Great food. Great service. Fast friendly and would highly recommend Friday night fish fry(which you can also get grilled) new chef. New atmosphere. New chef. Well done.

I’d been hearing that the restaurant and more had been upgraded and it has. Tonight I just had an appetizer and a drink during Happy Hour and the atmosphere is good. The restaurant new and clean and nice décor. A combo of high bar tables, and seating at the bar along with TVs makes it a good place for casual food. There are also tables in multiple places for more of a quiet atmosphere, some with views of the mountains for a slightly nicer dinner. I saw golfers, couples, and a couple of families. Very friendly and efficient servers. My appetizer of meatballs was great as was my craft beer. I’m waiting to give 5 stars when I eat a meal there. We will soon. They also have entertainment too some nights. I’d ignore any of the old reviews before late 2015. it’s a completely different place.

Pretty decent place with a large menu ! Service was good and friendly. I have no complaints ! The chicken quesadilla was good as well as the Greek wrap.

Update! Went to dinner tonight and possibly one of our worst dinners, food and service included. Having to ask the waitress, the same that has been horrible every time we’re here, for a water three times is just ridiculous. Apparently the kitchen was down to a BBQ grill only but the waitress said she had no clue what was going on and the manager never once stopped by to give an explanation or apology. Here are my recommendations for the grill: 1. New management. 2. New wait staff. 3. New management. The food is always pretty good. It is overpriced, but we live in the neighborhood so it’s worth the extra cost. If the management doesn’t change, the grill will close eventually. Again… NEWMANAGEMENT and WAITSTAFF! We really want a good restaurant in our neighborhood.

If you haven’t been here recently it’s a completely different experience. There are some very delicious new entrees on the menu(I recommend the sea bass). I was skeptical after having been here a few years ago, but I’m sold, I’ll be back.

horrible service and messed up all our orders, I mean horribly, they gave us ham on our sandwich instead of the turkey.

We eat here at least twice a week. Chef Rick has upgraded the food to five star status. We love the convivial atmosphere and friendly service. The drinks are great, the soups are stupendous and the steaks are the best in town. Friday fish fry is always fun. Try it you’ll like it. We are so happy to have a great restaurant on the east side. Keep it up 49’ers !!! Dr. and Mrs. Ledingham

Love the pizza here! Great to-go meal. The fruit salad is my favorite dine-in meal. Specials are always good. Sometimes a little tough to find staff, but if you flag them down, they always seem friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately the first thing I noticed when I walked in was the extremely musty smell of old carpet. This would usually turn me right around but we were meeting another couple so we stayed. We were waited on right away, the service was very good all through the meal. The food was also very good. The place has an identity crisis. Are you a sports bar, several large tvs and loud bar tenders? Food and prices are really not sports bar like. If they want to be a destination restaurant the space needs a make over, and soon. I’ll try it again, but if it still smells I’m leaving. I want to smell garlic and onions cooking from the kitchen. The Ravenous Roofer

After reading a review about Happy Hour here, my husband and I thought we’d check it out. We stopped by at lunch time on a Saturday and found our way to a table on the patio — there was a posted sign at the hostess station. We had made contact with one of the servers upon our arrival questioning about the availability of a table in the shade. She informed us that«they» were still there. «They» turned out to be one man who had pulled his chair a bit aways from the table and was chatting with another group. This went on for the duration of our stay. Okay, so the customer was rude, but as time went on it became apparent that the«usuals» certainly get treated well. There we sat for 15 minutes. Sat while one(female) server chatted it up with all the male customers — likely golfers. Sat while the original server came in and out of the space with tabs. We were not invisible, by any means. The servers had to walk around us as they moved around their favored guests. After it seemed like the regulars were wrapping things up, one of the servers asked us if we had been helped. Nope. She disappeared. The other server approached a few minutes later and also asked if anyone had helped us. I replied that in the 15 minutes we had been sitting there while she walked past us, no one had helped us. Upon her denial that she had seen us, we decided it was time to leave. To wait that long without a menu, a glass of water, or an acknowledgement was lousy service. To then lie to us was the last straw. We know the golfers comprise much of their business. We know their frequent business deserves attention. What the restaurant doesn’t know is the potential lost today by ignoring«outsiders.» We wanted to like this place. We’re in our 60’s and have never walked out of a restaurant. We have guests coming all winter and thought this would be a great location to have dinner. They’ve lost a lot of potential business.

The Rincon Grill at 49ers is undergoing a transformation under the leadership of Chef Rick. It is now a wonderful choice for informal yet delicious dining on Tucson’s east side. Check their specials for real bargains. Ribs are outstanding. Friday fish fry is now the best in town.

I just saw Adara Rea perform there tonight and it was outstanding! The food was great but the songs and the beautiful music that she played was out of this world! she plays the guitar and banjo and knows every song from many songs from many eras. She is a beautiful young lady with a very special talent! If you live on the eastside this is the place to be and if you don’t live over here it is worth the trip!

Oy, I’m so conflicted about how to review my local restaurant! I love Rincon Grill because it’s close to my house, and it’s locally owned, and there have been occasions where I’ve had a great experience. But then there are the few times where it’s been a really rough experience! Like several months ago, where I popped in on my way home from work(too tired to cook for me and my 2 year old while my hubby was at work). We waited for 15 minutes without anyone even acknowledging us – it’s not a large restaurant, and there were not many people seated(and definitely were servers walking around). I was so frustrated and disappointed, and frankly angry because by the time we walked out without a single offer of help my kid was creating a scene because he was starving! It took about 3 months before I would venture back. This time it was a weekend, and during a slow period. My server was good, food was good, a generally good experience. Why can’t it always be like this? There was one instance where we picked up sandwiches to go. Even though we called ahead, he still had to wait 15+ minutes for them to be prepared. By the time my husband got home and looked inside, they were the wrong sandwiches and the fries were cold and soggy. We called back, and the offered to remake them – now the correct sandwiches, but still awful fries and the sandwiches were not much of an improvement. A few weeks ago we ordered a pizza, and it was great! Delicious. Service was a little disorganized and slow, but at least the server was friendly and apologetic for the long wait. I really want the Rincon Grill to be successful, and so all my stories are shared with the hope that, while great improvements have already been made under the new management, the improvements continue. They really need a good manager there, to help train the staff on customer service, organization, timing of orders, etc. The food also needs to be consistently good, even on the days when the head chef isn’t working. It’s come along a good ways, but there’s still a ways to go. But I will continue to visit, and update my reviews – hopefully with good feedback!

Great food and service too. Chef Rick is fabulous and I have not found one item on the menu I have not thoroughly enjoyed. Try Tues nights under the pavilion with lovely live acoustic music. All you can eat Friday Night Fish Fry is a great night as well. SO nice to have such a great choice on the east-side of town! Right inside the Forty Niner Golf & Country Club makes for some great ambiance as well.
