Came here with a party of 5 for breakfast. The food was very tasty, and well presented. Some of us had truly huge portions. My mother’s waffle, which was enormous, came with 2 thick slabs of ham, a huge mound of scrambled eggs, and a bowl of fruit. It could easily have made 2 meals. Dad had the Eggs Benedict with a request for the eggs to be soft-poached with extra Hollandaise sauce, which they gladly accommodated. The prices aren’t too bad, especially if you add coupon savings.

Truly enjoyed the taste of my dinner. Service was great and food was timely. We had a large group and they handled everything and everyone professionally.

I have been to this location twice in the last 6 months. Both times it took a little while to be seated, but once we got to our table the service was good and wait staff was attentive. It did seem that they were understaffed though. Food was good and prices reasonable.

Service was great here! Arrived at 1:30pm they still offered me breakfast menu, ordered Eggs Benedict and they were delicious. Their coffee was good also. I had a great experience, thank you!

STAYAWAY!!! We visit my aunt in Tucson every Thanksgiving, she loves Mimi’s and we all hate cooking, so that’s where we go. The first thing I noticed this year was that there was no line!(We did have reservations) We arrived at 4:15. The restaurant was very warm as it was full, but the temperature should have been adjusted. The menu looked good, lots of items included, only choices were 1. soup or salad, 2. white or dark meat and 3. which pie(no bread pudding this year). Our waitress was obviously very harried.(Hey…that’s what happens when you work on Thanksgiving). She was pretty weird looking and definitely did not exude professionalism. My husband noticed very moldy and filthy airducts. We were served our bread, but didn’t have any plates and my husband didn’t have any silverware. When I asked for plates, I was told that they didn’t have any clean ones.(Hey, they know how many people are expected there and really, it wasn’t even 5:00 yet!!) When the dinners came out, I have to admit, they were FULL! Unfortunately the food was tasteless. At first I was impressed that it only took about 5 minutes to receive our orders, but it quickly became obvious that the kitchen had all of the plates lined up and ready to go… all the server had to do was pick the one with the correct color meat. It was obvious that it had been prepared earlier. If I want to eat major calories and carbs, I want to at least enjoy myself. I was really looking forward to the pecan pie. I couldn’t believe it when I was told that they had run out of it… Again, by this time it was about 5:00. When I complained, I was told that they had a new kitchen manager that just didn’t know what to expect. Well, that’s ridiculous! A new manager on Thanksgiving? Even I would have known, based on the reservations, how much to order. I told the waitress that we were paying for a 3 course meal and I either wanted the bill adjusted, a voucher to come in another time to get some pie or something else. I received a tiny muffin. I understand that it was an inexpensive meal… but it still should have been decent. In closing, the ambience, service and food were HORRIBLE! WEWILLNOTBEBACK… ANDYOUSHOULDN’T GOEITHER!

We picked this restaurant because it was close to our hotel, and provided food. Our goal was to leave not-hungry, which we vaguely accomplished. If you’re passing through Tucson on a visit, avoid this restaurant. If you have the energy to trek further to find a decent place, it’s worth it – or treat yourself to room service. I didn’t expect a spectacular meal given that this is a chain restaurant, but I expected something unobjectionable considering the relatively expensive prices. The food at Café Mimi’s was dismal: the salad was brown, wilted, and smothered with excessively oily dressing. The«crêpe sauce» was a globular mass of butter? oil? Not sure, but certainly nothing you’d want to put on your food. The bread basket was good, though. And the waitstaff tried really hard — it’s not their fault if the food is gross, but we will not«come back to try [their] waffles for purchasing.»

Broken mussels. When the shell is broken, you have to assume it’s dead and throw it away, or risk getting very sick. My order had about 16 mussels and five of them had broken shells. It’s clear the kitchen doesn’t know to check them before cooking.(Well, maybe they know now, since I sent them back with an emphatic complaint.) I didn’t dare taste the others since dead ones could taint the whole dish. My replacement dish was breakfast since I didn’t trust them to cook another batch of mussels(they overcooked the eggs). My husband said his French toast and eggs were excellent, so that’s something.

This place is absolutely amazing! First time ever in Arizona and I am in love with Mimi’s Café. From the moment we walked in, everyone was so pleasant. My boyfriend and I waited a little bit but it was worth the wait. We started off with mango mimosas and it was refreshing. They also brought out bread with cinnamon madelines(I think they were cinnamon). I ordered the Bacon Avocado Omelet with a pumpkin muffin YUM! My boyfriend had the Santa Fe Omelet with also a pumpkin muffin. The omelet was perfectly made and the potatoes were well seasoned. The service was great! Our server was super sweet and attentive and new the menu very well and even game great recommendations. She also gave us at the end a piece of cake they were promoting for free! I was very pleased with my whole experience at Mimi’s very! Will absolutely come back when in the West Coast!

This is where my friend and I try to meet twice a month to catch up. Normally they do a great job. This past week however, I bought the new chicken with salad and potatoes. My chicken came RAW, it was disgusting. I sent it back and when I got it I just really couldn’t eat it. When I got the check I at least expected half of the price. Instead I paid full price plus tip. So I left hungry minus 22 dollars for a lunch I couldn’t eat.

Fabulous service, terrific good and great latte and cappuccino. I had a buy one get one free and so this was a great deal. Unfortunately here at noon and a long wait for our fancy covers and acoustics were quite loud due to crying children. Go off hours and enjoy.

It’s tough to fathom how this place is still in business when there are so many great breakfast places in the city. Mimi’s was our breakfast-of-choice back around 2012, but it has fallen hard since then. It is fairly clear that the restaurant was nice at one time but hasn’t been maintained since those years– there are holes in the wood panels, dirt and old food all over the carpets, one of the emergency exit signs above a door broke and is just hanging there by the cable, the tables are sticky and old gunk is visibly caked onto the surfaces, the dishes are visibly dirty, the list goes on. On our most recent visit, the server couldn’t even bother to give us fresh napkins under our drinks– they literally set the glasses down on top of crumpled-up napkins. The staff didn’t know who our server was supposed to be, so we ended up getting two different servers try to take our order. Our server brought us two glasses of coffee, and after being told that we only ordered one, she apologized but left the second cup there and attempted to charge us for it anyway. The meals are OK, but not in any way worth the money. They are roughly half as big as they were years ago. The bacon on our bacon avocado omelette was 75% fat and the ham on my Benedict was lukewarm at most. Even worse, the individual who brought the food out had something on his fingers that was visibly smearing onto the plate he brought out. This place makes me feel nauseous. The sanitary concerns alone are enough to make me suggest that this place be avoided while it remains in its current state.

Went to breakfast with daughter and grand daughters, service sucked, waited over 45 mins to get food, finally brought out the kids meal and said the rest would be out soon, they ran out of pancake batter, 10 mins later brought our food out, my daughters breakfast had a hair on it, when we told the server he seemed annoyed. We will never be back!

Mimi’s used to be so good, but no more. I will not be going back after my last experience. To begin with, the wait person was very friendly, but the service was slow. I ordered a bacon/avocado omelet. The bacon, tomato, and avocado were on top of the eggs and had to be diced to mix into the eggs. By the time I had cut up the filling the eggs were cold. Putting cold veggies in the eggs didn’t help. I also ordered sough dough bread and got un-buttered white toast. It was no longer warm so the butter didn’t melt into the bread. My daughter had crepes and they were topped with what appeared ti be an overcooked glob of cheese that she removed as being inedible. But the worst came when I got the bill. I had a coupon for«buy one entrée and get a second one at the same price or less for free.» The total bill was for much more than I thought it should be and upon examination I discovered that a third entrée for $ 8.99 had been added and that amount was used for the free entrée.((The real lowest entrée was $ 10.49). When a girl(assistant mgr. perhaps) was shown the error she rang up a corrected bill and only gave me a 50% reduction in the 2nd entrée. Of course, this still wasn’t correct. The manager came over and did offer an apology and showed the girl how to ring the bill up correctly and promptly left, Of course taking 3 attempts to get a correct statement took a lot of wasted time and it was not a pleasant experience.

It’s Mimi’s, so up front just know that three stars is good… it just did not go beyond or below what you would expect. There was hardly anyone in there when we arrived for an early lunch. We were seated right away, and our server came right up. Brought us some ice water, offered up some lemons(which I like but always forget to ask for). He took our order quickly, came back often to check on us… really now that I think of it, he was the best part of the visit. We ordered the trio deviled eggs to start — they actually came out pretty fast, and were surprisingly good. We both ordered SALAD’s — one Cobb, one Chicken Chop. I capitalize salad because it was nuts how long it took the kitchen to prepare them. I think we waited roughly 25 minutes for them which is crazy right? for salad? in a restaurant with hardly any patrons? It was a good salad, but it is tough to screw up lettuce and whatever you are throwing on top. We both ordered the«baguette» with our salads… but come on this was no baguette, let’s just call it a dinner roll okay? Look, food was good — service was really good — kitchen was a bit slow but overall it was okay and I would bring my parents here because that is the type of crowd they cater to.

Got really undone eggs on my eggs Benedict and the staff didn’t care. So we’re my sons eggs when he ordered scrambled eggs. I was completely disappointed.

Came here with family expecting a nice relaxing evening. We were one of two tables seated in our room. The food took nearly an hour to come out. There was construction happening in the room the entire time we were there. And it was loud(drilling on brick, etc.). The server forgot much of what we had specifically requested, which were simple requests involving menu items, a bread basket, water refills, etc. The only redeeming qualities were that the food was actually pretty good, and the manager came and apologized for the construction and took a percentage off the bill. This particular Mimi’s could stand a little TLC in the service and logistics department. I recommend NOT scheduling interior construction projects during business hours.

Me and my fiancé went here to eat. We usually judge a place by how good their tea is, and how the staff treats us. Unless the food is total junk I’m usually pretty happy with it. I ordered the Mediterranean salad with chicken. It was delicious. Lots of pepper, olives, and the leaves were fresh. My fiancé ordered the hickory bacon cheddar burger and asked for it to be as rare as they could get it. True blue rare is what we got, and it put a smile on his face. It was also very delicious. Let me say the waiter really made it for us. Unfortunately we didn’t catch his name. He had the courtesy to tell us the appetizer plate was hot as hell, and that description was spot on. I appreciate a waiter that isn’t afraid to use some softcore ‘bad’ language… especially when so many servers are 100% customer service and lack a personality. This guy was booming with it, and it was refreshing. I felt bad that he had tripped on a carpet. But he was okay. So if anyone can identify this waiter, he was amazing and shows that not all workers are robots. All in all I loved it. Similar to Olive Garden, way better menu. Similar pricing. The manager made sure to say hello. And might I add I enjoyed this place a lot because the local crowd seems to be in the older range for age. We were the youngest group there, and we’re in our mid twenties. It wasn’t awkward like a lot of other places we go, like IHOP. I will most defiantly be returning. :D

the service was good and we got a table immediately. The menu is fun and they have a great option to have both a little sweet and a little savory instead of having to order 2 full meals to get some of each. however, we had to go through 2 coffee cups before we got a 3rd that didn’t have lipstick stains. and the bathroom not only had no toilet paper in the stall but it was clear that it hadn’t been cleaned in quite a while. so while the food was good, the cleanliness made me a little wary — i will probably not go back
