Orbital Evolution

If you haven’t heard of seen Orbital Evolution, you must live under a rock, but I;m pretty confident that their LED hoops would shine through any rock. Anyway… Orbital Evolution is Tucson’s only hula hoop troupe! What does that mean? Well, their a performance group that specializes in hoop dancing. They use special LED lit hula hoops, regular hoops and event fire hoops to put on a rockin’ and mesmerizing performance. The first time I saw them I was instantly captured. It’s so beautiful! And then I had to have them at an event and Orbital Evolution put on quite the performance at one of my special events. They also operate under another name called Cirque Roots, which is the acrobatic/​acro-​yoga side of things. So, you’ll see them dressed in costume walking and performing on stilts. It’s pretty awesome.
If you want to learn to hula hoop like these rock stars, you can! They teach classes and host hoops jams at their studios. It’s clearly a good workout because these hula hoopers are super fit.

Orbital Evolution is Tucson’s hula hoop troupe. This group does amazing hoopdance performances — they are very talented and entertaining. They perform with day hoops, LED hoops, and fire hoops. They also teach classes for all ages/​skill levels and host the occasional free hoop jam. I’ve been participating in their weekly Thursday drop-​in class for about a year, and always learn something new. It would be fun to see some new faces in the class (hint, hint). They always have hula hoops you can borrow (or purchase — yikes, I think I have about 10 now!). If you get hooked, I recommend purchasing your own hoop (s) and the hoop punch card (the card will save you some dough). The punch card costs $ 35 for five classes, or you can pay as you go, for $ 10/​class.
