Firestone Complete Auto Care

The staff here are EXCEPTIONAL! I get my oil changed here, but today was AWESOME! HUGE kudos to Dave who works the front desk when I’m there. My car died today and took it in without an appointment, and they saw me right away. Within an hour and a half they had diagnosed me. Dave went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of and I understood everything that was found wrong with my car. He then had my husband call in to make sure we were both in the know. I can’t express how stellar the service at this particular location is!

Went in for a flat tire repair & oil change today. 1) They were open on Labor Day 2) they offered online appts so that I could secure a slot and not have to wait an ungodly amount of time and 3) the location is so close to my house.
I’ve always been hesitant in going to a large chain due to my past experiences with high pressure sales and awful customer service. Not to mention way back in the day the Firestone brand had made headlines about their poorly manufactured tires, etc.
I arrived for my 9am appt and was promptly greeted and checked in. The waiting area was clean and tidy. My car was taken back in a timely manner and within about 30 min I was advised of the true state of my tires ;(. Throughout the entire explanation I felt confident that Mike was telling me things plainly and professionally. At the time of checkout, they had my car ready before the estimated time & went over everything again as I’m sure I looked unsure & needed reassurance that it all made sense.
And regarding the actual tire & alignment service? I feel like I’m driving a new car! I had faithfully been going to another mechanic for 11 years which wasn’t as good as I thought.
I’m happy to have found a new auto care center that provides such excellent care, service & is conveniently located (next to Southcenter mall) to my house.

Very friendly staff. I came in believing that I needed all new tires (was told this during my recent car tune-​up). But instead, it was just a $ 30 fix. I appreciate their honesty and respectful staff.

I got a flat tire while waiting in the cell phone lot of SeaTac last Sunday (⁷⁄₁₂). I called many places and this location was the only place open. I limped over on my spare tire and they told me it would take 2 – 3 hours, based on current capacity. Knowing that, I headed over to Starbucks and settled in for the long haul. I got a call about 30 minutes later letting me know that they had found a screw in my tire and were able to simply patch it. I only had to pay $ 30 instead of the $ 130 that had been quoted to me for a new tire. They easily could have just replaced the tire anyway (I never would have know the difference…) but they had a very high level of integrity and value for my time/​money. I paid and was out of there with ease. I appreciate the staff’s willingness to explain the options to me even despite how busy there were, and never made me feel stupid for the questions I was asking. Thanks for saving my day!

We just returned from a 5000 mile road trip and I noticed that one of our tires was very low. I had purchased the set from this Firestone store so I called them to see if they were open. Even though it was a Sunday, the 5^th of July, they were open. Mike told me to bring it in and they would see what was wrong. He was very helpful and they found a small nail that had been in there for so long that the rubber on the tire had closed over the hole. They had to take the tire off the rim and found the nail on the inside of the tire. I was only at the store less than an hour. I am very pleased with their service and would recommend this store to anyone.

Usually pretty busy. Came in this morning (Monday) and it took about 2 ½ hours.
Nice staff; they aren’t as pushy about their credit card here as they are at other locations thankfully. The guy who was behind the desk today was very friendly and made small talk; usually they just tell me what else I «need» for my car, so it was a nice change.
Easy to find in the Westfield Mall parking lot, near JC Penney. You can make appointments online. Also if you google their website you can find coupons (ex: $ 21.99 oil change).

I was in Southcenter mall, came out and saw my tire was completely flat. Rolled over to Firestone freaking out because I needed to be in Seattle within an hour and a half and traffic was awful. They squeezed me in, fixed me up, and sent me on my way within 45 minutes… THANK YOU!!!

Made an appointment online for an oil change and was greeted by Dave who handled my ’94 Bronco. He even found an online coupon and applied to my bill which saved me $ 10! After the oil change, he informed me that there may be a problem with the starter that may cost me $ 230 down the line. Of course, I get in and it wouldn’t start. I go back in and they have a look at all the while I’m thinking I would be out $ 230! Dave came back to the desk and informed me that it was just the clamps on my battery cable’s. Had I taken it somewhere else, they probably would have charged me and did the work anyway. So thank you Dave and the entire crew for making my first visit kick-​ass. I will be back.

I’ve been a customer for years, but not until now have I been satisfied with the customer service. Before, I had experienced apathetic front desk staff and sloppy auto repair, I stayed away from the shop for a while just because my customer experience was horrible. I brought my car in last month last minute to solve a CEL and just today for another issue. Both times, I was able to get squeezed in and my car taken care of. I definitely can say David and Dave are part of the reason I have such a good customer service experience. Not only are they accommodating, they are so prompt in updating about the vehicle, and they are quick. Thank you again for taking care of me so last minute! Keep up the great customer service!

I’ve been a customer of Firestone’s for ten plus years. I’ve had good customer service and fair prices in the past. Recently I’ve had terrible customer service at two locations, most recently at their location off of Andover Park West. In the past 7 months I’ve spent over $ 1500.00 at Firestone, $ 800.00 of that money was spent at this location on tires and an oil change. I brought my Toyota Tacoma in early this morning because I had a screw in my tire. I picked my vehicle up after work and they charged me $ 20.00 to have my tire patched. Now I get nothing is free BUT this is a service regularly performed by Discount Tire and Les Schwab for free. I brought this to the gentleman’s attention and had him review the amount of money I’ve spent here in the recent past. He reviewed my account and without a hint of care for his loyal customer told me, «you shouldn’t have agreed to have you tire repaired» I responded by telling him this would be a silly reason to lose a customer. He responded with, «would you like to pay with your Firestone card?» Good job fella! You just lost a customer over a twenty dollar bill and your bad attitude.
**UPDATE** The district manager contacted me shortly after I posted my review. He quickly rectified my level of satisfaction and assured me the gentleman I had my bad experience with was not performing to their company’s standards. Being a good mechanic at an auto care facility is important but doesn’t overshadow how important customer service is when you have spent and could potentially spend thousands more dollars at a business. I will, in good faith, because of the district manager’s attention give Firestone another shot. Unilocal worked because Firestone’s management appears to take quality and customer service seriously.

Short story: Cannot properly install a tire’s valve stem. This lead to a flat, stranding my wife, and a tow truck call.
Details: Brought our car in for a road damage replacement of a tire. After some unhelpful service (another story about their inability to search for tire sizes properly) they replaced the tire. 36 hours later, the tire they had replaced was completely flat, leaving my wife stranded and in need of a tow truck to assist.
Called and explained the situation once I was back in town. They told me they would call me by 11 am the next morning if they had located the needed tire. Didn’t hear anything the next morning, so I called them to check. Over the phone, I was then told I was late for my appointment and they did have a tire. Surprise! I never would have known! When I made it to the shop, I was also told I was late (again). Explaining the situation regarding the lack of communication from the staff, the manager was passive aggressive and straight up told me I was incorrect and wrong! I would have driven away right then except for the fact they had the tire I needed.
One star for repairing the valve stem in 30 minutes. Oh, also no one there even offered an apology for the fact that the flat was their fault in the first place.
Poor customer treatment, poor attitudes, poor communication skills, poor workmanship. Will not be back to this location. I will now be a Les Schwab customer. Congratulations!

This guys are scammers — Mike and David/​Dave. I work close to this place and I scheduled an appointment to get my «engine light» fixed two weeks ago. After inspection, they found that the problem was the Thermostate — it was not working well. They said they would fix it for JUST $ 458! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I may not be an auto-​mechanic but I have just about enough knowledge to know how much much repairing a thermostat should cost.
Funny thing is I decided to not get the service and asked for a document showing what the issue was. They solely obliged, and on it they said the estimated cost of repair, tools, and labor was just $ 113! They knew if I took that paper to some other mechanics it would be embarrassing for them — goes on to show how much extra money they were trying to scam on me. I bought the part and replaced it myself for less than $ 30 dollars in 30 mins at home.
Lessons: 1) DO NOT GO HERE, it’s a business and there are plenty others you can choose from 2) DO NOT GO HERE, especially if you lack working knowledge of your vehicle 3) AVOID this place.
oh forgot to mention: Dave/​David had agreed to do the inspection only for $ 65. He ended up charging me $ 129 (including $ 29 for oil change). I did not see this until I got home, and when I called them they would not refund!

Dave, David and Jack were all fantastic helps all the way through my dealings at the southcenter AutoZone. I had an idea of what was wrong with my car, but to be sure of what exactly was wrong I had to run many expensive and extensive diagnostics. Not only did they end up saving me money on what repairs were eventually done and the tests, but they also kept me well informed and in the loop every step of the way. They even held my car for an extra day since I couldn’t come in immediately. I have always had consistently positive service from every firestone I’ve ever been to. This place was no exception. C

Overpriced. Go Elsewhere!

Walked in for service on tires and wasn’t looked at for one minute while I was trying to ask about the service. Walked right out and nothing was said to me. There was nobody there first thing in the morning so being busy wouldn’t be a excuse. I will not be doing any business here nor recommending them to anyone. Simple acknowledgement. To think I almost would have spent anywhere between 500‑1000 dollars here

The older gentleman Dave who runs this shop is excellent. He does a really good job staying on top things. Its not run all scattered where no one knows whats going on unlike like other locations Ive been to in the state. There is a female with glasses and a shorter gentleman with glasses that are pretty good at their job. Im confident whenever I come here they take care of my car and havent had any issues of not trusting what they say I need unlike other Firestones Ive been to in the state.
I avoid the Firestones in Renton, Wa and Ballard, Wa. I used to live by both locations (heck even across the street from one) and Id rather drive a few miles from the Firestone in Renton and Id drive about 30 miles from the one in Ballard to come to this one in Tukwila. Thats how crappy those other ones are.
The only Firestone I’d use in all of the Seattle/​King County area.

Scammers! I went in to get an oil change and had them do a 10 point inspection. They told me I would need a single ball joint and tie rod replaced, totaling $ 1000. I called up les Schwab and they said they would do it for $ 400.
I brought it to les Schwab and I get a call an hour later, «there’s nothing wrong with your ball joints or tie rods on either side.» So they didn’t charge me anything.
Avoid this place like the plague!
PS I was out of wiper fluid, I asked if they could put some in for me, he said yeah no problem. Never happened… definitely going back to jiffy lube for oil changes.

They took the unpleasant task of purchasing tires and made it about as pleasant as possible. I went in on a Friday and was going to get my tires done that day but the manager recommended that I wait 2 days until Sunday in which they had a sale going on that ended up saving me 200+ dollars. I felt that they were genuinely concerned about helping me save some money. Customer service was excellent. I will definitely be back.
