Best liquor store ever! Best selection, best prices, helpful clerks. What else is there?

The selection is phenomenal, the service is attentive and appropriate. It’s just those pesky prices that get in the way.

Best craft brew store I’ve ever seen. 100’s of ipa’s by the bottle or growler. Fine wine and cigar selection.

They had a lower price posted on their web site for one of the items I wanted to purchase from the Tukwila store. I showed the price to two different employees and they confirmed the discrepancy between the web site and the price listed on the shelf. They even had me refresh the web page and reconfirmed that the price was for the Tukwila store. Neither employee could/​would honor the lower price. I insisted on talking to the manager. He took more than 10 minutes before he finally arrived at the checkout stand. He asked me to refresh the Web page and all of a sudden the higher price was shown (a coincidence? Perhaps, but it seems more than a little suspicious to me). At this point he said he could not honor the price even though both employees had confirmed the discrepancy. Extremely poor customer service.

I had such a great experience my first time shopping by myself! I came down to get two bottles of wine as gifts for Christmas (ended up leaving with four bottles… Oops), and even when the store was packed and busy, I still had great service!
If you don’t know much about wine, don’t let that stop you from coming in. If you’re socially awkward, have no fear! The shelves have randomly placed hand written labels that briskly explains some of the products. There are more labels that explains what the wine is made of (berries, mocha, caramel), what it may taste like (full or medium bodied), what it pairs well with (pork, salmon, chocolates, cheese). There are other labels with employee photos that states their favorite wines, which I find to be a very cute personal touch; plus it’s like getting an experts recommendation without having to actually talk to someone!
If you don’t know much about wine but you’re not as socially awkward, you definitely should talk to one of their wine experts and have them help you choose! Brian at the Cabernet aisle first came off as kinda… Cold? But after asking more questions and after warming up, I ended up having a great conversation and I learned so much about wine thanks to him! And apparently, there’s A LOT more to know. If you need help finding a good Cabernet or if you need a run down on how to analyze the labels, Brian’s your guy! He was awesome!
This place also has free wine tastings on Friday nights and weekend evenings! By the registers, they have a super freezer; stick your bottle in the machine while you’re waiting in line, in 3 – 7 minutes, your drink will be chilled or ice cold! Pretty cool!!! The future is here!!!
This place is awesome. Kind and knowledgeable workers, beautiful atmosphere, and the grandiose selection of drinks. I could probably spend hours in here just looking and learning about all the wine.

I love the selection of beers. As a Colorado Transplant its great to get beers Im used to from home. And with the vast selection of Beer its great in adding new ones to my list that I have tried. Plus if you need harder Alcohol or wine they will have it.

The Costco of liquor. This place is great but the customer service won me over today. I bought a growler of Manny’s yesterday and when we went to drink it that night, it was sour and just terrible. I called today to see if they would give me a new one and they did. Again we always like Total Wine because of the associates’ expertise in wine liquor and beer.

The store has a good selection of wines, spirits and beer, but they are short on customer service. This has to be the slowest place to get service or to checkout when you are ready to leave. You have to wait forever at the checkout if you or another shopper requested a higher priced bottle, even though, you have to request the bottle before you are finish shopping. The cashiers have to walk away to the customer service desk to retrieve the bottle while there is a line of people or they have to walk away to verify a shoppers check. I love to wait, Not!

We were visiting the area and staying at a nearby hotel. We didn’t want to keep paying the high hotel prices for drinks so we decided to look for a place to buy some wine. We found this store and we were amazed at the huge selection. The staff is very knowledgeable and very helpful. We found some of the wine we usually buy and took a suggestion from one of the staff. The prices were reasonable compared to what we are used to paying. This is a nice place to shop.

This is my reliable place to pick up beverages. I’ve seen many employees come and some go. Overall, the selection is very good, and the prices are usually some of the best you can find without running all over town. The checkers are the only complaint that I have, and it has only been because of turnover. Some of them now seem to take too long getting people through the line during a rush. When things are slow, I expect to get the training cashiers, but during a rush, too many of the other staff aren’t opening up registers. You can’t have everyone on the cashiers from a business standpoint, but you can’t have a full front end full of inexperienced people either. When I’m in a rush, I’ll find another place until I see a difference.

Alcohol, Unilocal.Alcohol.

This is my go-​to place when I’m in need of alcohol. There is such a wide variety of selections from local beers to international ones. They also have a vast selection of wines at very excellent prices. I also purchase my wine glasses here. They have varying models of Reidell glassware. There is also a large selection of hard liquor. The staff are very friendly and are willing to go above and beyond to help you find what you’re looking for. Be forewarned though, it’s tough not to spend a lot of money at this place.

Total Wine & More has a decent selection and fairly reasonable prices (you’re going to take a hit when it comes to state taxes anywhere you shop, but their base prices aren’t bad). They do have an everyday special where if you buy six or more bottles of select wines, you receive a 10% discount on your purchase of those items. Total Wine also frequently runs coupons in the Sunday paper where you can save an additional 5% off six bottles (for a total of 15%), with the exception of prices ending in «7.»
The reason I’m only giving this place three stars, rather than four or five for their selection and relatively low prices, is that they frequently run out of some of our favorite wines, and their ID-​checking policy is ridiculous.
With respect to running out of items we come in for, I can’t tell you how many times we have come into this place looking for one particular brand of Cava (Cristallino), only to find the shelf completely empty. Clearly, if this is happening on a frequent basis, they need to order more. Plain and simple.
As for their ID policy, I recently stopped in with my mother because she was looking to stock up on her favorite wine using the 15% off coupon. When we got to the register, the clerk would not proceed with the purchase until I showed her my ID (I haven’t been a minor in years). I did not so much as touch a bottle of her wine – I was actually standing by the door waiting for her to complete the transaction. When the checker told me to present my ID, I asked her why she needed to see it when I was not purchasing anything – what was being purchased was for my mother. She told me that it «was state law» so she was «required» to check it. I don’t know if this is a matter of managers misinforming their employees, or checkers trying to pull a fast one on customers, but there is no such state law prohibiting parents from buying alcohol in the company of their minors (in fact, see RCW 66.44.280(3), which specifically provides an exception to the law prohibiting a store from supplying a minor with alcohol when the alcohol is purchased by a parent to be consumed by the minor in the presence of a parent). A law prohibiting the sale of alcohol to a parent when their child is present would be absolutely ludicrous. I would suggest both managers and employees brush up on state liquor laws before handing a line of baloney to paying customers. If this is indeed their store policy, I would strongly urge them to reconsider their policy when it is clearly a case of a parent purchasing alcohol in the presence of their child. Would they have made the same request if I was five or ten? Come on now.

Find it ridiculous when trying to take advantage of the 15% off of 6 Washington wines and when you make it to the check stand the coupon states in fine print, «not valid for wine prices ending in 7. LOL! I literally laughed loudly, because I couldn’t believe how stupid that sounds. Whatever… next time I will easily go to QFC down the street from my house. At least I can get 20% off 6 WA wines and not have to worry about coupons, fine print, and especially wine prices that end in 7.

Such A BIG store with a BIG selection! Too many wines to choose from and they have all my favorite beers. Any liquor you need for mixed drinks along with all the barware you may need for your home bar. The prices are good too!

I actually ignored this place up for quite awhile when they first moved in because of the name. I don’t drink wine; I don’t need to go to a warehouse full of it. How wrong I was, friends. They aren’t kidding about the «& More» part! This place is your one stop shop for your alcohol needs. Between the tastings, education classes, and huge selection they definitely have something for you. Prices are good — they’re not always the cheapest for what I buy, but they usually are.
Overall service is friendly, but it can be a little slow at times. Not because it’s busy, but because employees have abandoned their post and it can take a bit to track someone down. Out of all the employees I’ve interacted with over the years, the only associate I’ve ever avoided (and currently still do) is Dayr. I don’t care how long the other line is, he rubs me the wrong way and that’s the last experience I want after a long day at work.

I have loved this place since they opened up and I am so glad they are opening more locations now.
Everytime I go there, the staff is super helpful and friendly! They actually know what they are talking about and their suggestions are on point. The variety is huge and they know it all.
Their hours are great. I think this location is open till 10pm. Perfect for grabbing drinks to prep for the night.
Oh and a big plus for me is that they have the total/​final price on the shelf right in front of you before you head to the register. It’s my favorite part since I never know how much liquor will be with that crazy tax.
Repeat customer. Keep it up!

This is a shame!
I shake my head hard! How could I have never seen this place for the almost 4 years I have now lived in Metro Seattle! This makes absolutely no sense at all, I LOVE IT HERE! I can literally find almost any drink that my brain can possibly think of. Can you get any better than this on the selection? I think not!
The options are actually a bit overwhelming, and I love the fact that there are sales on new product ALL THROUGHOUT the entire store. That’s simply amazing to me there. Sadly enough it’s just around the corner from my office so grabbing a bottle is too dang easy for me :(

Is this place real life? It’s like an alcohol palace, and I rocked it like a freakin’ princess!
I initially found this place when I was searching for a tasty bubbly I’d had at a charity event (Apex Sparkling Riesling). The sparking Riesling was a nice change from champagne, and I wanted more. Sadly, the winery who makes it isn’t in Woodinville, my wine distributor pal didn’t carry it, Wine World didn’t have it, and QFC told me that it wasn’t being made anymore (which would be terrible if true). So, I turned to THE SOURCE OF ALL KNOWLEDGE– Google. Bless you, Google, for pointing me to Total Wine & More.
The Interwebs confirmed my bubbly was available at the Tukwila location, but I was skeptical, so I called the store to see if they had it. I was SO IMPRESSED at how helpful they were! Not only where they kind, they were quick! They told me that they had the goods and even told me how many cases they had available. I was pretty pumped when I drove to pick this puppy up.
When I arrived, I was blown away by the selection. Wow! They had so much selection! Next time I am looking for something that is hard to find, I am starting here. The guards, nay, the angels, of this wine palace helped us locate the bubbly. It’s probably a good thing that I didn’t have time to look around because I would have wasted a bunch of time and spent a lot of money.
This is going to become my go-​to place outside of my visits to my favorite wineries. Great experience here– I highly recommend Total Wine & More.
