I read the reviews, but was in the area and needed a part. The reviews are completely accurate. I have never had such a negative customer service experience and I honestly signed up for Unilocal just to warn other potential customers. The two staff members were rude and condescending, but I can deal with that. The real kicker is that they were also dishonest, trying to sell me on more expensive gear I not only didn’t didn’t need, but was less useful for the gig. Photography is my job, but I didn’t tell the staff that(I never do when I buy gear). They were treating me like an amateur needing their wisdom, and that’s fine and to some degree preferable, but any«wisdom» they were peddling was false, being a lie designed to sell more expensive equipment. Avoid this place. It’s worth the time to drive somewhere else.

I went in because I was having issues with a battery not charging properly that was purchased from this store as a gift. I had previously contacted the manufacturer to see if I could ship the product to them but they told me to return to Tall’s Camera and they would be able to swap it out for me. I went in with the product in hand and before I opened my mouth to ask a question as I approached the counter, the guys behind the counter said«that’s a battery» with a tone as if I was some idiot who didn’t know what the hell was in my hand. Well duh… I think I know what it is considering it was purchased from your store and I brought it in with a question. They told me they couldn’t help me and that they would not be able to swap it out, so I just left. The manufacturer suggested that I return to Tall’s Camera to avoid having to pay shipping to their facility, but after that, I think I’ll just pay a few bucks to return the battery to the manufacturer. I’m not upset about the fact that they were not able to exchange the battery, I’m upset by the fact that before I even opened my mouth the guy behind the counter treatment me like I’m some idiot.

Went in to purchase a new Canon body & two lenses — two staff members were helping two separate customers, so they were busy with other people. After patiently waiting about 5ft away and looking at cameras, I still was not even acknowledged. 25 minutes in, someone said they’d be with me soon. I left.

I had a horrible experience with this camera shop. I went in looking for a memory card for an Olympus E-10. The manager helped me find one and asked what camera I had and I told him. He sold me the memory card and when I went home it ended up being the wrong memory card and I opened the package. I went to go return the memory card the day the manager was working and told him he sold me the wrong product and he refused to give me my money back. He said we both didnt know because we didnt have enough information to give you the right product. I asked him what information he needed to know and he said he just needed to know what camera it was. I clearly remember telling him what camera it was and it is especially the managers job to ensure I get the right product and to ask all the right questions before I leave. This makes me wonder if he does this to all of his customers. On top of that I just found out from his employees that no one makes the specific memory card I need anymore and I could only find my item on ebay. It wouldve been nice to know that before I bought the wrong product. I dont appreciate how he handled the situation because it was his fault. Going into a camera shop I expect them to know what they have and what they dont have. I dont know who put him in charge but he is a complete idiot. Im never going here ever again.

I was in the market for a new Nikon lens that is in short supply at many retailers. I called up Tall’s in Southcenter Mall and was informed that they had the lens. I left my name and they put the lens on hold for me. A few hours later, I got to their store and was informed that the lens had been placed on hold for me, but was subsequently sold to someone else who showed up looking for the same item. Apparently«hold» means«we’ll sell it to you if you get here before anyone else shows up looking for it.» The man who put the lens on hold for me was not in the shop when the lens was sold, so I am not upset with him for not keeping his word. But I can’t trust this store now given my experience with them.

I had a great experience here. I had a ton of questions to ask, and Ed was very patient. He didn’t talk down to me and he didn’t try to upsell anything or add on a bunch of stuff that I could very well have been duped into buying.(He even traded me the fully-charged battery out of the new display so that I could use the camera as soon as I got home.) I happily left with a Canon 600d and a sense of comfort. Unfortunately, the battery that got traded out wouldn’t charge right when I did exhaust, it, but I was able to come back in and trade it back for the original battery. Thanks, Ed!
