After much time of my indecisiveness, my boyfriend and I ended up spending our one year at Nino’s bar and grill. This place changed a little bit compared to the way it was. We took a look around the first floor, Five Palms, and looked at their wine selection and made our way upstairs. I was a little confused because the menu seemed Mediterranean and it had random food selection, but oh well. The wait staff and management were very friendly but it felt a little weird because I felt like everyone was focusing on us haha. Back to the food… For appetizers, we got the shishito peppers which were: 3⁄5 Braised Pork Belly: 5⁄5 Oh my god, this was ordered off the menu from downstairs and it was delicious. I sort of regret not ordering the whole meal off this menu. Lobster Bisque: 1⁄5 I really didn’t like it. It wasn’t horrible, but it didn’t taste like lobster bisque and I expected a lot more. It tasted like butternut squash and curry? Lamb: 3⁄5 it was okay. Not extraordinary and not bad. All in all, cute place but I’m not sure if we might be back. I might go alone when I am hungry since its near my place.

I have been here a couple of times and more recently for a happy hour get together with friends. It is located on the upper floor of the Five Palms restaurant and has indoor and outdoor seating with a nice view-especially nice at sunset. They re-opened after a renovation. The Happy Hour menu has about 6 choices including pork sliders, beef sliders, gyro sandwich, and a couple of other choices. There are 2 sliders and they come with french fries or you can request cole slaw. The gyro is pretty large and also comes with fries. There are drink specials such as margaritas and sangria. The prices are in the $ 5 – 7.00 range-a good deal. The food was good. Although there is a sign that says«loud music» our group was in front of the singer and the music was just right and enjoyable. The only problem we had was the sun. They had an awning outside that would have shaded it but it apparently blew off in the storm so hope they replace it. We ate inside as it was warm outside when we got there but it got cooler as the sun dropped. The service was good-there were plenty of wait staff. There is a bar you can sit at inside with a pretty stained glass ceiling above it. It’s a great place for a happy hour and a good value in my opinion. I’d definitely go back.

I think it’s only been opened three weeks or so… interesting place… don’t think it’s quite found it niche yet??? Bar staff very friendly, music a bit too loud. The Somberano(spelling?) range of appetizers are pathetic… can’t see them being on the menu in 3 months time? Beware: Cougar stalking ground.
