Sunland Used Appliances

Called this morning and spoke to a nice guy, unfortunately did not get his name. He went to my parents home to check on their refrigerator. He showed up on time as he promised. Checked it and find out the electric board was gone. He was very nice and advised me to buy a new one since the repair would be expensive. He did not charge anything for his time. He got my business for life. Very honest business. I will recommend their service to friends and family members.

I was very impressed with Sunland used Appliance. They really care about customer service. I got a used refrigerator for an amazing price. I defiantly recommend them. Honest and kind :)

These guys are the best! Been living here over 10 years and if you need appliance repaired they come that day and charge fair prices and always fix the problem. They are really honest and will not charge you for something you don’t need. When I first moved here my new Sears refrigerator died, and Sears charged $ 300. The next time I needed repairs I called Sunland Used Appliances and the repair was $ 55!!!
Also just bought a new/​used stove from them and it looks like a brand new stove and has a ton of features my old one did not have.
Highly recommend them for repairs and used appliances.
It is so rare to find people this honest any more and that is something I really value.

This is truly what a service business should be like! I could not have been more pleased.
I have a standard sears (Kenmore) refrigerator that I bought around 97. This year it seemed to be not running as cold as it should be. I stopped in their shop (after seeing the reviews on Unilocal) and they arranged to come by and look at it THAT afternoon. The man who came by (Sorry, I dont remember his name) spent about 30 minutes here teaching me about my refrigerator and while its pretty old, it was probably just set wrong. Turned out that I had turned up both settings (freezer and fridge) to higher at some point because I thought it wasnt getting cold enough. The freezer setting being turned up actually makes the fridge not get as much moving air — which is what was making it warmer in there (along with summer being warm, etc etc).
So my workhorse of a fridge still has life in it and the very nice guy just taught me a bit about my refrigerator and what I was doing wrong. He even helped me re-​level it properly as it was off. He told me about what is worth fixing and what is not, and really helped me be a more educated consumer.
All this was at completely no charge.
I am not praising this business because I got a free visit and some education to deal with my fridge (though that was a nice surprise). I am praising them because their first focus is not getting whatever money they can from me, especially since it turned out there was nothing wrong with my fridge. They are honest people running an honest business.
Businesses need to make money and profit to survive, so I will surely call them first next time I need such a service they provide and hopefully this review will contribute to directing others looking for such services to call them for theirs. Truly, these people know a lot about what they are doing, they are very nice, and they go above and beyond what most appliance service companies would probably do.
Please consider calling/​hiring them for your appliance needs or repair needs.
PS. Look at the other reviews as well — clearly, I am not the only very pleased customer.
oh, and I also picked up a 6 dollar refrigerator thermometer from a hardware store so I can see how my fridge is doing accurately, and I recommend this — as different parts of the fridge can be different temps.

Fantastic service. I only had a small refrigerator and could finally afford a full size one. I walked in and picked out the one I wanted in two minutes. It looked brand new. They delivered the next day on time and set everything up. It works great and looks great and I paid under 300 dollars for it.

Honest, honest, honest and they give you a free estimate. Very nice people and they know what they are doing. You will save money and not get taken advantage of. They fixed my fridge and gave me double the warranty then any other store would for new parts. Amazing.

Very efficient! I was able to schedule dryer repair for the next morning. The technician was prompt, professional and skilled.

For a used appliance store and between the price and customer service, this place is as good as it gets. I am moving and thought to write this review…
I bought a used washer, dryer, and refrigerator about 4 years ago — with complimentary delivery and free service during the first year — and these appliances have lasted me this long.
— The washer has worked relatively well for about 3 years, minus the recent need to give the clothes an extra spin.
–The dryer unfortunately started to malfunction this year and the heat that comes from it is hit or miss. But, hey: it’s used and inexpensive! So I got what I paid for and I’m still grateful.
— I purchased both machines used at a very low price of just around $ 200+ for the set. It’s saved me time and money over the years from going to a laundry mat so I am very very grateful that these guys are in business.
— The refrigerator matched my kitchen perfectly. Haven’t had any issues at all except that food stored in certain parts of the lower fridge started to freeze. The price was roughly $ 100.00.
For about $ 300+ I was able to get my basic major appliance needs met within budget and delivered immediately. If you are on a budget and looking to spend under $ 500 for relatively short term needs then I highly recommend Sunland.

Min came the same day as I called to check out our non-​functioning refrigerator. I told him the problem over the phone and he said I should buy a new one, but I wanted him to stop by just in case he was wrong. He inspected the fridge for one minute and told me exactly what it would need to fix it and explained why it was not worth it. He then gave me some advice on what to look for in a new refrigerator.
When we get our new fridge he said he will scrap the old one for us. He thinks there may be some parts he can use on it.
I highly recommend giving them a call, they know what they are doing!

While I haven’t been in the shop, I have had Min come out and repair my washer/​dryers for 20 years. He is the best. Does great work, cleaned my dryer just because it really needed it, and his prices are beyond reasonable. The Valley area is his territory, but I did get him to come to Glendale to fix my dryer a few years back. A friend bought a used washer/​dryer from him and was very pleased.
