Planet Beach

Being an Asian mixture of Chinese and Vietnamese comes hand in hand with having very pale skin. Although I love my fair complexion, there are times when I want to be tan, such as at Vegas pool parties. Mystique tans make this possible without the damaging UV rays from sunbathing. I found a great Groupon deal and was able to make a last minute appointment on the day of Halloween to get my mystique tan. By the time of the Halloween party that night, I had a nicely developed tan that lasted and did not streak for days!
What makes Planet Beach different from the many other tanning spas I have been to is that they have a new system that sprays you from 4 different angles to create a more even tan. Additionally, the place was very clean and service was friendly. Highly recommended!

Very clean and friendly atmosphere. The gentleman at the counter was very helpful (I am sorry, I forgot his name) –_​{ and the Owner Amanda is a real sweetheart. I accidentally left my necklace in the pocket of one of their robes and forgot about it until it was too late to save from the washing machine monster but she (and all her employees) really made an effort to find it, going thru every nook and cranny of the place. They did eventually find the cross in the rubber crevice of the washer but the chain was a goner.
Anyway…Apparently this is a franchise and although there are only 2 in the County (the other is in Oro Valley) they do not offer all the services that most do, So, I was pretty bummed about that but went ahead and got a membership anyway.
It is not some place you would want to replace your usual Spa with but it is great for those in between times when you don’t have a lot of time and need a quick pick me up or pampering. I love just having it available for a massage and/​or facial after my workout. As I have fibromyalgia, working out is extremely crucial to keeping my muscles from atrophying, and reducing flare ups, but let’s be honest, there are days when no matter how much you know that work out is going to help you and keep your pain level down, you just can’t push thru the pain, or you just don’t have the energy. That is when this place becomes my lifesaver. Instead of going after my workout, I will go beforehand and 99.9 percent of the time I leave feeling stronger and more energetic so that I can actually do my workout. I highly recommend this place for anyone that deals with chronic pain from arthritis or fibro. Bonus: you walk away with really great looking skin! And silky soft! Don’t let all the 20 something’s going in for a tan (they have Sun beds and Mystic spray) scare you off. This place is really perfect and comfortable for all ages.
They have several plans to choose from, and they are all very affordable. The hours make it very easy to fit it into your routine even after work. (no, not before work :() They even have an app for your phone with coupons for different products or services. example: on Tax day I got a free hydrotherapy massage.

Fantastic place. Good value for the services you get, regardless of which plan you choose. The massage options are awesome considering they are like automated beds and not a human masseuse… they really do a great job of getting some of the tension out of your body. I kind of like it better than a human because I don’t have to feel awkward not talking to them.
Great tanning options, whether you do UV tanning or non-​UV tanning. The far red infrared hydration saunas are fantastic for your skin and overall health. Same for the infrared facial machine.
Owners Corey and Amanda are unfailingly friendly, very willing to get you in last minute if they can, and they keep the place incredibly clean.

The people are so nice and each station is it’s own little spa. They don’t jack up prices for water which is so refreshing in our quarter extra world. The tanning beds are the best I’ve been in, I’ve been tanning on and off for about 6 years and I’ve never seen results so fast. The hydration station is the coolest thing in the world, I swear my stomach has started to deflate after only 2 uses. I went on a groupon but I will definitely be buying a membership. PS the teeth whitening is not included in membership.

I had gone to other Planet Beach facilities in the area by visit not membership. They were OK. I was looking to use a Far Red Infrared spa. Most places in Tucson and Phoenix I found charged a dollar a minute. I called a couple of Planet Beach locations and they were not familiar with a Far Infrared Sps. At the suggestion of one of the super helpful Unilocal Community managers I found out this location did have what I was looking for. I called them and they were super helpful, knowledable, and friendly. I did get a membership this time and go 3 to 4 times a week. I primarily use the Infrared Spa, Jade Stone massage table, hydro massage table and the hydration station. The facility is run by a courteous staff that truly feels like they want you to get the most of their service. Always frendly and accomodating and the facility is super clean. I say run don’t walk and get yourself a membership and take advantage of the great services they have to offer.

Ah, where all my «tan beach babe» dreams come true. I’m probably one of the few Mexicans on this planet that can’t get a legitimate tan. After years of enduring sunburns and bad tanning bed decision’s accepted my fair skin… most of the year. From time to time, a tan does a body good, so I opt for the Mystic Spray Tan. I’ve been coming to Planet Beach for a couple of years, and this place is the best in town! Not only because their awesome Mystic machine basically guarantees you won’t have a Ross Geller experience, but the owners Corey and Amanda are extremely sweet people and they are total customer service rock stars. They remember you, they are always welcoming and always accommodating. For those who prefer the tanning bed, they have those too! They have several levels of strength and they also have various spa treatments available, including a massage therapy bed, a massage chair, a sauna, a hydration pod, UV Facials and teeth whitening. The list goes on! They have all kinds of packages available. I recommend this Planet Beach location to anyone that likes to get their tan on; whether it’s UV or Mystic. I’ve tried the hydration capsule once or twice and it’s an experience worth trying. I’m not discipline enough to keep up with all those treatments, so I stick to my Mystic Tan when I’m feeling a little ghostly.

I have been a member here for years and years and although i don’t go as much as i would like, i LOVE it.
They have really nice tanning beds and I love the hydration station.

This is an awesome tanning salon and spa! They have a sauna, individual hydration «pods», two kinds of massage machines, 3 different type of tanning machines — two beds and one stand up, a chair massage machine, UV facials, teeth whitening, and Mystic Tan! After a long day at work, I love to first get a massage, the hydromassage really gets blood moving again, then a hydration pod for 20 mins, then a Mystic Tan. It always feels great to pamper yourself. I recommend getting a membership if you end up going all of the time. The staff there has always been friendly, polite, and classy! I moved across town and can no longer go, and I am already having withdrawals! Cory and Amanda are the best! :)

I LOVE THIS PLACE…
It is a one price per month — come as often as you wish – and receive the services that you desire kinda place. The staff is very pleasant and helpful and provide guidance as to how the machines work and what order to do the sessions in. It is a relaxing way to spend an afternoon. Highly recommend.

I’m so in love with this place!
I don’t do UV tanning, so I was interested in the spa services and Mystic (non-​UV spray tan). They explained all the services so well. Still, after I signed up for a membership, I left thinking «this may be the biggest gimmick I’ve ever fallen for.» NOT SO.
After only 2 sessions in the hydration bed/​capsule thing, my skin was softer than it’s been in years. The LED facials are a great deal for the money and my skin is loving them. Hydro massage bed is awesome. Mystic tanning is also a great deal for the membership cost and looks so natural on my normally pale skin.
Everyone who works here is so nice and helpful. No pushy sales pitches on anything. I go at least 3 times a week for services and it’s such a nice relaxing way to de-​stress for a little bit, plus the changes I’m seeing to my skin are remarkable. Joining Planet Beach was a great decision.

Owners are great! I love all the services they provide, facial, therasage (massage), Hydro massage, Hydration (steam the entire body except for face) in a capsule, infrared sauna. I can spend all day there, if only they’d let me and I had the time. Haven’t really tried the tanning but I’m sure it’s wonderful.
