Stelcor Energy

Stelcor has now filed for Chapter 11 protection and all complaints that I have filed are still pending with no response from Stelcor. I suspect I will not get any response other than they filed for bankruptcy, which doesn’t resolve the attempted lien on my home.

Only because there isn’t the option to give less. Started out OK, but after initial progress stopped communicating — but didn’t stop drawing on line of credit. Now office is vacant. Fortunately, they didn’t start work on my project so my home is intact. And, credit company is crediting back amount taken by these folks. Have filed complaint with BBB, and checked status of license with AZ ROC — license is suspended. It is suspended in New Mexico too. Run far and fast from these folks.

Signed up with these guys in June 2014 and was told that every thing would be up and running by November 2014. here it is Almost April 2015 and the panels were just installed while I have been paying for them since November 2014.
Part of the loan set aside was for me to remove trees in my front yard and that there was money allocated in the loan to take care of the cost all I had to do was send them a receipt. I went ahead and payed to have the trees removed and sent in the recent over 2 months ago and haven’t been reimbursed yet!!! Finally got in touch with some one and they told me that I wasn’t going to get my money until after the panels where turned on and Stelcor got their money.
I would not recommend this company to anyone, there are a lot of solar companies to choose from any would be better then these guys.
The contractors that they sent out were bad, the guy that came out and put in the Nest thermostat hooked it up wrong then hard wired my AC to be on all the time which burnt out my condenser this last winter. the guy that came out to put in the pool pump installed a defective unit and offered no support to get it replaced (more money out of my pocket)
then some guys came out to re work my AC ducts and damaged the Spackle in my living room. my god the list goes on and on.
Been trying to reach Stelcor for over a month now, been on hold for hours and left several messages and no on has responded. I have been royally SCREWED by these guys!

We were contacted by Stelcor in Sept and signed up. We signed the contract in Oct 2014. We were told our install would be in Jan 2015. Fallon was great and pushed very hard to get the paperwork signed.
She now won’t return calls or emails. Terry, the Project Manager was layed off and apparently Stelcor has pulled out of Portland, OR.
Why would someone in Tuscon care? Because if they won’t return our calls, they won’t return yours.
We have everything but our panels installed. We were told for 2 months they were on back order. We’re now making payments on an incomplete system.
We’ve filed complaints with the BBB and the Oregon Attorney General. Don’t waste your money!!!

My wife and I had the pleasure of installing solar panels through Stelcor Energy. We had not seriously considered solar energy panels before, since they were very expensive, but their representative was aware of many incentive programs spanning the full spectrum of agencies involved. We were required to post no money up front, and the construction loans were structured to take advantage of the various incentives as they paid out. There was no interest charged for the loans, and if we had selected a minimum number of panels, we would have had almost no out of pocket expenses at all. In our case we opted to install more than the minimum number of panels, so there was some additional cost, but it was VERY reasonable.
The panels were high quality, and the installation team were knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We are extremely pleased with how the panels look on our house, and others must also be pleased as well, because several other houses in our neighborhood are choosing to install solar panels as well. We would recommend these guys in a heartbeat! Thank you! It was a great pleasure doing business with you!
