When we arrived, just before the lunch hour, there were 3 groups of 4 people and a larger group(maybe 10 people) in another room, plus the 2 of us, with only 2 wait staff working. We ordered an enchilada, taco, and a chili relleno, with rice and beans and a chili verde burrito. Instead of ground beef we wanted chicken enchilada and chicken taco, which was extra. Fine. The burrito was dry and we asked for sauce on top, so it was no longer a chili verde burrito but a Burrito Especial and you guessed it. There was an extra charge. The portion for the combination plate was large and the Burrito Especiale was an average size burrito with 2 pieces of meat on top and some sort of liquid on the plate. Not green in color, which I would have thought since I ordered chili verde. The chili relleno was great. The egg was fluffy and chili was flavorful. However, the remaining items were lacking individual flavor. The taco and enchilada tortillas were mushy and everything tasted the same. There was a lot of liquid on this plate well. The pork in the burrito was tender but flavorless. No chili flavor or green sauce anywhere inside or on of this burrito. Especiale, I think not. Our server was not friendly nor attentive enough to refill our drinks. Again there were only 20 people in the entire restaurant, so they were not busy. I always wonder where do they go, while you are eating and show up to give you your bill before you are finished eating. They received a rating if 2 only because of the chili relleno. Nothing Especiale about anything else. Not returning.

Keeping my review short on this one. Food was average, nothing jaw dropping or spectacular. Service was speedy and nice. It was clean and prices were reasonable. Not from Tulare, so probably won’t return to this place.

We went here last night, 10/17/2015. Everything was fine until the food arrived. I had gotten the Carnitas and the meat was full of maggots. I was fortunate enough to see this before eating any of it and we left right then. Some people may love it, but I will not return. Maggots crawling throughout the food is a deal breaker for me.

Because I love this place so much, I wanted to update my review. This time I ordered the taco and enchilada but with shredded beef instead of the ground beef and it was soooo much better! I definitely gonna do that again. It’s only 50 cents more to do that:)

If you want authentic Mexican food go else where. Just had dinner here and was really disappointed. Enchilada and Taco were both lacking in the taste department. Service was fine though…

la fiesta has great food but is hardly noticeable next to the bad service they display. today I had to get my own drinks salad dressing and silverware. and when you try to find help they act like the dont see you. the management is anything but terrible as well. im not usually a complainer but being a small business owner myself I rely on my customers to grow and to profit. la fiesta in both the tulare and visalia locations consistently demonstrate their bad service. they have excellent food possibly the best in tulare county its too bad they cant get it to your table correctly or quickly.

This is always a great place to eat. Warm chips and delicious salsa to begin with in a large basket. I always get the #19 chile verde burrito with enchilada sauce and cheese. Their rice and beans are pretty tasty as well. They also serve a side salad and being you dressings to put on if you like. They also have a beautiful bar area. It is very clean and nice inside and I’ve never had a bad experience in the years I’ve gone here.

Went here on a Friday night. Sat in the regular dining room since the bar was pretty full. Service was okay, but lackluster. The food was okay for bar food, but probably not«restaurant”-worthy. They give you chips and salsa to start. I had a carne asada burrito. Friend had a carnitas plate. Had some guacamole and bean dip as an appetizer. Wife had a couple margaritas. She said they were weak. Everything was pretty average — maybe we just didnt order the correct stuff? All said, it is inexpensive, so that is nice.

Margaritas are so-so, good salsa, but the rest of our food was not good… We had burritos, tamales, and a torta. None of which we liked. The service was also terrible. Despite being very affordable, I would not recommend this place to anyone. Go elsewhere for Mexican.

Chips and salsa are good. U can’t stop eating them. Horchata here is also pretty tasty. Not all Mexican restaurants have good horchata. My cheeseburger and fries very good as well. Side note: I got a cheeseburger at a Mexican place because i don’t really like eating at Mexican restaurants because it’s usually not what i Expect. Anyway The waitress was very friendly and attentive .I think her name was Yolanda.

I don’t know why I decided to go here again — horrible service! Waitress is too busy«socializing» — I feel for the one actually working. Finally had to get my own napkins. Margarita was awful — should have known my the funky color. Food was ok — I won’t complain but not raving about it either. This place used to be great — now it’s dirty and disappointing — management really needs to step up!

The place Is ok… But the problem is… It’s dirty, dirty, dirty!!! Elbows get stuck to the tables. I have to clean crumbs and dead flys of the table. And the attitude of the waitresses suck! If they hire happier girls and clean a bit, this would be a nice place to come!

My girlfriend and I came here mainly because it is close to our house and we wanted mexican food and margaritas. We sat at the bar and I ordered a margarita on the rocks and she ordered a Long Island and they were both excellent. The bartender was very nice and was very attentive. The chips seemed stail. The salsa is good. I ordered albondingas soup as my appetizer and it was excellent. My entrée was the steak fajitas and the steak was over cooked and very chewey. So, we’ll probably just drop by for appetizers and a drink and won’t bother with the entrees.

Really good chips and salsa to start off — not very spicy, but tasty nonetheless. Added bonus — a nice shopping center and pretty nice and big restaurant with clean and elegant décor. Bar, from what I saw, is separate and a nice size, too. This place is pretty cooking for being in the middle of NOWHERE. Tulare of all places. I’ll be back though, when I drive through. Ok — I ordered the #21, tamale with chile relleno, rice and beans. I asked for no garnishing — which I think never has any place in mexican food. Beans and lettuce DON’T MIX. I always pass. I’m so disappointed. I really wanted to like this place. I’m gonna be nice and give it 3 stars because it was pretty busy, so maybe there’s other items on the menu I need to try. Also, the beans and rice were really good. Beans really nice and cheesy, like my mom’s jokes. The chile? Wasn’t bad. Americanized a bit. Not made with Mexican cheeses. The sauce was ok — not bad at all. The tamale? Not good. The masa, or the corn, was well made. But the pork had a weird taste. I don’t eat pork if it has this flavor, I’ve almost died from it. So the beans and rice saved the day! Probably what saved the Mexicans at the Alamo AND versus the French. But not good enough to save Aztlan.
