Love all of the Pita Jungles I’ve been to except this location. The food is excellent as it is at other Pita Jungles, but there are a few issues with this location: 1. Wait times — I’ve been here several times and have been ignored both times. No one’s interested in getting you seated and will ignore you until you either show you’re not going to go away or you ask multiple times. I’ve even tried to call in a to go order and was left hanging on the line for 7+ minutes before I hung up and called back in and still did not get help. 2. Staff — disinterested hostess, manager can be heard cussing and is surly and uninterested when I spoke with him about the lack of hospitality at his restaurant. Not sure who owns this place, but the manager and staff here are not doing he/she any favors. I won’t patronize this location again.

Came with friends. Great chill spot to grab lunch outside on a hot day. Not authentic or great Mediterranean food. Got the Hummus trio, jalapeño hummus was great. Got the gyro on Lavosh bread. Was very dry and lacked flavor unfortunately. I would go for the hummus and prob a different dish.

I have to say that Pita Jungle truly cares about their guests!!! They went the extra mile to ensure that a return visit would be great! They did not let me down! Went into the Oracle Road location today and our experience was wonderful! The service was excellent. Our server Joshua was attentive and friendly. I ordered the Medenchillada and it was pure heaven! The wrap was nice and flaky and crusty. The whole thing was two meals in one! Taste was superb!!! Very happy we gave it another chance and extremely pleased with the attentiveness of the customer service who reached out to us. Thank you!!!

The food was delicious but unfortunately they took over 1 hour to serve our food. We did have a large group but it should never take over an hour for your food.

Good, quick food. Service was very good. Portions are generally quite large. Prices are good, especially considering the portion sizes. The potatoes were super crispy and delicious!

Pita jungle is really hit or miss. Their grilled chicken and vegetables are really good as well as their humans trio. But everything time I have tried something new it’s either been good or not so good. Service is ok. Their hummus trio prevents then from getting 2 stars.

I was here on Monday and the manager was yelling at his employees and saying they needed to be faster and that they needed to run their own orders because he didn’t want to. The servers were all doing great. Horrible management! For working in walking distance, I will NOT be back!

Love this place! I’ve been to several Phoenix Pita Jungles and this one is amazing too. The interior is modern yet the ambiance is laid back and casual. Vegetarians have lots of options here! My boyfriend loves the shwarma and always orders it. I love the chicken Lavosh pizza! I ordered the Lavosh shwarma this time and it was good but make sure to order some tzaziki on the side since it’s kinda dry by itself. For an app, we had the tri-hummus with sirloin. Basically it was a sampler of all 3 of their hummus and sirloin on top served with pita bread. Delicious! Pricing is reasonable and they also have beer. Great casual date place. They also offer to-go ordering.

I wanted so bad to like this place, unfortunately our food and service were both bad. My husbands gyro was bad, no sauce and cold! Mine was just ok. We had to wait 20 min for a side of sauce. We had somewhere to be so we had to leave with his food not eaten. Manager was very nice, apologizing and taking my husbands food off the bill. He even gave us a $ 10 gc for later use. Unfortunately we won’t be back to use it. Waitress was very inattentive and unfriendly.

I come here a few times a month with my friends for happy hour. Now they have good food and great happy hour prices for select food. Downside they don’t have a real bar. They are very limited on what they can make and even make some drinks completely wrong. Also the last two times I have been here I ordered something and never received it but was still charged. Not sure if that is a communication error between the front staff and back but none the less it’s annoying. It is a nice place for a last minute happy hour which is not super busy.

I got the chicken shawarma and it was so dry that it was not edible. The service was awful. No wi-fi was available. My dad had the fish, which was not fresh. The lemonade was pure sugar. 1 star because it was nice to sit outside by the fire.

This is my first time here and will be my last. The service is absolutely horrible and it seems like the staff is completely clueless. I hate saying negative things but working in this industry I expect a certain level of competence and unfortunately Pita Jungle does not deliver.

‘Pleasantly surprised’! Having ran restaurants in the past, I can assure you, your eye wanders to check everything out from the atmosphere to delivery of the product. Pita Jungle came highly recommended not far from Davis Monthan AFB. 1) You’re greeted instantly. The smell, appearance and courtesy of the immediate presentation is amazing. It appears very up to date, fresh and even has a attractive bar with T.V.s. 2) The waiter was prompt, social and exact. The food came incredibly quick, appealing to look at and freshly prepared and temperate. 3) Delicious! With judging restaurants, I assure you, this is a dream. The food quality was astounding. I had the Salmon burger and it was perfect. You can screw this up and dry it out. The savory spices and garlic were perfect. 4) The atmosphere was very enjoyable, the restrooms impeccable and the service was the caliber of a fine dining restaurant. Great if not excellent in reality. I would ‘highly’ recommend this place, I will return and now have a favorite spot just north of the Air Force Base. KUDOS to the management here! Cheers.

My wife and I came for an early dinner and found happy hour tapas. Ordered an entre and some tapas. Was disgusted that a half eaten greek olive was on the tapa plate; told the server, she told the owner Dan and he said that I was wrong, that could not happen. I asked to talk to him. When he told server«he was a little busy» then I insisted and he finally came out. It wasn’t that big a deal, he made it a big deal when he basically called me a liar. We won’t ever go back.

The food was delicious and our waitress was nice but we could hear the owner/manager arguing with a customer. Then we heard him discussing his drama to some of the staff. Totally unprofessional. Our poor server was the only wait staff for the entire restaurant/patio. The rest of the staff was in the back. When there was a shift change many of the employees looked like the cast from breaking bad(tweakers). There was something very schetchy about this establishment, although the ambiance is asthetically pleasing.

Would NEVER have guessed that the quality of food and ambience would be so good. I mean, I’ve heard good things about the brand before but have never had the chance to go in myself. There are alot of middle eastern/Mediterranean food options in the Detroit area but this is like a healthier version of all that ethnic good ness. My falafel wrap was bountiful, nicely fried and super delicious; one I felt good after eating and not guilty. The garlic potatoes were a good accompaniment but not necessary as the pita was enough food alone. My dinner companion was happy with this shawarma pita as well and commented on the nicely seasoned chicken. The strawberry kiwi green tea was a bit strange at first but grew on me after a few sips. Service was good and basic. The bar and seating is impressive — can’t wait to come back!

had a B1G1 entrée deal so we had to check it out. Their chicken nachos are some of the best in town. They have pico and whole white beans. Olives and chunks of grilled chicken breasts. I always get something that is served with the tatizki. The dip is the best here! The kids menu is very heathy. I wish more places served turkey breast and cucumbers. He bar is a nice set up and surprising there are always people ordering a drink there when we go. The service is Always exceptional and they even have art for sale on the walls. We have also eaten on the patio. It’s beautiful.

Food is excellent. The prices are about what they should be. I haven’t been disappointed yet here. The service is a little unpolished as others have indicated. But they work hard and are very friendly. Food always comes out timely as well.

I’m not that fond of this location compared to the North side. Not sure what it is, maybe because it’s much larger and open and doesn’t feel quite as quaint and friendly? The service here is lacking but the food is just as good. They don’t have the flower hot tea that they have at the other place here either. However, I love their huge wooden bordered mirror they have hanging on the wall. Whoever picked that out has great taste, it’s gorgeous. I think all in all if I were rating just the food I’d give much higher stars. The last time we stopped in there was practically no one in restaurant and the staff were somewhat oblivious to the fact that customers were there, they were unfriendly and the experience just wasn’t great.

How could the service be any worse? Unsure. Poor drink service. The food sat on the warmer for 45 mins. Multiple reminders. No apologies(none!). Awful service which is a shame because the food looked awesome. We left to go to Olive Garden. OLIVEGARDEN! skip it if you want to eat.

A couple of clients mentioned this place was pretty good so I was fine as Im pretty cool with Mediterranean pita places. They also warned us that service here could be quite slow so I was prepared to have a so-so experience for lunch. We arrived and I liked the place as soon as we entered. Very well lit and a nice décor with glossy, glittery pictures of cats and other strange things on the wall. They gave us a huge table for our party of 9 along with a big vase centerpiece lol. We started out with two big plates of hummus(roasted red pepper, jalapeño and regular) along with cucumbers and pita bread. The jalapeño hummus was the show stealer as expected as it was delicious with a slight kick to it. There were 2 pita’s that I was very interested in: The Chicken Shawarma pita and the Philly Steak Pita. I am a huge chicken shawarma fan, but could not resist the Philly. The Philly was so delicious that I don’t recall ever sitting it back down on the plate… yeah it was that good. The service was stellar as we never waited a long time for anything and they kept the water glasses full. I assume whatever service issues they had in the past have been addressed. Good place here and I look forward to going back on my annual work trip to Tucson.

What a refreshing change of pace from my normal go-to spots. I was heading to the pool with a friend and we wanted some lunch to take with us. Neither of us could decide where to go so she suggested PJ and since I had never eaten here before I quickly agreed. I was surprised that their menu was so large, I guess I just figured how many pita options could there be? Well a lot. We settled on gyros, the tomato, basil, mozzarella combo and some drinks. The food was very good! The gyros came stuffed with meat, a good tzaziki, red onion and a surprise pickle. Pitas were soft and perfect. The tomato app was good and fresh too. I tried the tropical black tea which was very refreshing on this hot day. All in all everything was great, I was a little surprised at the price tag but once I ate the food I’d have to say it was worth it.

I really love the food here. So many healthy choices. I love the lavosh shawarma wrap, the hummus trio and my favorite is off the featured specials menu(I hope they keep it permanently) hummus with sirloin and it’s best with the hummus trio. It’s so good. I could go on and on about all the choices here, but the best thing to say is that you can’t go wrong with anything you order. The service is good and I love the atmosphere here.

This is a great place for a lunch get together. Shared the day with sister and friends. Large menu, lots of choices. Big servings. So far so good. Tasty dishes. Meh. My Gyro was not like a real Greek gyro but was plentiful with lamb, salad and tahini sauce. Also a bit bland. The Cauliflower with caramelized onions was what I was craving for. Read some of the Unilocal and really expected a succulent dish. Was disappointed. Dry and pretty bland tasting. It seems they have a great selection for Happy Hour with some really $ 2.00 dollar dishes to choose from. Everything seemed fresh and healthy as they claim. The menu is very varied with pizzas, wraps, A mix of different salads. Healthy types of burgers like portabello mushroom. The place is clean, service good. Outdoor seating if you want that. All and all it’s worth a try.

Came here for lunch last week and I thought it was pretty good. Really nice place, good service and a pretty vast menu. Now there are far better Mediterranean Tucson restaurants, but for a chain this place is fine. I had a gyro and a bowl of curry type soup and both were above average. My girlfriend had a chicken shawarma and she enjoyed it too. It’s rare that a chain delivers this kind of quality. We will return. Most likely when we are in the neighborhood.

This review is for their happy hour. Three dollar draft beer that includes Dragoon IPA is awesome. The food is going to have good ingredients and flavor. The happy hour apps are inexpensive and small. Service was ok. There was a foul odor pretty much the whole time. And my pita bread was old and very tough. Sorry, that is unacceptable for a place with pita in the name.

I love going to a place that I’ve been to a couple of dozen times and finding something on the menu that’s new, I’ve just never seen before or maybe I have just been too damn cheap to order. Now that being said, PJ’s food is definitely Mediterranean… ish. So, when I saw the very Indian Chicken Tikka Masala on the menu, I was definitely curious. I am no expert on Indian food and I’ve only had this dish once before in a very authentic Indian establishment so, trust my opinion if you dare. If I had to gauge the authenticity, I’d probably say they took some liberties, either with their recipe or with their interpretation. I tasted a plethora of spices as well as coconut, which makes me think more of a curry than Tikka Masala. I’m calling the flavor, Med-Ind-Thai-rraean. Overall, I did like the dish and would order it again. As I said in one of my previous reviews, I am hardly ever surprised and rarely impressed by a restaurant dish. PJ did it again with this dish. They also did their own usual Mediterranean flavors proud with the spanakopita we opened with while waiting for my daughter to join us. OK… so here’s where you really need to pay attention. My daughter is not an adventurous foodie and doesn’t normally like to try new things. She LOVED the spanakopita. For all I know spanakopita translates to «where have you been all my life». Just order it. You can thank me later. Seems like I may have missed out on some things in the past, mostly because I was so focused on the happy hour and tapas menu. I really need to stop being so cheap, although I still love their happy hour, especially the $ 3 draft beers, which now includes Dragoon IPA. See… they’ve even got the local flavors covered!

I wish we had a Pita Jungle in NYC. This is a casual spot with some great Americanized Mediterranean food. I ordered the quinoa salad with the cilantro hummus. The cilantro hummus was great — I wish I could have taken some home. I sat at a table outside and did some work for a few hours and was not bothered at all. I’ll definitely be back if I am in the area.

I LOVEPITAJUNGLE! This place is totally hip, but not pretentious. Yes, that exists!!! Upon walking in, we were greeted by a very friendly chick. We opted to sit out side on the patio which is very spacious, well lit, and had misters! The menu has a variety of meat and vegetarian options, but not so much where it’s overwhelming. Out server was really nice, but she took a while to take our orders. Totally understandable as her section was SWAMPED. I can’t remember the name of what I ordered, but it was delicious. It was a DOLPHINFRIENDLY tuna salad with pita bread. So yummy. To drink I had the kiwi green tea. TRYTHISWHENYOUCOMEHERE. YOUWONTREGRETIT. Also, the prices are very reasonable. If you want a filling, healthy, fresh, and refreshing meal, Pita Jungle is the place to go. I can’t wait to come back!

The food portion is huge! My friend got mechilada – the Mediterranean twist on enchilada, and it was a towering amount of food! My absolute favorite is always the hummus trio with pita bread, and it is a stand-alone meal in itself. I always get the spicy chicken wrap, big and tasty. PJ is also very good at splitting checks and filling your drinks. It is more than just the food!
