For being the«World of Beer,» they seemed to have a rather small selection on tap. The beers they did have on tap weren’t anything special either. Now, I know everyone has a different palate, so you may think otherwise on their selection, but that’s how I felt. I didn’t really look at their bottle choices, so I don’t actually know if they have a hidden gem in there, which is why I do want to go back and give them another shot.

I joined a group of people for beer on the patio, and couldn’t take it. WOB ruins what could be a nice view of downtown by blasting terrible music. Some of the music was OK, some I didn’t like, but it was all far too loud for conversation. Whenever I’ve walked by since, it’s been the same. Maybe they think people will hear the music from far away and come running over, but that wasn’t happening.(Does it ever?) I didn’t stay, and won’t go back.

First night out in Tucson and we started our evening out at WOB. The service was a bit lacking, took 15 minutes just to get a beer. I asked if they had Ginger beer and the waitress had no idea what I was talking about and tried to offer me a ginger ale. Once explained she eventually came through and I had a delicious and slightly spicy ginger beer. I was there with a large group celebrating my cousins birthday. The food looked good but we were only there for cocktails and beer. My party enjoyed their cocktails and the waitress helped us out by snapping a couple of group pics. I will have to come back and try the food(and have another yummy ginger beer) to see if they can get bumped up a star on service and quality.

Good beer, good food … lousy service. I arrived in anticipation of a few friends. Got menus right away. Waited. Waited. Waited. There were few others in the bar. Went up to the bar to get a beer and friendly female server assured me she would bring my beer to me. Once my friends started arriving, they ordered drinks and food and got decent service. At one point, I ordered some food. Later, while waiting for the food, I ordered another drink. And I waited. Other people had ordered with me and got their orders, but I didn’t. This was a slow evening, not too many others there. Eventually, one of my friends flagged down the guy who was being dutiful in busing tables and told him about my food order. And I waited. Eventually, the female server came back and I reminded her about my beer order. And we waited, till she brought it back. So we reminded her about my food order. It was about an hour until I had my tater tot appetizer. No big apology. No break on the bill. Bad service. Someone in my party had been waiting on my appetizer to decide whether she wanted anything. She chose not to order any food. We won’t be back.

It’s noon on a Sunday. There are 11NFL games being played right now. World of Beer proudly displays a sign outside announcing great happy hour specials! But wait, why are there only 4 people inside??? Two years ago I came here on game day and the place was packed! I walk inside curiously. Surely this must be a mistake… this place easily seats 50 people. Why isnt anybody taking advantage of this happy hour??? I ask the bartender. He says we’re early for happy hour… it starts later. 10:00pm later. On a Sunday. I wish I were joking, but I’m not. This place used to be great for football… what happened? The bartender seemed not to care that all of his former customers were enjoying football elsewhere.

I didn’t eat food while at this location so this review is not comprehensive. I did however have a few beers. If you prefer bud light above imports or smaller Brewers this might not be the place for you. They do however have bud light and miller light if you so choose(like some guy sitting outside did while I was there) There is a multitude of great beer on tap, which is only dwarfed by the unbelievable bottle selection the world of beers(WOB) has. From multiple countries and a myriad of styles the selection is as the French say, «f’ing huge!!!» This huge selection is paired with some of the most knowledgeable bartenders in the area, especially when it comes to beer varieties. From sours, stouts, lagers, pilsners,(the list continues) they will find the drink that hits the spot. They also sell hard to find beers and fill growlers. Within walking distance to the two downtown theaters a great place to pregame!

I have got nothing but great service. Ask for Eric! Good selection of beers and the outdoor patio is a great place to relax and hangout with some friends. Also a great place to watch games! I love the giant pretZel with the cheese. Go during happy hour and you really get your money’s worth

Hadn’t ever been to World Of Beer before but we were looking for a restaurant where we could watch the game so alas we tried it. After sitting for over 10 minutes completely unattended I decided to leave and head to Diablo Burger instead! Never going to World Of Beer again, I work in the customer service field and I have a fairly large threshold for this kind of stuff because I can relate, but after seeing that they were not particularly busy and appeared to be staffed I was truly disappointed at the mere lack of acknowledgement. I realize it’s a sports bar but a certain level of service is still expected.

Yea for football and yea for WOB for playing the games! Went this past Sunday to watch the Steelers. It wasn’t crowded and service was quick, efficient, and pleasant. Beer list is extensive and wonderful! I stuck to what i know and had the Barrio Blonde. Love that beer! For food i ordered the hummus wrap and fries. Wrap was good minus the onions. Loaded with red onion! Fries were meh. They were undercooked. All in all if you love sports this is an awesome place to go to watch multiple games at once, order beers you may have never heard of and eat some bar food. The End.

Sooooo good!!! My boyfriend and I just got out from court and we decided to grab lunch downtown, we had never tried WOB so we split a flatbread and a turkey club and got the beer of the month. Our food was so delicious and our server was such a sweetheart I believe her name was Katelyn. We will defiantly be back

Service here is very inconsistent. Also, my Fresh Squeezed IPA was served at a temperature that did not seem appropriate. The patio here is the main draw, with a great view of a central intersection of downtown– perfect for people watching. They also have ample TVs for watching sports.

Been here a few times, both as a bridge between a few other local bars on Congress. Lots of beer selection, some pricier than others. Always sports on, which I really like. Indoor and outdoor seating, which is nice in Tucson. Food’s ok, nothing great(that I’ve yet found) and the service has always been good. Seems a little too trendy for most students, so they weren’t clogging it up even on the Saturday after classes resumed. Not a bad place overall.

The number of beers on tap gives it potential, but it needs to overcome mediocre food and just plain awful service to make me want to return. I was able to get beer from midsized MI brewery in AZ and steak sandwich which followed a hip gastropub like formula(want to be one, without spending money on a chef). As for service, it was so bad it prompted me to right a review. I visited on a quiet week night, maybe total of 5 groups in the restaurant /at the bar. The bartender seemed more interested in chatting up one of the other groups than tending bar, couldn’t get attention for second beer, good 10 minutes. After explicitly asking for the check, I had to explicitly walk over a hand him credit card before he took action, again busy chatting with other group.

I had a great experience this time. The service was very good. They helped me find the best beer for me. They do have a decent selection of beer. Disclaimer:I only had beer. If I had food, I would have probably been not as satisfied. In summary, WOB is a good place to try a wide variety of beer.

Good selection of beers on tap and in bottles. But that’s about all this place has going for it. The food is mediocre at best. I ordered the reuben sandwhich with fries and a salad and everything was very bland. The fries were under-seasoned, lukewarm, and featured a crisped jalapeño surprise that had likely fallen off of another dish that I did not order. The salad lettuce was wilted and tasted old. Service was very spotty and the staff seemed disorganized and confused. The TV nearest to our table inexplicably played a constant stream of infomercials, and when we asked if it could be changed to the preseason football game that was showing on other TVs throughout the bar, we were told that this was not possible. So we settled into sipping our drinks and eating our bland food while enjoying an infomercial about hot tubs. Oh and did I mention the downright bizarre and obnoxious psychedelic rock band that was playing on the patio? They were… well, I just hope they’ve got day jobs. I’m a music-loving guy, and really enjoy when bars feature live, local talent. But these guys were just really not doin’ it for me. There’s a very small outside chance that I’d go here if I wanted to try a few beers that I’d never had before, but even that’s a stretch considering its proximity to so many fantastic local bars and breweries. Club Congress, Tap & Bottle, R Bar, Saint House, Scott & Co., Borderlands, Riley Pizza & Beer — they’re all within walking distance! If you’re in the area, you could do a lot better than World of Beer.

Casual bar with TONS of bottled and on-tap beers, so if you’re a beer person this is your spot! i have to say though the crowd is a bit on the older side LIVE music on friday & saturday plus i saw a sign advertising karaōke & trivia on other nights! need to catch a game? they also have TV’s for sports NOTE: they have both outdoor and indoor seating & you seat yourself

I’m probably the last drinking-age male out there that hasn’t jumped on this craft-beer craze. I could honestly give two hoots about a $ 8 beer that was crafted by some beard-wielding gnome on the river delta of the Nile. I’m a simple guy who is fine with a Budweiser. With that said, I tried some different beers and I still could care less about special beers as such. Pretty bartenders. Nice place. But the only reason I’d come back is if someone drug me there and at that point, I’d order one of those giant pretzels again. Those were the bomb. I personally give it a 3-star… but I can’t fault the place for what it is so it get’s a 4.

Interesting place in a way that you don’t usually mix unique craft beer together with sports bar. But on game days, it feels more like a bar than a place to try out nice craft beer. Perhaps is the best combo? Hipster vs. jocks

I’ll give this 3.75 stars based on the comprehensive beer selection. It’s in a great location right at the heart of downtown Tucson. They have high rise tables a bar in many big tables to accommodate all types of groups. The beers on tap rotate seasonally and they have a huge book of what they keep on stock in the fridge. If you’re craft beer lover this is the place to go. If you want to try something new and only want to try wanted to time this is a good place to start. The wait staff is friendly and staffed with mostly local college students. Service is something to be desired as sometimes it’s not is quick getting beers as it could be. They have revamped their menu and have several good food selections. I would stick with the appetizers they are wonderful. You have to try the handmade pretzels with the beer cheese. It can be quite noisy during the later hours sometimes they have live music in the crowd that goes with it. I like to start my night off here with a good craft brew and see what else downtown has to offer. Faves: local seasonal brews and the pretzel with beer cheese.

Okay i waited to post my review because the first i went to WOB it was a few weeks after it had opened and it was a packed night so it wasn’t all that great. However last night was great! We had somewhat of an eclectic crowd and everyone in our party of 8 was happy! We had an amazing waitress, she was attentive, sweet, and had the funniest stories! I wish i could remember her name to send her some major kuddos but it is WOB and after 12, third, 4 drinks its a little fuzzy. Thursday is karaōke night and that is always fun with friends. They serve food late and there beer selection is amazing! Thank you WOB we came to have a good time with friends and celebrate and we did exactly that with no complaints! (oh the only thing is there were a ton of crickets on the patio– and i hate bugs)
