I don’t write many reviews, but Teriyaki Time has more than earned this chunk of my time over the years. 1. The chicken is awesome– it’s a homemade sauce and I’d recommend ordering it spicy(it isn’t going to burn you but it adds a certain umph) 2. The yakisoba is just as good, the spicy version may be a bit much for the more delicate tongues out there and isn’t always consistent on the level of heat. 3. It is a small family business — they run a small staff and when it gets busy it may take longer than you’d like. Get over it– the food is cooked fresh and tastes great. 4. This is a review that is 10 years in the making– they have consistently produced a superior product . 5. Just go, have some patience and be friendly and they will pay you back with a smile and really good food.

Went to this teriyaki place on my way to the airport to get one last teriyaki meal in before I left the PNW. Looked for a teriyaki place with high reviews — Unilocal, you’ve failed me for the first time. This place was awful. Mediocre at best! I’m so disappointed. The meat(I got a combo chicken and beef) was well cooked but that’s the only good thing I can say about this place. There was barely any flavor. No typical teriyaki sauce. They included that cheap, salty generic soy sauce. I had asked mine to be «spicy» — the«asian way» thinking that they’d make it authentic and none of that weak hint of flavor. I was wrong. The«spicy» was a gentle dusting of chili flakes on the meat. There wasn’t any marinade or flavor to the meal. At best, this place is mediocre. Don’t waste your money here — go elsewhere if you want a real taste of PNW teriyaki. PLEASE. So bummed that this is my last taste of the PNW before heading back to the east coast. Arghhhh.

This is my go to Teriyaki place in Tukwila. The main lady at the counter is awesome. She remembers me when I come in, which is only once a week. One time I ordered my usual pickup order and it was taking longer than normal. I’m very forgiving and patient… She gave me extra food without me saying a thing. …Made my day, but I understood why. There’s 2 things I dislike from this place, but it’s not worth removing a star. 1. They don’t give enough sauce for the two scoops of rice on take out. I love sauce. You need to request extra sauce. It’s only 25 cents though! 2. The sweet and sour chicken is terrible! BUT it’s the ONLY thing on the menu I didn’t like. Again, everything else is awesome, I love this place!

It has gotten speedier the past couple months and my food is usually only a few minutes waiting now. I have tried just about every Teriyaki place around this area and this is definitely the best when it comes to the food itself. Portion is definitely smaller than surrounding restaurants but worth it — at least for me.

Do yourself a favor and never order the«Chicken Curry»(Atleast… that’s what they’re calling it.) I know what curry looks and tastes like…(Red, Green, Pinang, all of it…) and that wasn’t it. My food was almost prepared the way a cook subtly tells you… they hate you. However, to balance out the negative, I can only give this place stars for having friendly service.

This is one of the best teriyaki spots in Tukwila ! Great portion sizes for a good price. I highly recommend this teriyaki restaurant. Thank you for always having great food ! Bests, Tim

They have some delicious teriyaki here. They make it fairly quickly for you and tastes great too! Whenever we have to go orders, they’ve never messed it up. Always good, quick, and big portions too. What’s not to like?

This is a service review. I called in a to go order and realized I had forgotten my debit card at home. I am a regular and asked if my wife could call in a credit card number so I could pick up my order. They absolutely refused and have lost all my future business. I realize it was my fault but a little bit of flexibility would’ve been appropriate.

The reason I didn’t give this place 4 or 5 stars is it is often slow and it is not very clean. However it is the best teriyaki in the area.

I came here for the first time because of all the reviews! And they were really nice and the teriyaki tasted okay… but as I was sitting at the table eating my food the owner was in the kitchen making nasty ass spitting sound like he had mucus and trying to clear it but anyways I completely lost my apatite and I feel disgusted. I won’t be coming back. Everything looks so unsanitary.

This is by far my favorite teriyaki place in the Seattle area. I’ve been going here for 12 plus years now. Always fantastic service, and always delicious food that hits the spot. Although there is a little bit of a language barrier, they are the nicest people around. And it’s always very clean in there too. Great teriyaki and at a decent price as well. I’m never disappointed!

The teriyaki was decent. However, the list of the following things are the reason they got stars deducted… Their customer service sucks. I went in for lunch while in the area for a training class. I asked for their lunch special which was chicken teriyaki with a side of gyoza for $ 5.95. I simply asked for the special without the gyoza… instead extra rice or extra chicken. They said it could not be done. I am pretty sure rice is cheaper than gyoza. So then I said, never mind I’ll just take the special. And since I expressed I would not eat the gyoza she said I should just get the regular order of chicken teriyaki instead. Granted it was only like .50 cents more but still! Why can you not give me the special and hell, give me the damn gyoza and I will throw it away. Whatever, so the regular chicken teriyaki it is! It took a while to get my food. They were probably spitting in it. The teriyaki sauce was decent, not the best I have had but ok. There definitely was not a lot of chicken on that plate. Definitely not enough chicken to go with 3 scoops of rice. Chicken was a little charred. Not great. I remember when I use to work in South Center, I would frequent this place often. It has gone downhill since then. Either that, or my standards have been raised!

This place is not bad but not great. I came in to order a Chicken teriyaki for a friend and I waited about 12 – 14 min ish. THEYDONOTACCEPTDISCOVERCARD My total was $ 9.03 I know that I asked for brown rice instead of white rice, which was a $ 0.99 up charge, but $ 9 for a basic order is way too much. I did ask for the«large» portion but when I opened it up, I didn’t see anything large about it. The inside was a typical teriyaki spot, places to seat but no view to enjoy. It was a fairly clean place. The portion was on the smaller side even though I did ask for the larger one. And there was 2 small scoops of brown rice. The salad came on the side and it was drenched in dressing which i did not like. I would only come back to this place in the future if I needed some food right now! Otherwise I would much rather spend my money else where. Thank you but no thanks Teriyaki Time.

This is the best teriyaki in all of the Pacific Northwest! A co-worker turned me on to it and that was 8 years ago! Been back very often ever since!

I love how they marinate their chicken and how it taste so amazing even without sauce. Unlike other teriyaki places, this houses sauce isnt thick like others and i can tell it doesnt have msg. They grill the chicken on the grill… while others always boil their chicken first. I love this place!

Best teriyaki. I’ve been here many times and it’s always consistent. They don’t drown their meat in sauces which I love and the food always taste fresh which is surprising for a teriyaki joint. The portions are smaller so if you want more opt for the large portion versus the regular portion.

I’m a traveling salesman who appreciates good, economical meals. This place will see me again. Friendly service, with a smile, no less. Freshly bbq’d meats, tasty, reasonable cost.

I have gone on the record more than one that I am not a Teriyaki fan. I think the issue with Teriyaki is places are lazy. They use bottled sauce and assume Siracha is the only spice required to season the meat. This place is the anti Teriyaki establishment. Not only do they char broil meat to perfection, it appears they brew their own sauce and they spice up the meat with good old fashioned red pepper and not Siracha. The lady behind the counter appears to be less than likely with minorities as she asked all of them if they wanted their order to go where others she asked to take a seat with a smile. She was never rude, but did appear to want to keep the dining area very very vanilla. Great food, fair price and I recommend it highly. Short of the less inviting attitude for some, this place was a home run.

Located across from Southcenter mall. This is one of my favorite Teriyaki places in the Seattle area. Instead of getting a pile of chopped up meat you get charbroiled chicken & beef served on skewers. The portions are smaller but the food is amazing and fresh. Prices are good around $ 7 – 8 for a combo meal.
