Window Depot

In the past I’ve purchased windows and sky lights from Window Depot without issue. That changed when I decided to replace an entry door. When I ordered the door and gave the measurements I stated that the height must fit within an 81″ opening. The door was delivered with a height of 81 7/​8″. The staff at Window Depot was incredibly unhelpful and rude in resolving this problem. After several phone calls initiated by me they finally returned to pick up the door. No further information or communication was forth coming. I initiated a follow up call after 10 days had elapsed with no communication. The clerk who answered the phone was completely clueless. According to her the original clerk had gone on vacation and his notes were vague but that she would research it. After another day elapsed I finally received a call back from her stating the door was sent to their shop for adjustment and would be delivered the following week.
The door was delivered. However it was not without problems. They had cut the door down but neglected to reinstall weather stripping. The frame has numerous scuffs, dents and scratches that were not remediated. When the shop screwed the threshold plate back to the frame they angled the screw and the point exposed through the support post. After the terrible experience from trying to get the door size adjusted I had no desire to further engage them to resolve these deficiencies. The contractor I hired to install it commented about how poor their service had become.
All in all a terrible experience. Pathetic customer service and below quality workmanship. Shopping local burned me this time. I cannot recommend Window Depot and will be using a big box store for any future door or window needs.

Great company to buy windows from. If they ever refer you Trejo Installations ask for a different installer. Trejo doesn’t keep to their appointments or call you to tell you they are going to miss them.

They were so busy, which is a great sign. What impressed me was, when they had a few too many customers waiting at the counter, they called for backup (I don’t take this for granted anymore due to all the bad service experiences I’ve had). The extra help came promptly. Peter was very helpful.
They located my 4 channels and gave me a slip to pick up from the workers in the back. The 2 gentleman in the back, I believe their names were Billy and Devin (sp?), were SO courteous and pleasant. This is something not seen often in construction businesses — it was unexpected and refreshing.
Obviously the owner or GM has trained their staff incredibly well — kudos to all of you, and we will be back.
