Went there today and left frustrated. Nice stuff in there. No one helped us. Went to service desk and was ignored. Customer service sucks!

Be very careful what you are getting into. Ordered a sectional motion sofa from the clearance. It was a returned item. When we received it, the power cord was stripped and burnt. Store simply said they did not see the problem at store. They would send a power cord and I need to put it on. They did not budge till I said I was ready to dispute through credit card. Obviously their business model does not include customer service, but only sales. So be careful.

Came here and just like most Unilocalers have already said, we were ignored. We saw a family asking for help to someone and they had a face and did not smile at them. I felt sad for that family. Why will they behave like that? I think they are not paid by commission. This place is expensive and I think customers should be treated nice with a «Hello», What are you looking for or a simple «Let me know if you have any questions». Of course we browsed and left.

There are certainly some very nice pieces here and the selection is huge. Most of the prices are pretty high for the quality and design, though. Also, when I asked the saleswoman about a couch I thought might have been bonded leather, she seemed very proud to inform me that they only carry genuine leather. I do believe that particular piece was genuine, but I actually did find several other items at that location and others that were bonded/​artificial leather.

I purchased a bookshelf and went to return it because it came damaged. The warehouse guys were really nice but Mary helped me at the front desk and the service sucked. No smile, no hi/​hello and she couldn’t wait to get rid of me. I guess Dania only wants to sell to you and get commission, not actually make the customer happy. Find a different store or another Dania.

Do not buy anything at Dania!
They are dishonest. If they run your credit card in the store. Which they always do. If you go around to the back and they refuse to load your furniture. Which they did to me. Then you cannot reverse the charge. The rules of credit card processors say, that if you signature is on the credit card slip, then you must have received the item, even if you didn’t.
In my case, the loading person signed his name to the pick up receipt left blank where the customer signs and it was considered proof of pick-​up.
Beware. Do not sign your credit card slip at Dania.

We have been to the dania in kirkland 3 times in the last 6 months. While the staff is friendly and knowledgeable the furniture and wall art hasnt changed in the 6 months or so that we have gone. I find Ashley to be much better except it is so far away from Kirkland

I had no idea people WANTED to be approached by sales folk. I HATE having someone follow me around, eyeing me from various angles of the store as I glance at prospective furniture and then sidling over if they judge I am showing just enough interest in a piece. Yuck. I get my mind off the furniture and start to worry about their family’s bills being paid! …“I bet his wife needs a hip operation and this is his second job to pay for it…” «Oh, she’s a single mom, trying to get the rent paid and also pay for her daughter’s prom gown …» I can’t help it!!! Here, you don’t get that. If you want to order, you go up to the circular desk at the center of the store, and do as such. I’ve never asked questions about their products, because I prefer to flip them upside down and inside out and figure out the quality of materials and construction for myself. (yep, that was my husband and me you saw kneeling on the floor with the over-​turned table last week)
After craigslisting our expensive top grain leather sofas that likely would have lasted us until we were 100 because they just kept yelling «1990’s!!» to me, we came here and finally settled on a sofa, chair, end table, coffee table and 3 chair bistro set for the price of what we sold our old couch and loveseat for on craigslist… brandnew, the old leather set cost us $ 4000…since we were sick of it in 7 years time, we sold them for $ 2000. We opted for a cheaper «leather» sofa at Dania which we figured would last a few years, when we would undoubtedly yearn for a new look anyway. And guess what… after 2 ½ years, the «leather» began to crack and tear in areas of great use, not to mention kitty’s rear claws leaving little scratches. And guess what else… we ARE ready for a new look anyway. It was «bonded» leather, which has shards of real leather scraps which have been pulverized and mixed with plastic and other things, pressed into a paper thin layer which is glued over a thicker fabric, so that when you grab it you think it’s thick leather… We figured out it was «pleather», but still went for it with our reasoning of getting something else in a few years. FYI, if you want a «leather» couch, you need to find out what kind of «leather» it is… there is a wide spectrum of quality.
Overall, I like all of the more «modern» styles Dania offers… I appreciate the varied prices/​quality to suit varying budgets. I don’t like that the furniture can’t be bought there; you have to order, pay for delivery, wait 1 week OR drive down to Dupont warehouse and pick it up yourself.

Ordered a bed and when delivered they were not able to assemble it bec of the wrong hardware and the head board panel was defective too, i get it– manufacturer’s defect… then after so much arrangements to wait for the next delivery– still the wrong hardware-​again manufacturer’s defect. I don’t understand why they would replace a defective furniture with another defective one and after i was promised a phone call within the day to address this, they did not call back.

Following on my earlier review– the table and chairs have held up to daily use beautifully! We’ll be back to Dania for sure.

We have been shopping Dania for a few years now. A lot of pieces in our house are from Dania at Southcenter. However! We recently went here to purchase a new bed set. The lady (about 52 years old, dark hair) was very rude. I walked up to their desk to ask for help and said hello as this older sales lady looked up from her work. Not a Hello back from her, but rather a stern stare as if to say, «I’m working here. What do you want??» I asked if they sold any Calif King frames for an adjustable bed. You’d think I’d asked her for her first born child. «NO.» That’s all I got out of this cold, frigid woman. Embarrassed we walked toward the exit determined not to buy anything from this store. This same sales lady was walking in our direction as we were trying to get the Hell out of this place and she did not even say a «good bye» or asked if she could help us with anything else.
We took our purchase to Macy’s and spent close to $ 5,000 for a new bed frame and nightstands. We love our new set. Too bad for Dania.

We were told our items were designed and made in Denmark. When the delivery people came, all boxes and tags said made in China. Poor form Dania.
***UPDATE***
I spoke with Linda the store manager about my disappointment in the «Danish» items being made in China. From our conversation I beleave there was no deception, but an honest mistake. Linda even offered to take the furniture back and offered a full refund! Good service and the right thing to do. While I am still disappointed, I am very happy with the quality and design and thanked Linda for her gracious offer. I should also mention our sale agent Freda, she was helpful.

Dania!!!
If you buy anything from here… you’ll be paying for quality. It is well organied by company. A litle different from other funiture store in the area is that… there isn’t any low quality stuff. Depending on the who the manufacturer is… you get different deals.
In short, if you got the cash to spend it… you won’t get the wrong quality.

Love the furniture here! Lots of interesting styles, all very unique. I would love to decorate my house full of stuff from here!

I love Dania styles, and this Dania had the patience and selection to help me pick out just what I wanted.
I had just moved to Seattle and was among a moving frenzy. Remembering the Dania selection that I liked in Chicago, I came to this one near Southcenter to check out the models. While we didn’t end up buying the sofas we had anticipated, we did get bar stools, a bed frame, and a nightstand. 2 months later, all are as good as new and showing no signs of wear.
Just be aware, if you order delivery of something that comes in parts, they should assemble it for you, but the drivers haven’t always gotten the memo. Just be pushy about it and they will assemble it.

I am a fan of this location now. I visited it multiple times. They have great contemporary furniture. I ended up buying a bed and nightstands from them after checking numerous stores. The sales staff was helpful. I was helped by Phil. Great guy. The store closes at 6p on Sunday, I walked in at 5.45p, but he took good care of me, stayed late after all of his co-​workers had left and made sure I was able to complete the transaction. (But then again it could be the commission. I don’t care. I like good service) I ended up cancelling the dining set, and it was an easy phone call. I had to postpone the delivery of my bed, again a simple phone call. Good experience overall.
I’ll definitely go back when I am shopping for furniture again. Done for now. :)

My bf and I came here to look for a new couch on the recommendation of a friend. I had always steered clear of this place as I’ve passed by the Roosevelt one before and it always looked out of my budget. My friend got a couch and chaise set here for $ 650 and told me that they carry affordable pieces.
This store is quite large and guess what? My friend was right! Yes, there were many pieces that were way over our budget, but there were also plenty of pieces that were definitely within budget!
We came here looking for a sectional and we came home with a new sectional!
The lady helping us, Mary Lou, was very helpful, patient, and willing to answer all questions. She didn’t pressure us at all into making a decision right away.
The most noticeable part of Dania furniture is the QUALITY of their pieces. Nothing seemed cheap or easy to break, especially in comparison to the many other furniture stores we checked out.
Great place, will be back for furniture in the future.
And our new couch is AWESOME!

I just got back from a few trips to DANIA and was super impressed with each experience. I read a review where someone felt like they had been ignored. That was EXACTLY what I loved. Just like car salesmen, people who sell furniture are looking for commission. This makes me wanna puke! If I want to buy a $ 2400 couch, I’ll buy it. You don’t have to convince me. You don’t have to tell me about how soft the fabric is or how pretty the color scheme is… I know. That’s why I’m sitting on it.
At DANIA I was totally ignored. I walked in and literally looked at every single item in the store before someone at the counter (in the center of the store) gently shouted in my direction, «How are you today?» I was almost beginning to think they were closed and forgot me inside. It was dead in there until that moment! But after I walked up and introduced myself, they woman who asked how I was doing was extremely helpful. I told her what I was looking for and we took another quick lap through the store. No hard sells, no pressure.
The selection was great. Nothing too contemporary here as there’s more emphasis on modern furniture. Leather, fabric, low to the ground, lots of pillows… they have it all. Some of the prices and styles are similar to what can be found at IKEA but I’ve found that the quality is slightly better. There’s also more variety in the fabrics you buy and depending on what you leave with, there’s less assembly involved.
If you are looking for help at this store, go right to the counter and ask for it. They’re friendly but they won’t badger you unless you want them to.

Booooooooo!
If you walk in and no one greets you the WHOLE time you are there, why would you buy? Funny, when I was 21yo (hmmm about 15yrs ago) I received the same service. Some things do not change.

This place is on my list as one of the furniture shops to go to if I ever move into a house again. The prices are quite reasonable and is of much higher grade than IKEA and will last you a long time. The quality of the furniture and finish is very modern and fits to what I like in a home. You will find all sorts of good stuff from tables, lamps, bed, chairs, sofas, entertainment sets and rugs. I would dare say that the resell value of the stuff you buy here would hold better than if you bought some traditional type furniture from the gawd awful MOR furniture.
