best car buying experience ever… Well worth the drive from flagstaff to get outstanding service

I have been having my car serviced at Lexus of Tucson at the Auto Mall for many years. I have had nothing but Great service. We purchased a 1999 ES 300 and really had never had a problem. I currently just sold my car and was sad to watch it drive out of the driveway. Lexus is by far the best car made.
I would say the sale team at this center is a little less desirable. I was looking for a used Lexus RX. I visited the sales department and decided againist what they had at the time. I looked daily on the
site and found a couple cars they had listed. I called the young lady and inquired. I was told she would find out the status and call me back. SHE DIDN“T. I called again and never recieved a call back. I made several more calls to a young lady in the sales department and she for some reason would never return my calls. I finally broke down and purchased a brand new car, but did not use this dealership. She was just way to busy to sell me a car. I guess they do not work on comission or really do not need the business that bad.

Well I can’t explain for the prior 2 poor reviews because my experience at Lexus of Tucson at the Automall has been totally first rate!
From my initial consultation with a salesperson to each and every time I get an oil change the staff can’t seem to do enough for me!
I’m so pleased with the service that I recommend every one that I know to consider buying a Lexus, (Which also has been a great vehicle), but it’s the customer care that I can’t stop raving about!
Have no fear, purchase your new Lexus there and expect the royal treatment, I guarantee it!

Just purchased a certified preowned lexus is250 from George Karahalios at the lexus dealership at the automall. It was an amazing experience and I credit that entirely to George. I knew that buying a lexus would be a great choice because they are known to be great cars, but what really made me want to write a review was how well George treated me.
If you are looking to buy a lexus, go specifically to the automall location and ask for George. I know it’s the same owners of the speedway location but trust me. He has such a great attitude and demeanor that you will 100% leave happy.

Can’t say enough good things about how the staff here looks out for me. My service consultant is Jim Bingham and he knows my two Lexus vehicles, remembers what services have been done in the recent past, and is always there with the right advice when I bring them in. And get this: in ten years of having my cars serviced there, I’ve never had to take one back for failure to follow the work order or for less than perfect worksmanship. Plus, GREAT chocolate cookies in the lounge.

I’m giving LOTAM two stars for recurring car troubles.
In December of 2008Purchased a used, 2002 ES300 there in. Came here because my dad had bought a vehicle from them them a few years earlier. Car had just above 105,000 miles on it, but I figured hey! It’s a Toyota. Should last forever, right?
Wrong. Problems started within my first month of ownership. Specifically, the CD player stopped working (it ate my Ben Harper!!!). A minor problem, sure, but I’d JUST BOUGHT the car. Ugh. I took it into a Lexus dealership in Los Angeles, where I moved for grad school, and the mechanics told me it’d cost $ 800 to fix. Double Ugh. So I lived with it.
Cut to about 6 months later… the car’s Check Engine light pops on. The car’s sluggish, stutters when I accelerate, and is all-​around scaring me. It even refuses to start at night in a dark parking lot (I’m a 25 year old who never took karate. Can we say Evening News, anyone?). So, I take it into Unilocal-​reviewed mechanic and he changes *everything* — 6 new Iridium spark plugs, steering hoses, motor mount, etc. I drive it for a week. The Check Engine Light pops on. And on top of this, the rear window won’t open.
I’m a patient person. Slow to anger and what not. Hell, a lot of the time I shove down the anger with cookies. But Keebler couldn’t solve this, folks. So, after having just spent $ 1600 on repairs, I take the car to be serviced again, this time replacing the starter. And, you guessed it, no dice. Check Engine STILL on. I give Lexus of Tucson a call and explain the situation. After two weeks of phone tag, I have my dad call and the Manager makes the point that since I never took it to a Lexus dealership for service, there’s no paper trail, and thus…” The «…and thus» translates to «You’re SOL, lady.» Now, I agree to an EXTENT. Except that I did have detailed service records and went to places run by Certified mechanics. I also think it’s unreasonable to expect that all car purchasers only service their vehicles at dealerships. If that were the case, they’d be the only mechanics in the world. What’s more, I’d only put 10k miles on the car, so it’s not as if I was putting the car through unreasonable stress.
Q: «But you live in Los Angeles. How could Lexus of Tucson help even if they wanted to?»
A: By flying their mechanics to LA, duh (kidding). I think LOTAM could have helped by selling me car that was sound to begin with. Apart from that, I would’ve appreciated a less flippant («Well, what did you expect?» — Manager) attitude from the service department. They didn’t even have any solutions for my situation («What do you want me to do about it?» — Manager) apart from me spending even more money on another inspection all over again.
So, how does this story end? After 2 years of ownership, $ 2000 + of out-​of-​pocket repairs, a year of off-​on– Check Engine light troubles, a dead battery, broken CD player, a broken window and 10k miles of driving, I SOLD the car and did the smartest thing ever… bought a HONDA from CARMAX. Lesson learned, Lexus. Lesson learned. And I can haz graduation now. :)
