They have a great selection of gifts and fun unique items but their customer service could use improvement. I’m not one to post Unilocal reviews but am hoping they can use this as a future training tool for the staff. The store was crowded and I did not see the sign that pointed to the beginning of the line. I was the only person not at a register when I walked up. I stood behind another person who was also waiting for their friend to finish their purchase. A few minutes later four more people stood behind me «in line». The young woman who worked at the store came up and pointed to the sign hanging at the ceiling on the opposite side. I said«oh I’m sorry. I didn’t see that». She asked me to reform the line. I reiterated what she said and she said yes, please form the line under the sign. I went to do that and then looked back and they helped the person directly behind me at the other register. I was a bit confused. She then helped the guy behind me. She acted confused but was a bit snotty about it. They guy behind me said«how did hat happen». She looked blankly at me. So here’s where I was irritated with he service… You obviously asked me to reform the line, you knew I was first in line when you asked me to do that… So why didn’t you help me next? Thanks for the lesson in patience … Oh and the cool socks I waited«in line» for as you helped others before me with a snarky smile.

I love this store and want to buy everything. Every time I visit Seattle I make a point to find one of these stores. Also very convenient to have a location at Sea-Tac. I know I can always find a quirky gift or treat myself to something I’ll never find anywhere else. They will not disappoint.

Fireworks has a hodge podge of gifts, accessories, jewelry, and the popular paper star lamps. Many of the items are cheeky. They resell some Archie McPhee products. They have a very small selection of baby clothes and toys. The store was really clean and organized. One of my friends was followed around for a while by an employee. She wasn’t acting or appearing suspicious so that wasn’t good CS. They are still selling Christmas ornaments –huh?! — instead of putting them away to sell for next season. I bought a book«written» by dogs about their mistakes and a Seattle Chocolate bar. The cashier didn’t look at me and was already counting her drawer 15 minutes before close. Fireworks is an interesting store. Not sure if it’s interesting enough for a return trip.

This is a review for the web site ordering experience for Fireworks, which is operated out of the SouthCenter location. I do not recommend purchasing/ordering from the Fireworks Gallery online store. The shopping experience is fine, pretty average for online retail, but the follow through and order handling once the customer places an order are dismal. I ordered several items around $ 50 each that I intended to give as Christmas gifts. I placed my order on 12/15/2013 and immediately received a confirmation email of my order. That was all, however. I could log in to the shopping site and see the status of my order as «in process» and the product listing for each item says, «This product has not yet shipped.» I’ve called three times now checking on the status of my order. The support number connects to the retail store telephone for the South Center location, so the sales people had no idea what I was calling about. None of the ‘support’ number sales clerks had any insight into my order. I had to read off the long item number for each item so one clerk could look up my items. She said that if the items are not in-stock at the SouthCenter location, they would be transferred from other stores and it would take 2 – 3 days. I was told this 5 days after placing my order. After three calls, still no one could tell me when the order would ship. I called today finally to cancel my order, as there is no way these items will ship and arrive in time for Christmas. The clerk said she would«make a note of it» and try to cancel my order. I asked for an email to confirm, and although my email is listed on my receipt/confirmation, she had no way of looking it up. I will go try to find the same items elsewhere in Los Angeles — I moved here this past year, but wanted to give my business to Fireworks as I’ve shopped in the store and enjoyed it previously. After this experience I will most likely not shop at Fireworks Gallery in-person, nor online again. I definitely can not recommend the web site to others.

Love this spot for gifts and random knickknacks. I did a large amount of my Christmas shopping here, and probably if I need a gift for someone in the future, this would be one of the first places I would check out. The things they sell here are creative, useful and just plain fun. There are those folding ballet flats that would totally come in handy for your party girl friend when she can’t walk in her 4-inch heels at 3am. And awesome coasters that define the stages of drunkenness. Cutesy salt and pepper shakers, not that I ever really use them. Books ranging from cooking to jokes to children’s stuff. Dining table tennis, anyone? Prices seem a little bit high for some things but other things are quite reasonably priced, so that just makes looking all the more fun. Oh and the star lanterns on the window are really nice.

People ask what Fireworks sells and it’s hard to explain. But I have yet to take someone there and have them not like it. It is always decorated with star shaped lanterns at the front and usually full of trinket-y type stuff. Household items(cute s & p shakers, aprons, etc) to Ugly Dolls and funny books. I usually come here if I am looking for either a gift or something funny.
