Motel 6

I know you get what you pay for but DAMN. Was in Az for a family emergency for a few days. The pool looked filthy, the carpet was almost black, the bathroom was from the 1800’s, and the towels were not replaced with fresh towels daily. On a plus side, they did have a continental breakfast.

This. Place. Sucks.
I stayed here on my way to LA from Texas. When I drove up, they were taking a belt sander to some of the rooms in the front — renovations I guess. Some hobo was aimlessly wandering around with a 40 in the parking lot.
I got my room, and walked in. It smelled like smoke, feet and wet dog (even though I asked for a non-​smoking room). The bed felt slightly damp… awesome.
Lots of people came and went that night, talking and slamming doors. One even knocked on my door at 2am. I answered to see a cracked out lady, who said «Hey, is he still here? *craning her neck into my room* Oh, never mind.», then walked off.
Moral of the story, if you like nasty smelly rooms, worrying about your car getting broken into, hobos, construction and people moving around and talking at all hours, this hotel is for you. I wish I could give it no stars.
They don’t even provide shampoo!
