Customer service was top notch! Very friendly, and that sets the mood when you start your day or night at any hotel. Stopped in for just the night, I needed a little getaway and this place worked out great! I went through for a reservation, only 55 dollars! You can also cancel for free until the very day you check in until 6pm. My room was very clean, and bathroom too. I forgot to make a special request for a refrigerator and microwave so that was a bummer. The a.c. unit works so good and cooled down my room in less than 5 min. My room did not have carpet, such a plus! It was a wood laminate. There is a laundry facility on site, as well as a pool. Fast food restaurants and sit down restaurants are in the surrounding are, so your never short of choices on what to eat. I left before 5 am, and the night associate was very friendly when I left. They really do leave the light on for you.

I’m teetering between 2 or 3, having a hard time being impartial after staying in other hotels. Settled for three for now. They did give us the bottom floor as requested, but wish with how empty it was that it would have been closer to our car. I never looked at the pool but did see someone cleaning it the next day. The floor in the room was dirty, large waffle stomper sole prints all over the laminate, which made us glad we brought cheap flip flops. We also wore them in the shower. The sheets were clean, a few stains, a few cigarette burns in the blankets. The spreads were gross and stained. We used our own blankets/pillows. The rest of the room was basically clean. Not enough towels were provided. Small room, no microwave/fridge but really no room for it. Internet was an additional cost, with a choice of 2.99 or 4.99. I paid $ 5, but when I got into the room to sign on, it kicked me back to the 2.99 plan with no option to get out of it. At midnight I was upset, irrationally tired after our run in with the hamburger ordeal,(left my review for that). By morning, we checked to see why we paid extra for slow mo net. They gave my husband a new code, as they said we were given the wrong one. I sent him back in, as I was leaving, and the new code was basically useless to me. I only needed net for about an hour the night before, if even that much. Anyway, he came out with my original $ 5, so at least that was settled. I wish they would take the time to steam clean their walkways, and parking lots. The whole demeanor of the place creeped me out a bit, although I didn’t see any people outside that would cause me to feel that way. Also, put some ashtrays out for people who smoke so they won’t use the stairways and planters, or, maybe they would anyway. Oh, and the A/C while a bit of an older model from the previous motel 6 works great, almost too good. Overall, cheap, basic room with no frills, works in a pinch. With a few cleanups, this motel should garner more business.

Near Downtown Bargain: This is one of the Motel 6’s that hasn’t been remodeled yet. For a frequent traveler through the Tulare & Visalia areas, the service and location is still excellent. This is about the 12th time I’ve stayed here when in the mood for budgeted travel, which is quite often. There’s a pool, guest laundry, and all the vending and ice work where others seem to fail due to poor maintenance and triple digit heat. If you take front room, be prepared for some moderate traffic noise. However, this didn’t disturb my sleep. This is one M6 the still sets a good example where other ones of this franchise are noticeably slipping. As I’m acquainted with some of the staff, I shared some photos of the remodeled look from my other M6 stays. They were impressed and told me that this location is slated for the same facelift soon.

It’s clean and very competitive prices. Once your eyes are closed the rooms look like any other motel. You need to remember at 47.00 a night a comfortable bed and pillow, what can you complain about. NOw 2 years ago I did have a complaint it was prom night and they rented to some noise and destructive teens. The night clerk when I called to complain told me it was prom night and they will be loud. The next morning several of us were compensated because of it so I was happy then. So now I always ask if prom night was that may night

Because there was no spider on the wall next to the bed. And no weird looking bug at the top of the door. The showers are so different from any other motel 6 i’ve been to but it was awesome after my long day.

Smells of cow manure from the neighboring feedlots. Overall ultra sleazy. Had an unguarded pool we wouldn’t venture to try. Room had a dirty bathroom. $ 57 for a queen size bed was cheaper than the other neighboring hotels(except for days in), but still too much for this place. NOTE: the Best Western receptionist kindly informed us that they fixed their prices in order to eliminate any price competition.

Who stays at and reviews a Motel 6? This FTR-obsessed guy! I ended up lingering in Yosemite NP later than planned, so my original thought of camping at Sequoia NP was out. Late night, I needed a place to stay that was still pretty close to Sequoia. Motel 6 fit that description. What is there to say about Motel 6? It’s a basic room, with a somewhat comfortable bed, and HBO! Wi-Fi costs $ 2.99 I think. I just use my tethered phone instead. The room I stayed in had an interesting shower, with the shower head above the curtain. Anyway, this Motel 6 location is pretty perfect if you need a starting point into Sequoia NP. It’s less than 50 miles(short of an hour) to the park entrance.
