One of the many projects we want to do in our new house is add a back splash to our kitchen. We’ve been looking around for tile we like and comparing prices. It’s something we want but can take our time to shop around. Recently, we received a letter in the mail from Moore Flooring. It was one of those congratulations on your new home, blah, blah. Then I read on and noticed that it read something to the effect of…“We don’t have a lot of money to advertise, we’d love for you to come in and take a look around, there is no commitment, just for coming in we’ll give you a free dinner for two(it didn’t say where). We were a little curious because we hadn’t heard of this place, so we decided to check it out and look at the tile. We went and there was only one other couple there. One. We walked in and started looking around. We saw some things we liked and actually wanted to know more about it. The man working there had clearly seen us enter(it isn’t a big place) he didn’t say hello or I’ll be right with you or even so much as gave us a nod. He continued to talk to the people he was helping and after about 15 minutes, he walked by us, almost crashed into me and asked how were doing without even slowing down. Now, we really were interested in some of the tile, so we waited around some more. Nothing. No help, no further acknowledgment, definately no dinner gift card(which I had even forgotten about) nothing. After about a half hour of just being there, we just left empty handed. I sure hope he got his sale because he lost one as well.
