City of Tukwila

If I could give Tukwila 0 stars I would. There’s simply nothing redeeming about the endless collection of strip malls, chain stores, poorly put-​together tract homes and office parks that make up this suburban hellhole. Plus the name is impossible to pronounce unless you live here (eclipsed only by Cle Elum and Puyallup for ridiculousness).
Unfortunately, I also work here, which means I am regularly subject to the fact that I have to get in my car to get cup of coffee, and that the nearest thing resembling an actual restaurant is 10 minutes away in Georgetown (no — nothing in Southcenter counts). It’s like the anti-​Seattle.
Yeah, the light-​rail passes overhead, but it stops only at the very edge near the airport, which should tell you something about what there is (or isn’t) to see here.
The best thing I can say is that it’s easy to get away from Tukwila to other places because there are two highways nearby and fat (phat?) roads.
