U-Haul Moving & Storage at Davis Monthan AFB

The folks at Golflinks and Wilmot were great however Uhaul overall was not. Reservation experience and customer service reserving was abysmal. I reserved a 26 foot truck at the Choo Choos site on Collossal Cave Rd Vail, AZ. I confirmed and completed early check in with my credit card almost two weeks early for an 0800 hours pickup. Two days later I received an email saying the site was changed to Rita Road at 1200 hours. This was further for me but I adjusted my plans. The day before my move I get a call from Uhaul saying the new pickup is now at Golflinks and Wilmot all the way across Tucson by the Air Force base. After explaining my frustration and explaining the situation I was told the best they could do was switch the mileage rate from .99 to .59 cents per mile. I asked to speak to a manager but the rude female on the phone stated she was the manager and there was nothing she would do to alleviate the extra burden added by Uhaul’s poor planning, scheduling or coordinating. The day before an already stressful move all I got from Uhaul was added expenses, a longer drive and complete lack of customer service. The pick up location staff was great but again the reservation customer service was awful. I’ll no longer use Uhaul and will not recommend it to friends or co-​workers.
