I thought at first my car battery was old and was the cause of my car dying. This is a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Classic 4.0L straight six with a 5 speed manual transmission and over 307k miles. I had the battery replaced at a Wal Mart in Federal Way, WA on the evening of February 5, 2016 and then I had it charged at an OReilly’s in Fife about three miles later. I was able to drive to work the next day and then by the time I reached South Seattle after work, my voltage started dropping. I had someone jump my vehicle and then I couldn’t drive any longer than five minutes before my car died. I ended up being able to safely pull off Aurora Ave N onto Bridge Way N and then just onto N 38 St near some residences. While I was waiting for my tow truck to get my vehicle, I started making some calls. I ended up calling this mobile mechanic and Sean called me back in less than an hour after I left a message. He gave me a quote a while after we first talked for an alternator replacement, which was only $ 41 more than what a shop in Reno, NV quoted me in summer of 2015. So I called Sean back on the night of February 7 and he came down the next day. I kept in touch with him until he came down, and I let him work on my car here in Tacoma, WA while I went to the eye doctor via public transit. Sean called me again shortly after I left and told me the alternator was worn out and it was delivering less than normal voltage, which was my suspicion. And the amount of $$$ that he quoted was what I paid, and he mentioned that he sprayed a little carburetor cleaner in my throttle body for me as well. He didn’t take more than two hours to get the job done, and he drove back to meet me after I arrived home and I paid with cash. An Ultima generator was installed, which is what O’Reilly’s sells. In the meantime, Sean will not hesitate to give an opinion on any questions you may have for him, and I even called him this morning to tell him about what has happened with my alternator in it’s first 500 miles; he still did not hesitate to give advice. This company also has a warranty to back all their work that is around the greater Puget Sound area, ask about it.

So glad I found these guys! I had made a service appointment in Bellevue at my dealership, but the night before my appointment, while driving down the freeway, my coolant hose burst and so driving it anywhere was out of the question. I found AutoTech2U on Unilocal but without any reviews I had to cross my fingers. Mark came out shortly after I called Monday morning and was able to procure the parts needed and get my van back up and running. The cause for my initial appointment at the dealership was due to my check engine light being on, Mark was able to diagnose that it was on due to a simple issue with the gas cap which he fixed as well. I feel that their cost for a service visit was very fair as well as their hourly labor costs. I will definitely recommend this business to others and will keep their number handy for any future repair issues.
