Foster’s Furniture

Our initial visit to Fosters in October went great, the salesperson was knowledgeable and respectful. We picked out the couch and leather options we wanted. My receipt shows that we were quoted 90 – 120 days as approximate shipping dates. I started calling them at about 100 days to see where the couch was at; they said it was on its way from China. I called them two weeks later, they said it was in southern Oregon. I called them last week and they said they would deliver it today (day 145). But they didn’t call to confirm, i doubt it will show up; i will drive down there today and talk to them in person.

We went here looking for some living room and dining room furniture. I remember going here when I was a little kid with my parents. It still looks about the same, and it is staffed with very knowledgeable people. We were immediately greeted with a smile by Greta, who was one of the original owners. She walked us through several options from style, fabric, and desired color selections. Talk bout knowing your fabrics and design styles, if there was a PHD in furniture — she would be the one teaching the class. Only minus one star for the price and selection, it is definitely very specific for a certain type of customer. This is a super high end store, make sure to bring a credit card with a 10K+ limit, and that would probably just be to purchase a sofa. But this is definitely the place, if you want CUSTOM modern contemporary furniture. This is the next level up from Dania. They also have an impeccable selection of rugs and endless options for those too.

Hubby and I went in to buy several pieces for our new house. I had done a lot of research online and knew basically what I wanted, including the brands of couch and chairs, so I called around to many stores to see what they had on the floor, as we didn’t want to purchase until we’d sat in them. Foster’s was the only place that had — get this — more than one of the styles we wanted to sit in. Shannon was very patient with me on the phone as I went through the list of chairs I wanted to try, to see if it was worth our coming all the way out there. I was astonished at how many of them they had, especially compared to everyone else! So, we headed out the next week, and we’re very glad we did. Their selection is amazing, and Shannon was so talented in helping us pick out fabrics and making sure everything fit (we’d brought our paint, floor and tile samples with us, as well as living room layout). Then when we were done, she suggested we take the fabric samples home and send them back in a week, so we could see how they looked in the room before ordering. Now, that’s customer service. Delivery charge was minimal — only $ 75 — especially given how far away we live.
Very, very happy we went to Foster’s. And, special thanks to Shannon!

I bought a dining room table online — it was a great value. There were some hick ups with the delivery initially and Chris Foster personally got involved and stepped up and paid for an alternate shipping company to expedite it to me. The table is beautiful and I really appreciate the great customer service!

I have been a customer of Foster’s Furniture for the past 20 years. I have purchased a lot of furniture for two different homes. I was so excited when I found this store and discovered that Foster’s specialized in high quality contemporary and modern furniture. I am still using the furniture I bought from them years ago. The showroom is set up to display the furniture and accessories in a very attractive way. The designers know what accessories compliment any given living room, dining room or bedroom set. One quick look around the store and you can tell that the owners and staff are excellent designers. When I walk in the door someone welcomes me and ask if they can help me in any way. If I don’t have a specific question and just want to see what is new, they will let me wander around the store and spend time testing chairs and couches and measuring tables to see if they will fit in my house. I never get the feeling that a sales person is hovering or that there is any pressure on me at all.
The owners as well as the people who work in the store know the merchandise and are very good at answering any questions I might have. I ordered a custom storage ottoman. I asked for and was given help selecting the fabric and style of the ottoman.
I have moved more times than I would like to even think about. One my most recent move, the movers did quite a bit of damage to a beautiful dresser that I had purchased from Foster’s and that i have used in my master bedroom for a number of years. I called Foster’s to see if they could help me find a good place to get my dresser repaired. Chris was very helpful and gave me the name of a company that works on quality furniture.
Recently I found a great Turquoise pillow that has lots of silky texture. It really stands out and makes a statement in my room. I might have to go back for another one soon.
You can find some great deals in the store when they have a sale. At other times the prices reflect the quality of the furniture. I have found over the years that you do get what you pay for.
It is true that Foster’s is not easy to find even though It is centrally located and very near South Center. If you like modern or contemporary design this store is one you should really visit. It is one of my favorite stores and definitely my favorite furniture store.

I passed by Foster’s Furniture on the freeway for nearly a year before I finally decided to go in and take a look at what they had. I am a VERY particular shopper and know exactly what I am looking for so I’m not easily sold on just anything. When I walked into the showroom I was greeted and informed the Sales Associate that I was just looking. She respectfully replied back saying if I needed any help to let her know. She introduced herself and left me to look just as I’d asked. I found some incredible accessories and other things. There was a particular pillow that I’d fallen in love with. It was a very deep and pure red with Swarovski Crystal beads sewn in and I HAD to have them. They were perfect for a couch I’d just had custom made. I was disappointed they didn’t have 4 and they’d only had two. Long story short, they ordered them and gave me an incredible price I couldn’t resist. Flash forward two months and my pillows I’d been waiting for an eternity for, finally arrived. The saleswoman stayed in contact with me weekly to the date they arrived and that made me very, very happy. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Anyway, when I went to pick up my pillows, I arrived about 15 minutes before they closed. There is so much incredible inventory it’s like being a kid in a candy-​store. When I went to pay the remaining balance for my two pillows, I saw a television console table they’d just put on the showroom floor for their 2015 collection. It was the EXACT color wood I wanted, size and style! I made Chris a fair offer for the piece (I believe he’s the Manager) and without hesitation, he said, you’re a great customer, I’ll do that for you! Then I made the most RIDICULOUS request EVER and asked if they’d deliver it to my home that night! (I hate waiting as you can tell)! I was shocked when he checked in with his delivery guys and all said they’d be happy to do so without blinking an eye. The customer service at this store is without the slightest doubt a 10+++++! They completely exceeded my expectations and have earned my business for life. Now, I call Chris when I find something I like at another store and he finds something in his inventory that fits my needs. I’m starting over and furnishing my new home and couldn’t feel better about giving a review to a company who fulfills my needs beyond my expectations. I HIGHLY recommend ANYBODY to go there and experience what I’ve experienced! Thank you Foster’s for giving me a great experience and reason to write this long review! If I could turn it into a book, I’d do it! :)

Apparently at this store they know what money looks like?
We are a young black couple (early 30’s) that noticed a «Furniture Sale» sign that lead us to Fosters Furniture. When we entered the store we were not greeted by a single sales associates. For a furniture, especially an empty one with 4 – 5 sales reps on hand we found this to be a bit interesting. We stood around for quite sometime before being «greeted» by anyone. When we were finally «greeted» by anyone an older Caucasian woman approached us and stated: «Are you in the wrong store?». This caught me by surprise as there was no «hello»…and if you haven’t been to this store… it is secluded and off set so you would only have to be intentionally going to THAT store… I simply asked her «Why do you think we are in the wrong store?» She didn’t have an answer but then did say «This is a very expensive high end store if you are looking for something less» Once again I was in complete shock that she made the assumption not only were we in the wrong store but we couldn’t afford what was in front of us. There was no question of «Is there anything I can help you find» or «What type of furniture are you looking for?» Even if she thought we couldn’t afford it could she not have asked what price range we we were looking to spend? The later I feel is an incorrect way to go, but some assessment questions would have been a fantastic start. As the insults continued we opted to leave the store and continue on to furniture stores that greeted us upon arrival, were very helpful and didn’t tell us we couldn’t afford their furniture.

HMMM… no reviews yet? How is that possible? Well to be fair Saturday was my first time there and I’ve lived in the Seattle-​Tacoma area since… you know, forever. This place is tucked away in a corner so break out your GPS to get there. Or if you know where the 3-​story Lover’s is you can also use that (Foster’s is next to it). They’re both kind of behind the mall. They carry a fair amount of furniture, most of it seems to be contemporary/​transitional/​maybe borderline modern, and they have a design desk. Seems like if you buy furniture from them they’ll help you design your space (pretty par for the course for upper furniture stores like Selden’s and etc.)
Probably the best thing about them? The salespeople leave you alone. What a novel freakin’ concept (JR FURNITURE). We wandered around the entire store, ran into probably five or so employees, and beyond the initial «hi can I help you?» «no thanks, we’re just looking» we were left to our own devices. Personally, I really appreciate that. I hate it when I feel rushed through a store because someone is breathing down my neck.
There were tons of couches and chairs and a smaller area for dining furniture. Not very many bedroom options. I was actually eying an accent chair there, the furniture seems to be pretty solidly built and well made. Sometimes you can flip furniture over and see that it’s already sagging out of the bottom right in the showroom, but not here.

Did I mention how the salespeople aren’t pushy? Seriously, I feel like I’ve won the furniture store lottery finding this place.
