Highly disappointed only because I placed an phone order so that I wouldn’t have to wait– we spoke about the exact time I would be there to pick up(actually I was 5 min late based on my prior experience) & they gave part of my order away to someone else! COMMUNICATE! Tell your employees what is happening so customers who have an expectation & don’t get what is expected become frustrated. I like the food but the people need some serious training.

I don’t know why they give a two star. The service is excellent and the food is the best fried chicken I ever ate. We buy chicken from here when we want fried chicken. Just try it and you will understand what I mean

I went to buy a 2 piece meal and a half gallon of sweet tea. I asked the cashier if the tea was cold and she said no because it is brewed. I asked for a cup of ice and she said there is an additional 75 cents for the cup. When i stated that ice tea is supposed to be cold and therefore I should either get my tea cold or with a cup of ice, she offered me a 6 oz cup. I buy a half gallon of tea and have to refill my cup a dozen times? I said never mind and walked out. Thanks Church’s Chicken.

I am surprised at all the good reviews, I have been here a number of times(shame on me) they are ALWaYS out of butter, and low on chicken, so there is typically a crowd waiting for chicken to cook, they often short me on the count, so now my wife always has to stand and count the chicken before we leave. There is a creepy guy staring from the kitchen as the front sinks in there own incompetence. Steer clear, the manager here should be replaced.

Eewww. Eewww and more eewww. I would not eat at a place that lets transients hang out all day, all night without ordering anything. And the smell alone made me gag. I’m just surprised since they opened up a year ago they don’t want to cater to paying customers and keep the restaurant clean. It hurts like hell that I had to put one star as they deserve 0 stars.

Once again, Church’s is tolerating transients camping in their parking lot. Do NOT go to this restaurant. They’ve already been shut down once and once you see what’s in the parking lot you will understand why.

I’ve been here a few times. More recently ever since the KFC in la canada closed. The chicken is your standard Church’s chicken. You can get the original or spicy and they also sell fish. There’s a decent amount of seating if you plan on dining in. The only major fault of this place would be the workers. Not very on top of it sometimes. But the chicken is great if you’re craving fried chicken.

WARNING Do Not Eat at this place!!! My boyfriend & his brother had take out from here last night. The chicken tenders were not cooked well, 2 large cokes tasted like club soda, he asked for some sauce & didn’t get any. The worst part of it all is they both woke up a few times in the middle of the night to throw up & had diarrhea all day today. My boyfriend is feeling very sick his body is heating up, hopefully it’s just a food poisining and nothing serious. This place is very disgusting and no one should waste there money and eat here. The customer service sucks & the food is horrible! I would not recommend supporting this establishment. Definitely need to report this place to the health department.

As a Service member they were good here and always provided the 50% discount for us back 3 months ago and was very to happy to visit them again after a long training away from home but today they refused and denied it even with the proof of an Military ID. Quite disappointed and came back empty handed

I wasn’t excited about them replacing the KFC. And then they gave my cousin pink chicken and refused to replace her order. That on top of how rude they were, I can’t bring myself to eat here.

Not bad. The KFC in LaCanada closed… a true existential crisis when craving artery hardening fast food chicken! But fear not for me ye lasses! I discovered a Church’s. Not much on ambiance BUT food was fresh and tasty. The counter help was very friendly and the place was very clean! What more can you say. Btw…the honey butter bisquits rock(don’t tell any one but I had two!!!).

Hubby went by to try them out one more time. Why are they closed at 6:30pm on a Wednesday evening when their business hours say they’re opened from 10:00am-9:00pm? Are they permanently closed?

New place in Tujunga, not far from home, replacing the former KFC. A change for the better. Stopped in last week for lunch and went nuts with the sides-mac and cheese, okra, biscuits and kohl slaw. All were fresh and prepared well. Counter service went quickly in spite of busy lunch rush. I will be back.

For food, I give 4 stars. Much better than Popeyes or KFC. Their spicy chicken actually is bit spicy. Love Church’s jalapeño popper and biscuit. Cajun rice and fries are good. They need to improve or restructure their service. Only reason for 3 stars is that their system sucks. Last time I went they gave me a wrong side and there was another customer who came back for her missing item. Time before that they forgot my biscuits and gave me wrong sauces and while I was waiting, there, 2 customer came back for their missing items and 1 customer had to remind the cashier that she did not get her lemonade then was given a sweet tea. Seems like their system of sticking up receipt is not working. As others mentioned there is no support for cashier who is taking order and filling order when one of 2 – 3 people in the back can easily help out with food packging(like in every other fast food place) when it gets busy so cashier can concentrate on taking order. So expect to wait even when there’s no one in line. Cashier is busy packaging the food. They have online coupon as well as mailer, and I like it far better than KFC on Foothill and Oceanview(worst KFC or any type of chicken place I’ve tasted) and better and closer than Popeyes, so I will definitely go back but definitely I will be checking every item down to sauce packet before I leave.

OMG. My husband and I totally got food poisoning from this place! I am really bummed because I wanted to like this place and did while I was eating, but it’s the after that dictated this one star review. My husband got the 3pc mixed meal with mashed potatoes. I got the 4pc strips with fries. We also got the Cajun rice to try. It could’ve been any of these items. I really love their biscuits! Anyway, we ate around 7:30PM and about 2 hours later, we both felt nauseated. I had major need-to-go pains too. Sorry TMI right? But it’s true. I still feel queasy just thinking about it!

First time trying Church’s Chicken… and I’m thinking it’s probably this particular location that fails? I hope??? == FOOD == We got the spicy fried chicken, and I was pretty shocked at the condition of the chicken. It was pretty much 60% skin that’s been overcooked and 40% meat. Should be the other way around if anything, ratio wise!!! The taste itself wasn’t bad, just wayyy too much fried skin and not enough meat. Got the corn on the cob side and it was average, not as good as El Pollo Loco’s. Cole slaw was average as well, not as good as KFC’s. == SERVICE == SUCH incompetent girls working at the counter. Makes one wonder, are they still in high school, and this is perhaps their FIRST job ever? Even so, it’s a poor excuse. When I arrived there was already a line of 4 – 5 people. Took maybe 15 minutes to get to us. Wtf? Reason being, the cashier couldn’t figure out how to get the machine to take the credit card payment, etc. They didn’t seem to seriously want to fix it either, just giggling and flirting with the guys in line. When it came to my turn, they simply could NOT understand how to take a simple order. «Oh we ran out of spicy chicken» — 15 second whispering with the manager, turned back to us «Just kidding, we’re making new ones until 9PM. Can you wait 10 minutes for it?» Then they proceeded to get both of my side orders wrong; I wanted medium sides, she gave me small for both. At this point, I was too irritated to correct them. Manager couldn’t handle any of the employees working with him, it was complete chaos. Please train both the manager and the employees to be … um, a little bit efficient, a little bit professional? Thanks, and goodbye.

So here’s the deal. The chicken, sides and especially their biscuits are good. Their coleslaw is a bit on the sweet side, but overall? Better than KFC. But Jesus, slow service. Friday evening, one guy up front and the owner preparing orders. They need to get two people that hustle to get the orders ready. The food is already pretty much prepared from what I see, so there’s no reason a simple 2 piece order with mashed potatoes should take like 20 minutes. The owner seems slow, like there’s not an ounce of urgency in him. The grand opening was a mess but I’m not including that in my overall review because I know it can take a few weeks to a month for a new business to get things under control. But overall, you’d think their service would be a tad bit faster by now.

Wow, thank god the gross KFC left that was there before! This s definitely my new chicken spot. The staff is so friendly and always smiling — I don’t mind waiting a little because I know the girls will hook me up with some fresh chicken and fries. I love the new look and the bright colors… I recommend to all the locals! oh and the boneless honey bbq wings are really good.
