The vegan offerings at Subway are rather meager. I’d prefer sprouts, tofu, sun-dried tomatoes, and such. One of my daughters loves Subway for a quick sandwich. Because of her, I’ve been to a lot of the Subway restaurants in Tucson. Compared to other Subways in town, this one was cramped, dirty, and poorly stocked. They needed to fill their veggie bins, were out of guacamole, and didn’t have lids for cups. The tables needed wiped, and floor is long overdue for a meeting with the broom and mop. Daughter said the sandwich was good. That’s most important, and they got that right. We arrived at noon on a Saturday, and we were the only ones here. For this location, they could do a lot better.

First and foremost, Subway is Subway. That being said, the staff here don’t turn over that quickly, the service is always good, and it is definitely better than your average Subway. It’s Subway, but the food and service are above average. Go out the side door and enjoy your sandwich on a picnic table.

This location is #1 all around. The employees go above and beyond in friendliness and the sandwiches are always just perfect. I like how when you order online they write on the wrapping which sub is which. The 2 fellows working today were genuine and chipper. Actually put me in a better mood. There was a girl working a few days before Christmas all by herself with a huge line being questioned on and on why she was the only one working that day and she held her head high and handled the rude gentleman with up most courtesy and got through the line with a smile. Thanks for being here Subway :)

I remember a time, long long ago, when Subway’s bread didn’t suck ass. It had texture, it had weight, it had flavor. But those days have long passed in the never-ending quest for places like subway to save 3 cents on each sandwich ordered. Ok ok, its Subway. Everyone’s been there, most of the time not by choice, but they know what the food is like, and they know its mediocre at best. Jared didnt loose eight thousand pounds by winning a flavor contest, obviously. But hey, you go in, you know what you’re gonna get in one of their sandwiches, and you eat it, and you’re full. That pretty much sums up the satisfaction levels involved here. I wanted to try the new oven crisp chicken thing – sorta – and pretty much everything else around was closed at 9:30 on a Sunday night, so I strolled on in. The place was clean, the staff were friendly, no problems there. Price was OK. Theres really nothing special about the oven crisp. Its kinda like a really huge chicken nugget on either half of your sandwich. Heavily processed, infused, chicken-like product in some sort of bread-like coating. And although they were cooked thoroughly in the oven, there was nothing crisp about them. I call false advertising. Anyway, I ate the sandwich, it filled me up and was a decent substitute for dinner. I dunno, I guess Im just spoiled by Mr. Goodcents who has good bread, fresh cut meats and cheeses, and(with a Unilocal check-in) is cheaper anyway. Subway used to be good enough for me, but it just isnt anymore unless I really have no other choice. Ill end on a good note though and mention that this location offers the veggie patty, which outside of NW tucson, is hard to find.
