I was in Tucson on a business trip and needed to get something to eat for lunch. I was a little nervous when I realized it was a truck stop but it got really good reviews. It took 15 mins for one of waitresses to greet me. They both reminded me of sloths from the movie Zootopia!!! The food was ok and the food portion was on the larger side but I will not go back.

Absolutely worst experience in this town. Food was cold and horrible. We were at the rv show and figured what the heck, they cant screw breakfast up that bad. WRONG. our bad. Never wasting another dollar there. On the way out we were told what did u expect … we expected edible… nothing more… not a huge reach for the bar set lol the fat guy taking money up front was as rude as the food was nasty.

Great location conveniently of I10. No wait to sit down, free WiFi, and great food. Solid meal of soup, fries, ribs, and a roll for 10.99, can’t beat it. Travel channels #2 place to stop for 18-wheelers.

The food is good, the prices are fair, and though the Decour is a flashback to days past the place is very clean. The waitstaff is our friendly. It is truly a truck stop with great food

Mega breakfast spot! Four of us stopped here for breakfast. Each of us had a great breakfast. Eggs were perfect, bacon great, sausage patties were big and good, pancakes perfect and get the deep fried country potatoes! Highly recommended breakfast spot if you like«truck stop» cuisine.

I absolutely love Omar’s Café in Triple T Truckstop.(TTT) It’s sort of a long drive for me so I try to make it at least once a month. I have tried a lot of the items on the menu but it is large so it might take me another year :)) Omar is always polite and welcoming. Angel, the busser, is an extremely hard worker and always keeping a smile on his face! My all time favorite server is Amy! She is defiantly a gem in this café… You’ll usually find her working in the far back of the restaurant. Coffee is great Food is delicious Pie is yummy

The Denver omelet was something that I didn’t think any self respecting restaurant could mess up. Well this was a unfortunate disappointment that does truly degrade the rating for this establishment. Claimed to have ham, really, I should have noticed any sort of meat. It’s very easy to mix bell peppers and onions with eggs and spill the concoction onto a grill. This is not an omelet, it is eggs with bell pepper and onion. I won’t be having breakfast omelets here again, truly disappointed for claiming to have the best breakfast in Tucson.

Stopped here for lunch I work just down the freeway. It is your typical truck stop diner. It reminds me of when my family would stop at truck stops on our numerous road trips. I had a French dip and chicken noodle soup it was tasty and delicious. I wanted to try the other foods especially the ones they showcase on Food Network but I was not feeling well so didn’t want to taint my experience. Overall enjoyed the experience. The waitress only checked on me a couple times but I’m not one to complain about that sort of thing. I like minimal service at restaurants.

Always good always fresh always yummy. May I suggest the Chorizo Con Huevos, Mr. G’s Roast beef heaven, the Reuben and save room for Deep Dish Hot Apple Pie. Ask for an extra dish just for the ice cream.

I give it one star for the mere fact that they have hot coffee. They need to remove the ‘chef’ from the sign.

Oh my, Tucson! How could some of you sing praises of Omar’s Highway Chef in good conscience?! Simply calling this place a «greasy spoon» doesn’t go far enough to communicate the greasiness of the situation at Omar’s. Walked in and past the cashier/greeter(?) without any acknowledgment from him whatsoever. Seated ourselves without trouble and quickly noticed the strange brew of peculiar patrons giving their usual stink eye stares. Creepy! Commenting on customer service in a truck stop diner is a waste of time. Let’s just say the nicest and most attentive service was given by the lady who brought our waters and recommended«anything on the menu». Ordered a burger with fries and an open face hot roast beef sandwich. While both were technically edible nothing was outstanding or memorable. Went home with a weird funky feeling in my gut and head. Will not be back. Ever.

You may notice I have gone down a star from my previous review. It’s not that the food quality has gone downhill. Not at all! It’s still everything you could want from a greasy spoon dinner at 11 at night and more! However, slowly but surely, the service has been getting worse and worse. There is one server in particular who we always get stuck with, and I don’t know if we come in near the end of her shift or what, but I have never felt so unwelcomed in a diner before. Last time we went in, she was talking loudly about my husband, friend and I about how we STILL weren’t ready to order(about one minute after we sat down), and pointing very blatantly at us. Seriously, lady? This restaurant isn’t that big. And you’re not doing much to keep us from hearing you berate us. Again, the food itself is still delightful. The Texas Milk Toast is awesome, and the chili and bacon are, thus far, the best in Tucson! I am a really big fan of eating here, especially when I want something a little more Mid-Western, like biscuits or corned beef hash. But because of this one server, I’ve found myself less and less inclined to eat here. Now, this isn’t to say the service is always horrible, or that this is a standard for them, but it IS the standard when I am here. This was one of our favorite after-work, I-don’t-feel-like-cooking joints, and since work ends late at night, I’m always here late at night, and I’m always stuck with her as my server. Maybe it’s better in the day. I don’t know. All I do know is that I used to be here every couple of weeks, but my frequency has been dwindling because I’m pretty obviously not welcomed,

Had a mid-day breakfast here of Chicken Fried Steaks, eggs, hash browns & toast. Service was pretty bad. My coffee cup sat empty for several minutes while I tried in vain to get my server’s attention. The food was just so-so. The sausage gravy had very little sausage and a faint sweetness to it that I wasn’t fond of. The hash browns were barely cooked, and I really like mine crispy. The chicken fried steak was terrific though, and the portion was huge.(Honestly, there was enough food on the table for three meals.)

I’d heard about this place for quite a while from different people. I was in the area, had some extra lunch money and thought, why not? I wish I’d gone somewhere else honestly. Nothing special as far as I’m concerned. I had a Reuben that was fine with fries and a soda. Between all the gossip of the staff and lack of atmosphere I felt foolish for ever wanting to venture in. I’d heard the Food network or someone had visited and they received accolades for something. I should have followed the signs. No seriously, the sign touted the Apple pie.

Food was ok except for the greasy hash browns. When I told the waitress they didn’t taste well she offered to have new ones made. The prices seemed over priced, 2.50 for coffee seemed super high to me.

Debra, aka Princess, was the best waitress ever! She anticipated what we would need and brought it to us before we asked. The food was delicious and plentiful. The prices are very good too! We haven’t been there in many years, but we will be back soon. :D

I was not too thrilled with the food. Typical truck stop food. Don’t know what the hype is about Chef Omar. I mean, who is he? The first time me and my fiancé ate there we had to leave cause the place smelled like cigarette smoke. Disgusting! The good thing about this place is the apple pie with ice cream. Other than that I wouldn’t eat at this place even if you paid me. Funny thing is I live near this restaurant

As a child, we ate here often including taking out-of-town guests here. I come from a family of long-haul truckers so I know truck stops and their food and atmosphere. I hadn’t been here in years due to living on the other side of town so when I found myself and my kids returning from Vail, I was excited to go there with them for dinner and share the history — that’s where it all turned downhill. The restaurant was not busy and we were instructed to seat ourselves, we went into the back dining area(usually where families, travelers, and locals go) and the room was a mess — most tables had plates on them still and hadn’t appeared to be cleaned in quite awhile. The floor had tons of food spilled on it. I brushed it off thinking maybe we had just missed a large rush and they hadn’t had time to clean yet. My son ordered a burger, my daughter ordered a salad, and I ordered the Mexican combination plate. Our teas were all refilled timely and eventually the dining area was cleaned. While waiting for our food, a large cockroach climbed over our booth and began running along the wall. I called the waitress over and showed her, she shrugged at me and said«it happens» and took her shoe off and smashed it. The body fell onto the floor and she walked away and didn’t even pick it up. I gathered our belongings and started to walk out, this obviously wasn’t a place to eat anymore for us. When we were walking out a man at the register asked for our bill to pay, I told him what happened and his only reponse was«Are you going to pay for the teas or what?» Not returning, ever! Sorry TTT, you are not the same!

I had a salad and it was just okay. It came with three huge carrots instead of carrot sticks :-/ I wish it had been made with better lettuce and not iceberg. My 4 year old had the spaghetti with meat sauce, I had a taste be thought it was yummy!

Disappointed. I read the reviews and was excited to try some home style cooking. However…frozen is a better word. I ordered the catfish… still cold in the middle. Breading was overpowering and I could not get the horrible taste out of my mouth. The server clearly new I did not like it. She said not one word. The only reason I gave two stars was because the kids loved the pancakes and my coffee was always full.
