Sonoran Spa

I was very impressed by the receptionist as she was able to squeeze us (three women for mani/​pedis) in that same afternoon. A nail tech stayed late to accommodate us, which we were super appreciative of. They also honored the coupon featured on Unilocal.Our pedicures were spectacular! My only complaint on that front is that I did not receive the chocolate scrub that my mother and friend received :(And unfortunately, our manicures left much to be desired. I got solar nails with vinyl luxe on top. Somehow they didn’t dry properly and came out looking streaky and caked on. I should have gone with my gut and gotten shellac on top, but there were extremely limited color choices. My nails cracked, broke off, and had to be repaired at another nail salon a few days later. Despite this, my nail tech was quite pleasant and gave a great pedicure. My friend’s nails were streaky and the color didn’t extend to the full nail. She was also disappointed by the shellac color selection. It was overall a lovely experience! We very much enjoyed the private room. Just a few minor tweaks needed.

I went to the Sonoran Spa for the first time yesterday — I was in Tucson on business and a friend had recommended that this Spa was a must-​go (even though I wasn’t staying at the resort.) When I drove into the resort I was immediately on my way to relaxation … the long driveway thru desert landscape was beautiful and you feel like you are far away from all the hub bub of downtown Tucson. Once I parked I found the Spa where William, the Spa Director, greeted me personally and toured me around. He was really nice and explained I could use the pool and fitness center as well if I wanted (YES! I wanted — I’m from San Diego and it was really hot ;)
On to the good stuff — Karin (sp?) picked me up from the relaxation area and brought me in for my massage — she was soft spoken and very professional and her massage was AMAZING!!! This place is a true sanctuary away from it all and I would recommend it to anyone — local or traveler! I will be back!!!
