I’m a coffee snob and Tucson has plenty of places to scratch that itch. That said, for a Starbucks(huge qualifier there!) this location is my favorite in town. Easy parking, nice redesign on the interior, good crowd of regulars, and plenty of seating all make this location work. It’s the closest walkable coffee spot to my house, so it gets a visit from time to time. And it’s even saved me once or twice when I’ve run out of fancy third wave beans from EXO or Café Aqui.

I have come here often, especially in the evenings to study. What I like most about this location is that the staff is courtesy and there are many outlets to plug in my electronics while I am studying. The main table in the middle of the location has a lot of space to accommodate many people, or for a few people to sprawl their stuff. There are small alcoves inside, and they have outdoor patio seating. Another nice and interesting feature of this Starbucks location is that it was approved for its liquor license a couple months back and now serves beer and wine in the evening. They even offer free wine-tasting for an hour or so Thursday nights. As I mentioned earlier, I usually come here to study. The ideal time to go when there aren’t a lot of people is around 7⁄8 pm. Although the Unilocal website states they close at 9pm, they actually extended their closing time and this Starbucks location closes at 10pm.

Great service! Tim adds that personal touch that is so often lacking in today’s coffee shops. Wide variety of snacks at this location, too. Very pleased!!!

For me, the perfect location on way into the University, with early-opening hours that fit my schedule well. Wifi is great; the place is bustling but still a good place to work. I like the large communal table. I find staff to be efficient, if not overly warm. This location(sadly) benefited from the closing of the very-popular Ike’s Coffee down the street, but staff do a great job keeping the line moving. They have a Clover machine; I tried the product once and the product was excellent. They’re now applying for a liquor license. Liquor doesn’t seem what a Starbucks is all about, I’ll be curious to see how it affects the character of the place. I ding them a star only because interactions of the seemingly-ever-changing staff with customers is a bit stilted. The staff’s friendliness seems disingenuous, as if derived more from a directive in the employee handbook than a genuine appreciation of their customers.

I don’t usually gush about customer service, but I’ve not met a snarky or disaffected barista here. Period. Everyone is super-chill, efficient and friendly to boot. They absolutely rock — over ANY Starbucks I’ve visited(in at least 12 states AND Puerto Rico). Thanks for always being great. Oh, and making a kick-ass cup of coffee too! Thank heavens for Clover!

I go here all the time, so I’m tempted to change my profile pic, but that is sans integrity, so I won’t. Now while the workers here are NOT sans integrity, they are sans training. This place is so busy, their drive-through line is always hanging out into the middle of Broadway, which indicates to me that they need to go faster. I usually just go in, where they’re speedy enough, but understaffed, understocked, and kind of lazy about putting enough ice in my coffee and the like. Something Starbucks has going for it is friendly service. I mean, almost always, almost everywhere around the world, Starbucks has friendly service. These kids are friendly and one once gave me a courtesy beverage when he took way too long. And they are kids, from the university, of course. But someone needs to check out this branch and take it up to par.

This is one of the Starbucks that makes you sooooooo glad you can now order from the app! The people are normal customer service workers. Over worked, short staffed and under paid in sure as it shows in their work. This is not one of the fun hang out happy people Starbucks. The building is nice, the lay out seems backward and causes a lot of congestion. And there for some unholy reason is always a line out the door! I have never walked out of a star bucks before getting coffee, the source of my life. But I have here. It’s just not worth the wait… They take forever! Coffee is coffee. But if you go here order from the app it’s going to still take a while. But it’s less than waiting in that line!

Overall friendly staff(except for that one snarky chick), fast service on slow days, slow service on busy days, and they get my drinks(if not my name) right. Not crazy about the location, but parking isn’t too bad. I’m here a lot and am glad it’s so close to uni.

wonderful Starbuck’s; friendly, kind, and cheerful staff! this one has a really nice coffeehouse vibe, and of course excellent coffee. being a Seattle native – i count on you. That said, i can’t give them 5 stars mainly because, Mr. Schultz, refuses to provide vegan pastry to go with the coffee, that’s not the fault of the sweet people working here, tho’. it’s 2015, Howard, times have changed… in business one leads or follows. the adage ‘change or, die’ comes to mind. Starbucks could go the way of Winchell’s by refusing to adapt to the tastes and ethics of its customers. the people working at this shop are skilled, friendly, energetic, and it is they who set this one little Starbucks above the rest. this is a nice neighbourhood shop with a laid back vibe. i’ve been impressed by the cleanliness here; often even the best shops can’t get their employees to step from behind the counter to wipe tables. here, i haven’t had to ask them to clean a table or, give me a rag so i can do it myself. thank you, so much, for the way you treat me and my service dog! $€;)

This Starbucks was modernized about a year ago, or so. I cannot recall to the exact. It’s a huge improvement. The renovation ate up a substantial part of the patio, but there is still a patio nonetheless. No bike racks from what I could tell, but it seems the popular thing to do among the locals is to simply lock your bike to the barrier bars creating the patio space. Inside, this place is usually a madhouse. The line is speedy. Quicker than most other Starbucks in town, it seems. But be ready to wait for a place to sit. It seems this is the central meeting place for students and retirees looking to socialize. I have even seen people receiving math tutoring here, and you will sometimes see folks crafting. They keep heavily stocked, and even sell berries and bananas. WIFI is über reliable. I have never had trouble on that front.

They do many things well here though they are not a level 4 store(yet). I give Starbucks credit for trying to be like local cafes, but it is a passionless effort because a massive corporation can NEVER be a local café, for obvious reasons.

Now that Ikes is gone there are not many places to hang out over coffee nearby, but I had to meet someone here once and I’m glad I did. There’s a huge table that can be used for groups. I was ready for a discussion on race but I was the only minority in here for the hour I stayed.

Service is fast and friendly, they always have you in and out quickly so that you can start enjoying your drink. This is my closest and most favorite location in Tucson. This last year they had a remodel and it looks beautiful. I have never received a less than great drink from any of the staff even during a busy rush.

This location rocks! The staff here are very friendly, knowledgable, and attentive. Parking around the place is abundant, which is always a plus. And as for the seating arrangement inside, this might just be the most spacious and accommodating one in all of Tucson, rivaled perhaps by the El Con location.(They recently remodeled this location a few months ago, and it’s gorgeous. In addition to a relatively large patio out front, there are at least 20 seats available on the inside, with 4 of them being comfortable leather lounge chairs, as well as seating along the coffee bar.) Perhaps the most appealing thing about this location is the Clover machine.(I’m told this is the only location in town with one). What is a Clover machine? Essentially, it’s a machine calibrated to brew the perfect cup of artisan coffee, hot or cold, and with various settings for each type of roast. It’s a fancy and quite expensive machine, but it definitely makes some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. Think of it as Starbucks’ top of the line coffee, «craft brewed coffee», if you will. It’s a little more expensive than a standard cup, but it’s worth it!

Newly remodeled and friendly service. As part of the remodel, this location got a Clover machine(single brewed coffee) which is cool for Tucson. Given its prime location at Speedway and Country Club, its very busy, but the line moves fast. There is outdoor seating and free wifi for the non-summer days!

This is one of my favorite Starbucks in Tucson. The staff has always been super friendly and the baristas make great drinks. It’s been busier than usual since the remodeling in July and since the new menu items have been added, and that’s my only complaint. The staff level is the same, but there are more customers. Even though they seem short-staffed, the baristas who are there work hard to make wait times less. They’re fast and efficient… and the management must be good because some staff has been there for years. Kudos, too, on how polite the staff is even when faced with truly awful customers. There was one the other day who made everyone in line grit their teeth. Yeah, I’m talking to you, Mr. Blended White Mocha Caramel with six shots, four pumps, extra whip and caramel on the side. You were a complete dipwad who not only demanded that you didn’t have to pay extra for anything, but then after you browbeat the cashier, made the barista make your dumb drink twice. We ALL wanted to throw you out the door… but the staff was more Zen than we were.

I mean, it’s a Starbucks, amirite? You know what you’re getting yourself into when walking into the arms of that ever familiar green mermaid. I do want to comment on the efficiency of the staff in the mornings. I often drop by here before work when it is super busy. However, the line goes by super quick. I have often been the fifth to sixth person in line and I’m in and out in less than 5 minutes. Awesome. This staff is doing a great job at getting me to work on time and caffeinated!

I feel like if you’ve been to one Starbucks, you’ve been to them all, at least as far as food and drinks go. But I have noticed the fruit in the protein boxes at this location seems to be generally fresher than at the Starbucks at Broadway and Campbell. I did order an iced tea one morning, and they were pretty quick considering the line. My real reason for giving this Starbucks 4 stars? They spelled my name right without even asking. I know this might not seem like a big deal to most people, but I don’t think I’ve ever had anyone do that my whole life. Two of my best friends share my name, and even they spell it with a «y». It was a small vindication that I am the one who has been spelling my name right all these years.

Again and again, Starbucks on Country Club and Speedway continues to amaze. My favorite store in Tucson, I will go through any lengths to go out of my way to this store. Consitency, Friendliness, and promptness make this Starbucks a shining jewel. I have been coming to this very location for 5 years and I’m stil a loyal customer. Keep up the good work! Tip: Lots of students come here, it gets pretty packed and hard to find seating after around 2PM. The outdoor patio is dog friendly!
