Stein Mart

This is the first time I’ve been into this Stein Mart. I took my mom along and introduced her to the store. She loved it! And I know we’ll be back.
This is a discount store, but set up on a higher scale than most of the others around. It is definitely cleaner and more organized. It offers items for almost everyone. We found stuff for a young teen, a woman in her mid 50s, a man in his 40s, my mom, me and some other stuff like kitchen items, pet items, etc.
I’m a big fan.

Yuck. I know department store have merchandise for specifically ethnic shoppers. I can understand to a point. I am not understanding their MO for this particular store. I didn’t check men’s wear which might be OK. No need for ethnic distinctions for a man’s suit. Right!!! However, the women’s dept. leaves me questioning who choses the merchandise for this particular store. Obviously there doesn’t seem to be a need for some chic stylish attire. It seems it’s just for the older totally not cool who likes elastic pants and also made of seersucker. Come on, get a little more adventuresome and give the East Side of Tucson something more for their style. Even if we are in our 60’s, 70’s and 80’s we are still pretty darn cool.

I’ve never been in a Stein Mart before this one was built and opened a couple of months ago. It reminds me of its predecessor in this location, Mervyn’s. But it’s a lot cleaner, with a lot better quality merchandise.
They have a good selection of clothing and shoes. Their home goods section isn’t very extensive, but there’s some cool decorations to be found. Their seasonal section was also a bit small, but they had some unique items that were really nice. They have an excellent selection of coats and women’s scarves. Holy scarves! If you can’t find a scarf you like at Stein Mart, I don’t know what to tell you. They have a lot to choose from!
The prices at Stein Mart are very fair. You can get some nice pieces of clothing for extremely reasonable prices. I like places where I don’t have to spend a fortune to feel like a normal person who’s just out for a small shopping spree.
The store was new, so clearly it was quite clean. Hopefully it stays that way. The staff has been very nice. One of the employees who was ringing us up was clearly very nervous, but he was trying to do a good job, so I applaud him for that!
Basically, walk around Stein Mart once in a while. You’ll probably find something you want!

I went to this store recently, and I was so impressed that this store was very organized! The cashier was very friendly at that time I visited! I was so surprised that it was not that busy on Sunday at 12:25PM. The prices are reasonable! I just bought a business collar for work and it was only $ 24.99. The orginial price was $ 55.00 Good deal :-)
